  1. carter has better stats slightly than andre..but that in itself isnt an argument. reed had better stats than lance alworth, lynn swann...but they were both better than reed---not by much. problem with reed in this voting was that he was a verrrry steady, verrry good WR who could run after the catch etc and goo over the middle with no fear.he was,however,unspectacular.-I think art Monk is a borderline HoF guy.I rate him the same as reed. carter was spectacular. NO ONE had a better sense of the sidelines or the back line of the endzone.he was magnificent pulling down passes that othe rreceivers just couldnt--and with an otherworldy sense of where he was on the field. That gives him the edge over reed. It wouldnt be an injustice if reed gets in. But Carter was better.
  2. we were handed 11-5 on a silver platter this yr with this schedule. it woulda been a chiefslike 11-5,,but still 11-5
  3. is he going to put a peeing statue and colored flood lights in front of the ralph as well?
  4. true...IF they have a better coach than Chan. Chan would still screw it up even with those necc components..--altho I thionk #2 receiver is not a HUGE need ...and the need is unproven due to Fitzys inability to pass miami is worse...i liked their coach last yr-----but i agree w you bout our coach
  5. thank goodness i was flying the friendly skies today and missed 60 min of aggravation. i heard chan doesnt know how to coach. buffalo is always the last to know;)
  6. Even though Im old I remember the guy as a big fave of my older friends and older siblings.Big w the teenagers at the time. At first I didnt remember the name--but then recognized the pic in 2 secs and brought it all back . On the subj of the stadium back then--I remember it being full of drunks and assorted losers---very notably the first game ever in the stadium.AND--I havent been to a Bills game in about 35 years. So I cant compare. But as bad as it was back then--and it was packed w a-holes--it didnt seem out of control the way it is described today...
  7. I think we need to get stevie a QB who can throw the ball----then we decide if he is a game breaker. but it has the arab spring..how can springtime be hell?
  8. CJ is the best open field running back in the league right now. questionable whether he is an every down back. While not tiny at 5 11(generous) and 200(generous)he doesnt play like a guy who can run it into the line and control the game.Fred is still(altho slightly over the hill) superior in this aspect. Comparisons to OJ.....OJ was extremely strong and could carry the ball 30 times a game. Barry...well--thats a better comparison..lets see how that developes.Barry ran a lot more----and I always thought it was lose 2 or 3 or gain 60 fotr barry.that wasnt as productive for the Lions offense as it coulda been. CJ 18 runs/game, Freddie 13-18 depending on the type of game it is. CJ is in his prime.Use him.
  9. I would call it a photo finish between Buff,Cleveland,Jax and Oakland....-with the Bills claiming the title of 'most eternally hopeless', the Browns claiming the title of 'most sad', Jax claiming the title of 'most irrelevant',and OAK claiming the title of 'most disorganized'.
  10. Indy is profoundly lucky...with a good dose of shrewdness thrown in there.I wonder if it was actually polian who ordered the season tanked. If he did the Colts owe him more than they could ever repay. And w Indy their 2nd string QB was in actuality so horrendous that no one could prove in any way that it was a tank job. Luck is already one of the top NFL QBs. He was a CANT MISS---and those are rare in NFL history---Elway,-and i cant think of another right a t this moment. You could see that in college. Well stated and well thought out.
  11. not saying too much....but he was somewhat improved...lets hope that continues
  12. ..and I dont see a path to anything different over the next several yrs unless we change coaches(for the better)
  13. i agree with your logic on this one. there is enough to criticize chan about. this wasnt one of those times
  14. In defense of Chan.....which normally I dont do--He could have wanted that 9 secs to think about whether he was gonna go for the endzone or just settle for the FG. The TO gave him time to think it over.
  15. well---lets hope that the wrist problem was the main reason why he was so mediocre . he is being paid to be a GREAT DE. Lets see it. If he is---it completely changes the prognosis for this team. we'll see.
  16. at least he didnt say 'its hard to win in this league'---i respect him for being honest
  17. thats a big part of it--agreed....but i also see so many game mgmt mistakes that a jr high coach wouldnt make.
  18. its such good therapy watching peyton play football.......-so few good qbs in the league
