  1. Thanx for clearing that up Kzoo. Saved me the effort. I have been a track fan forever--and I realize that those 40 times are really kind of a running joke among those in the know. Moorman is undoubtedly a fast guy--and could do very well in this competition...but he was not a world class speedster.-There was a white guy(not beebe) who played on the Bills who WAS a world class runner---and I am spacing his name.he was talented but goyt hurt and had a short career...hmmm--someone help me out on that one.
  2. I had an invitation to try out for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 1982...didnt go cuz was waay out shape.I'm 6 1 202 w/10% Body fat.--big deal.I can throw a football 65 yards easily and im in my late 40s. But none of this ,matters--because even an unathletic person who carefully has watched football for most of his life can understand most of it---sometimes better than the tards who played. Some of the dumbest football people ever are coaches and ex-players.
  3. 41 year old Hasek....-trust me--your athletic ability wanes eventually..
  4. Whether or not you agree with Montanas position on the work comp issue--Montana doesnt like the league because of it..--and the otherthread on montana is an ignorant babblingfest because they arent aware of what the real issue is.
  5. #2--..different league back then.Thurman woulda been a good runner--but the no-huddle opened up a LOT for him. Thurman MAY have gotten 1000 yds rushing in a full season in the 70s.-with perhaps 4-500 yds receiving. The O back then was traditional drop back w/ long downfield passing to the receivers..not the madcap--wide open---exhaust the defense offense which was run by Kelly.Thurman was perfect for the no-huddle with his great hands and the ability to wait in blocks. OJ woulda gained 3000 total yds in a healthy seasson with 16 games in Kellys offense. It would a been like Bush at USC this year---just running wild.
  6. all the odds make sense--except for green bay.... GB should be 1000:1
  7. Dont know if people are aware--but the NFL has tried to screw Montana out odf his workers comp benefits and there have been lawsuits etc.Dont know where it presently is legally. Montana has serious back problems from playing in the nfl--and he has no regular health ins to cover it--so he relied on his werk comp--which the nfl was trying to screw him out of. Even for a relatively wealthy guy like him--he could be in financial trouble if serious surgery or complications happen. I dont think he is particularly fond of the league. A lot of [people are really screwed over by the NFL. Most of the owners are greedy stingy B6543stards. Of course--thats just my opinion.. I could be ever so wrong;)
  8. Oj was a better player than Bruce. Bruce was not as good as reggie White--his contemporary.Although Bruce was still one of the all time greats.OJ was the best of his time.
  9. loved mini max too..thanx for reminding me...--the guy had a ton of guts
  10. NO--i dont agree.Big Ben made some plays when he had to. Sure -he did not have a good game---but he got what he ahd to done.JP hasnt proven that he can do anything yet. Plus---Ben had 3 v good to great games just to get them here.
  11. teeth gnashing day for seahawk fans no doubt.a lot of near misses.
  12. McNabbs total space out at the end of last years game.....or The Seahawks total spaceout RE: time management at the end of the half and the game? A pass in the flat with 27 seconds left and no time outs when you are in FG position-and need 11 points???...bizarre.
  13. your knee doesnt have to be down for the ball to break the plane and be a touchdown. --the ball already broke the plane..then he was hit and knocked back to where his knee hit the ground and the ball was behind the line.It was a legit TD.
  14. --roethlesberger was in on that play--ball crossed the plane in the air--then he was knocked back and landed on the ground behind the line.
