And the egregious non interference in the NO game makes people forget that the idiot saints and their idiot coach didnt just run the clock down on that series to mere seconds while setting up the gimme FG for the win. INC pass on 1st down .incomplete on the non call. no time off the clock and LA has all day to march down and tie it. Inexcusable. Why on Gods earth were they throwing the ball that series???? To maybe get a TD that would still leave the Rams a chance to tie it because of good time left on the clock? Stupid teams get hurt the worst from bad calls.

Again a lot of this returns to the genius of belichek. Brady gets lost in the shuffle if he isnt miraculously picked at 6 by NE.Perfect storm there--nerdy unathletic perfectionist guy becomes a great QB in conjunction w the perfectionist and genius Belichek. Edelman is a stocky little guy with a real quick 1st move and sure hands perfectly suited to the rules of the nfl and to belicheks taking advantage of the rules as well as seeing the weaknesses in all the defenses. Better for belicheks system than Randy Moss. Tasker would have been just as good in Belicheks system as a WR as edelman is. Same quick first move(he was uncoverable on STs) and same sure hands and same short stocky build. Levy while a good coach wasnt in the same universe as Belichek and didnt figure out how to use Taskers receiving skills.When he finally saw WR time he was too old and kelly was too broken down(bad shoulder). That said its hard to knock Edelman--He did brilliantly what was asked of him. Hall of Fame?? who knows anymore about that??? His stats say no.But in fairness he wasnt featured til late in his career.

this is really just a bad league now. walsh had some great teams to battle him. lombardi died young(that redskins team was up and coming quickly). belichek has had no one for over 20 yrs to compete with.

nfl is in sad shape when a coach and a 42 yr old qb can dominate said league. i feel proud of not watching a game that i knew the outcome of beforehand. belichek is smart and the rest of the league is stupid. its a crap league . they need a minor league to train real QBs and real coaches.
