  1. no doubt...its kinda in vogue for people to talk about his O line to diminish the guy.....and there may be a point to that if people are spewing about him being the best ever or top 5(hes not close) because all the yards he piled up.But he was still a tremendous runner/.
  2. Shady,Gore,Singleton RB committee...will keep everyone fresh
  3. he is a lot stronger than shady...different kinda runner
  4. Emmit also extremely strong...and again good football speed
  5. OK--i will take your word for it...But he gets the job done I assume...getting up to the line quickly
  6. thank you for the clarification. there is football speed.....adrenaline and focus
  7. guy is 5 7 203........thats like a 6 ft 240 equivalent--
  8. jerry rice ran about a 4.6 40....never ever saw him get caught from behind
  9. uhmmm what was thurmans 40 time?? i guarantee not very good. the guy is also 5 7 and 1/2 203LBs...a little tank who is quick. maybe a little gorelike
  10. yeah. any kind of slump would be very ugly. because that would entail Less touch on the passes--and Less ability to read the field.
  11. he threw it at the minus 3....TO caught it at the 47....and waited quite a while for the ball. thats 50 yds. You ever watch the 13 yr olds in PUNT PASS and KICK??--you need to get out more. i saw the play live with the replays--the pushoff was earlier. the pass was 50 damn yards. what is wrong with you? FITZ had a joke arm
  12. yeah that was a floater--which owens slowed down on--then pushed off.stop showing this stupid vid.50 yards in the air. wowwwwwwwwww
  13. love fitzy...but having to throw the ball as hard as you can to hit a guy across the middle(his best pass) for 20 yards----and having to throw a rainbow up to get the ball 50 yards is gonna cost u. Defenses just keep moving tighter in on him as the season goes on because of the noodle arm. With all the expected disastrous results. fitzy is such a tough guy though you have to love him. good athlete, good runner, hard to bring down.Would have been a good running back on Joe kapp's old viking teams.
  14. I love Thurman...But Jim Kelly's offense was completely loaded and the no huddle created so much space and confusion on the D that there was huge amts of space for a RB to work with. Kenneth Davis did just as well as Thurman when he was in there YPC.Not saying he was as good as thurman but come on.Hate to rain on the parade. Only the greatest ones can produce when everyone in the stadium knows that the ball is going to him. Those who could do that are very rare.JB,OJ,Campbell,Sanders,Sayers,Dickerson. Thurman was an extremely tough and smart runner and never dropped a pass.I'm not in any way putting him down. But he was blessed to have a great great offense to work with.
  15. Agreed. he is a 'good' QB...enough to win a championship with a great team around him.And no one gets any faster after about age 25---so that part of his game wont improve. But QBing in the USA is at a premium. A lot worse QBs than wilson make TONS of dough.
  16. Gore and Thomas are very similar statistically...and i dont in any way mean just sticking around forever in Gore's case. I dont see how people are laughing it off like its so obvious that thurman was better. Both were very fortunate that they had very very solid teams in the early/prime years. Gore did a LOT of his running in Indy, however, with very mediocre blocking. I think Gore ..like Thurman, is right on the border of 1st ballot.
  17. Gore is a great RB..along the lines of Thurman or Emmit Smith....Among the very elite like OJ,JB,Barry,Campbell?? NO. But a HofFamer for sure.1st ballot may be slightly tight.
  18. I dont think thats a given at all. Judgment and accuracy arent minor fixes.
  19. true--but that doesnt mean that what i said isnt true.the whole culture of the RB being the best athlete/player on the field and extremely important as well is over. ridiculous..the ONLY ones in the conversation?? Barry was undoubtedly better than earl Canpbell,OJ Simpson, gayle sayers etc etc etc?? Thats just silliness.
  20. No. Except if you are the kinda team that drafts EJ Manuel 7 rounds too soon..
  21. Even better...dont look at the wonderlic at all.And look at the game film or scout them live...And see if they make smart decisions on the field.
  22. unless your wonderlic score is under 10 the wonderlic score means absolutely nothing regarding football smarts.--Based on the list of names above. we all knew that Jim Kelly and Dan Marino werent taking AP chemistry and math in high school...But they were very smart football players.
  23. 5507/browns-see-projected-win-total-jump-3-games Bills at 6? Really? What a joke... All depends on Josh Allen. If he sucks we win 6.If he is great we win 10.
