  1. A Rod finally had a great postseason then... But its hard to take a guy who was on Roids for all his big number years that seriously.
  2. Niagara Falls NY is a pit. However the Indian rez to the east would be a good place for an open air stadium.....with Buffalo Bill Cody type wild West shows at the half or before or after games--or even as their own main event.Build a couple of old west towns near there as well...Would be an international/worldwide attraction.Bring back the old west thru this venue.People would flock there from Europe and asia. Smoke signals on game day ...and perhaps at other important days of the year or at different events there. Reasonable access for Rochester and Canada.
  3. Makes sense.Huge upgrade. That is the main reason for the improvement.I'd add a dash of Chan's/ Fitzy's evolution + getting past the chaos of last yr(esp the first half)to the recipe.
  4. The Bills certainly have one of the best run blocking O-lines in the league. The pass protection is improving;but some of that improvement is due to Fitzys game evolving under the direction of Chan.A few teams have gotten a real strong push on us so far this year--which was offset by Chans play calling and Fitzys quick decison making.Slightly above average and improving for the pass protection.Top 5 run blocking.
  5. actually...found the big boy very entertaining and well spoken...
  6. Yes. Polian ..I am sure has had several heart to hearts w his head coach.Kelly,Manning,Luck...not bad Bill.
  7. that shoulda been 7--that was a duck ..fitzy does enough other things well though
  8. User fees OK---that makes sense. Bonds???--thats New york State(and /or erie county) getting deeper into debt.NYS/E countie deeper in debt means the poor slob taxpayer will get hit for the $ again in one form or another.I'd just like to see it done another way if possible. I live in CA where these magical 'BONDS' paid for everthing..until CA got so in debt that they started proposing BONDS just to pay off present debt obligations and other current expenses. Talk about a state sanctioned ponzie scheme.
  9. New York state is how far in debt?...and how big of a present gap is there betw present tax revenues and present costs to run the govt? Perhaps the billionaire(s) who buy the Bills could possibly pony up the $ in xchange for partial ownership. I realize this is a bit simplistic..-But New york State can't even come close to fulfilling its basic obligations at this point in time--let alone the pensions that they wont be able to pay in a very few years. A tax increase on already overtaxed NYS citizens may not be the wisest way to get this thing done.
  10. I like it a lot.Now thats a Pittsburgh kinda draft.
  11. Yes he CAN make those throws---but he needs to really wind up and heave it as hard as he can. So his protection better be good and the play better develope very quickly--because he cant throw the ball that short distance with a flick of the wrist like many high school QBs can even do. Fitzy is in the top 1/3 of QBs in this league.he usually gets it done.I'd rather have him than some slow thinking, slow moving QB with a cannon.
  12. fitz's signing is a no-brainer.its a good move.we have a good QB here finally. not the worlds greatest talent--but many plusses incl good athleticism, ability to hit receivers in stride across the middle 5-20 yards down the field, quick decision maker(usually),gets rid of ball quick so makes our pass protection look better than it is,doesnt sulk, doesn't give up/fold when under pressure. a bad QB situation can ruin a franchise for years. so while some may think '10 mil/yr for Fitz???'-its really a small price to pay for a QB that gives you a chance to win each week.--.....Just be sure to cover your eyes when he tries to throw that long out pattern---or when we're on our own 45 and its hail mary time-pray for a good wind gust.
  13. "i wanna walk like youuu..talk like youuu..."---voice and songs by the great louis Prima
  14. He does not have a great deal of talent. his accuracy is poor. his arm strength is below average. yet i said he has made himself into a good qb with the help of an offense brilliantly designed by chan to maximize his strengths(quick thinking, good mobility, good composure).i like fitzy a lot. i think he is a good qb---and i love his guts and the fact that he doesnt mentally fold when things go bad. but the fact is he is not that talented.if he played under an offense where he was forced to wing the ball downfield a lot he would look just awful. he doesnt have that kind of talent. if he tried to QB Kurt Warners Rams or Warren Moons Oilers he wouldnt even be able to get the ball downfield to his receivers half the time.
  15. while fitz certainly lacks in the talent dept--he--along with Chan--has made himself an above avg QB. and without fitzy--this bills team is awful.just the nature of the game these days. so in the big picture yes he is worth the money.and it was necessary that we signed him.
  16. I think its going perfectly for the Colts. Their franchise QB is just down the street from you SJB. I close to agree with you but I would say that the Colts have been an above average football team with Manning making them dangerous in the playoffs every year. I though they had some decent talent there---but the 62 points is hard to swallow. I've always thought of polian as a very very good GM not great.I think he got fortunate the year they won the SB because of NEs misfortune.-In Buffalo he didn't put enough size on our D line.-Everything else he did a darn good job of. Remember though--our beloved Bills would be 0-7 or 1-6 with painter at QB.
  17. Trent Edwards post-concussion would tie jamarcus for #1 overall. At that point you could put major money on Trent throwing a 5 yard checkdown in a Hail Mary situation from the 50.
  18. Jimmy don't be angry. You have a lot to be thankful for. You got a smart daughter goes to Lackawanna College. You own one of the most profitable strip joints in northern Jersey.Your wife's a piece of arse..least she was when you married her.You got those things because you're you...not because you're Calabrese..
  19. anything by Foreigner. anything by Paul McCartney after 1973. And 'The Night Chicago Died'.
  20. Paul Costa. 2 time all-star at TE---avg 17 yds per catch for career. Then made mid-career move to offensive tackle. Yet no one has mentioned him. Talented ,versatile guy.
  21. Mike Montler needs to go in before Greg bell.
  22. If Fred were 26 and we had some other good looking RB for depth I'd say yeah ok. Not with a 30 yr old Fred and zero other talent behind him. I think CJ has shown real flashes of being a big play guy and he seems to have excellent hands.
  23. Mosley was the fastest white man I have ever seen on a football field w possible exception of Lance Alworth.-He was faster than Beebe for sure and faster than that little guy who played for The St Louis Rams(forget his name).-As you say too bad he wrecked his knees. I remember him running under a few passes that were freakishly overthrown ala Alworth. aah what could have been.
  24. Love The Eugene Marve mention. One terrific DE for the Bills who is too often forgotten is Ben Williams. -In my book a better player than Schobel and a few other better known Bills.
