  1. QB IS the problem---because the lines can be fixed. The QB situation--unless JP works out...CANT be fixed. Holcomb--while a very good backup QB--is not the guy who is gonna lead us anywhere.
  2. even with the junk talent we have now this is a 6-10 team at least with Holcomb at QB and 3-13 with JP at QB(unless JP grows up quickly). So much depends on our HORRIBLE QB situation. We really have to hope JP works out.-And we really have to play the guy or get rid of him--no middle ground .
  3. If we pick Sherman we'll always be the 'underdog'.
  4. It was such a dumbarse call that Porter had the right to question the refs like that. Such an enormous officiating blunder---after being given mucho time for review of the play--makes questioning a refs integrity A God given right. What are people supposed to say---"ooopsy!! he missed the call???"
  5. OMG do i have a picture for you..i'll have to find it
  6. Anyone on this mesage board could have won that SB as head coach with the talent Martz had.Yet --he blew it.Then--as his team became more his own--it slid more and more into mediocrity.
  7. I agree. Jauron is a very solid coach. He was good with a low talent squad in Chicago. He is as good of a coach as Marv was when he came here.
  8. no way//......2004 was a phoney #2 D built on holding Cleveland to 6 yds offense. When they had to stop anyone in critical situations they couldn't even come close(Pittsburgh).
  9. I'd say 1988--and the post strike '87 team. Too bad we didnt have that D in the SB. 2nd place---1998--Fat Ted in his prime..young Pat...Cowart....
  10. Manning isnt as good as Kelly???? hmmmm.. not so sure about that.I may give manning the edge there.
  11. collegeguy--that is a disturbing avatar...
  12. OK--good point.I WOULD like to see this in writing though...haven't seen it printed yet. I am sure the rule book has been scoured.I wonder why I haven't seen the actual rule.Makes me very suspicious.
  13. Exactly...like its Ralphs fault.Ralph called him at EXACTLY the wrong time and made him screw up the 4 th pick in the entire draft.....lol
  14. OH--and I suppose Jerry Jones and little Danny Snyder hardly call the coaches at all;)
  15. So Sullim...A DB 'catches a pass' thrown by the opposing qb...and as often occurs backtracks while running.Lets say he runs backward at a slight angle halfway across the field...then slips and the ball falls(knee on ground) out of his hands before he is touched by someone from the offensive team. All of this could take from..oh 4-8 seconds. Then by your definition he is still in the act of catching the ball because he has not moved forward.--after having had the ball for quite a while. ??? come on.
  16. They couldnt stand Belichek in Cleveland. This guy is a very good coach. Dont be ridiculous.
  17. Its called functional illiteracy--very common in this country. A billion dollar industry cant hire an official with an education.
  18. I think we need Will Ferrel with his'guns' on the O-line.
  19. i would LOVE to have saunders be hc. but that would make too much sense for this organization..
  20. OMG--that board is like listening to a church group.Where is the bile?/Where is the hatred? where is the havenolife anger and outrage that we have on our board??
  21. Well---thats slightly different than what you first implied---but LETS HOPE that that is the ONLY possible explanation for that cal(it being some obscure rule on the books)--because if it ISN'T on the books---then the ref IS an idiot. You are assuming that some weird rule is on the books---and only thru that weird rule is the ref NOT an idiot.
