he was a good player in the nfl--and woulda probably been a very good one if he had the chance. Of course you are correct about his game/skill set being taylor made for the CFL. So great CFL player...good to very good NFL player. of course has nothing to do with the fact that he was 40 yrs old w the chargers

no its based on watching all his games last year. when the hand got better he turned into what he is --a good DE.His career body of work is that of a good DE. Teams don't let excellent or great DEs go as easily as Houston did.---I don't see him clearly at all as one of our top 5. Should he be in the discussion?....maybe. he is certainly nowhere near the player that CJ is. And I think Kyle has shown himself to be slightly better than Mario over his career. Mario is Clearly not better at his position than Byrd,Freddie,Stevie.

I think people are basing their Mario picks on what they imagine he could be. Houston didn't struggle very hard to keep the guy.

Williams and esp dareus don't deserve this distinction. Williams was above average once he got the hand straightened out and after being horrible for the first 8 games.dareus was a complete no-show last year. they haven't earned it. Spiller ,Byrd ,Gilmore--good picks. Add Fred and either Kyle or stevie to the list.

part of the long term feasibility with Flutie was that he was almost 36 when he came in and rescued the Bills. Even Flutie got old. Yes he had some limitations---but he never got a true chance early in his career before going off to Canada to dominate that league in Jordanesque style.

very smart move---of course a team that is in the top 3 for decades makes lots of smart moves. tebow is a good football player. they will use him wisely.
