  1. I think he'd make a very good fullback. Knows how to run.Perfect size at 240. Its crazy for a guy with this much football talent not to be playing a lot. He has much experience handling the ball and running the ball so this type of transition will be easy. I see him much more as a FB than a TE. He is slightly undersized as a TE---and at FB he is in the backfield in familiar territory. At the right price any team would be foolish not to try this.
  2. have u watched the tapes?? the guy is OK. Thats it. Just because we are crappy at finding QBs doesnt mean we throw anything upo against the wall.Of course the bills may just do that--which would be equal in effectiveness to what they have done the past 15 yrs
  3. all time......LT and Reggie white....honorable mention to Deion Sanders and Bruce. for now....Willis and wilfork
  4. Nassib...based on what little Ive seen of him....looks awkward out there. marginal talent. spend a 5th to 7th rounder on him MAYBE.
  5. sheesh---nassib seems like a very average talent....not bad---but a 5th or 6th rounder
  6. the book is written on wilson. he has skills besides just running the ball.he is cool out there--and always attacking. yes he has some kinks to work out. but already in the top 10 QBs
  7. Sheppard and Bradham??? Are you kidding? Sheppard is lost in space out there--literally.Mediocre to average at stuffing a slow developing run and useless on coverage ,anticipation and open field tackling. Bradham--...I remeber watching some film on him that someone posted--college film--and thinking that this guy has no anticipation..that he waits to see where a play is going then reacts late to it.Yes he does hit hard. I just question his instincts out there. We need LBs all around.I agree that we shouldnt stretch on a QB in the 1st or 2nd that we could get in the 3rd anyway. And I agree that we should get an Alex Smith to run things while we fill our massive hole at LB and shore up some other stuff.
  8. and it wasnt a subtle thing. it was so obvious he was operating at about 30%. strange strange decision making by Shanny
  9. the chance of wash dealing cousins is 0 %
  10. yeah--when the NFL wasnt watered down as much you mean?? when the hitting was just as hard and less restricted?? Flutie was a good QB--he just never got ghis proper chance--and was an all time great in canada- I think Wilson will be better than him--and has the potential to be nearly as good as tark
  11. you dont get he feeling that Wilson is at that much risk of getting injured. Flutie rarely got injured. The great Tark was rarely hurt. I compare Wilson to those 2...he has a funny throwing motion..about the same arm strength as tark..and better accuracy than Flutie.
  12. Fact is no one knows if this is a good or bad hire. He may be an amazing coach who dragged a horrible minimally talented team at Syracuse to become a good team. We will see how this guy coaches next year. --Not so much strictly on W-L ...but on how we look, how games/time are managed etc etc. While not excited he aint a retread.
  13. horrible idea. too many make the playoffs now.
  14. Just read the article on Ernie and just discovered that he died in NOV. His name probbly doesnt mean much to you if you are under 50-but he was a larger than life very nice man who was an active member of the Buffalo community for 50 years. Anyone remember his hamburger joint on main betw Bennett High and The High School for the deaf?? I lived in that area in the late 70s early 80s--and would go there not only for the burgers--but also for the great big smile the big man had for every one of his customers. RIP Ernie
  15. if thats not 90 degrees then its 89
  16. yeah--one of the best LB corps ever.--I did like the New orleans group from the 90s-Sam Mills, Rickey Jackson, Pat Swilling, and Vaughan Johnson--IMHO the best LB corps ever.
  17. Peyton #1. Rodgers,Brady,Brees overall not much difference there.they are sliightly behind. Luck is knocking on the door.Loudly. he is right there and should take over the reigns in 1-2 yrs.
  18. not really. carrol had bledsoe as a weight on his shoulders. wooden indians dont do much good for coaching careers
  19. sobering thought. but u can always turn that around. name me some guys who entered the NFL for the first time as a head coach . there are probably very few to makea decent sized sample.then u need to acct for the fact that most guys w oodles of nfl exp fail.
  20. Lovie Smith???? U guys are kidding I hope. That would be going from D- to a C.
  21. he is a royal choker--thats not gonna change at his age. a big reason Dallas hasnt advanced is his consistent choking. That said--of course he is better than what we have now. But it would be a waste of years if we brought him in. Lets get a guy who is not proven to be a habitual choker. Thats better than getting a guy who will imporve us from 6-10 to 8-8.
  22. romo and rivers are the same QB---its not a matter if they screw up its a matter of when. They would both drive us insane and be driven out of town in a couple years. Just having good arms doesnt make QBs. These guys are proof. It would be a waste of time, waste of seasons w either of these guys.
  23. Absolutely...w something in his contract stating that he can not throw a ball over 20 yards or toward the sidelines
  24. So true. Thurman was stronger. He definitely played bigger. CJ is not a guy you can pound away with. Of course CJ is faster and better in the open field than Thurman was. Thurman had remarkably good hands--he never dropped a ball. --Completely different players--both excellent. All that said CJ needs more touches.
