  1. ....lets see how tuel developes.....despite a cupple sailers i love his accuracy
  2. nice to see some throwing accuracy out there...plus little to no panic in the pocket
  3. ..hmmm...many other explanations there.......but who knows you may be right
  4. hehehe He throws a good deep ball...lets let him wing it. And someone smack him in the head if he starts playing like a scared little kid.
  5. yeah that brady with no TEs and throwing to a guy named edelman and whose team is 6-2...that old codger. mmmm...thats a bit of a stretch..the 'obvious' dots I mean.
  6. i can understand the reluctance too...but since we were rushing him pretty well and it wasnt working and we were obviously headed for a loss if we didnt do something different.....It mighta helped if we got to him a few more times--shook him up.
  7. slightly---but still good enough to beat the Buffalo Bills' of the world
  8. I agree with most of the points here...im just saying that since we were overmatched at QB etc---perhaps our only chance was to shake up Brees
  9. This Bills team is more talented and better coached than they have been in a while. They at least looked like they belonged on the same field as the saints. Problem is--we have backup QBs on our team and we have one good LB. The saints have a great QB and a lineup with very few weaknesses. Soon as we get a QB ,some LBs and an O coordinator we will be a team to reckon with. No shame in this game---we didnt get outclassed completely.--But lets not look at every bad bounce we got and extrapolate that into 'we shoulda won'. so true
  10. I realize we were getting decent pressure on Brees thru much of the game. But I thought we should have tried to do much more thru blitzes. Brees is too talented and too quick for even 'good' pressure given the overall talent of our LBs. The middle stuff plus the screens made us look silly even when Mario etc were getting real close.-...why not take more chances and try to rough Brees up?? What was there to lose?
  11. keep Byrd. so we trade him--create a hole at safety so we can draft a safety that has a 30-40% chance of success in the league after a couple yrs?? dumb.-
  12. not in any order.......starting QB(Thad could be an excellent backup), 2 LBs, O coordinator(enuff sickly child runs up the middle when we need to respond to a score and zero screen game). our corners are fine.our safeties are fine.our WRs our passable they just dont get the ball because of our QBs.
  13. No one could ever again afford the defense that Dallas had in the 90s.
  14. Mario is a high level DE...but this mentioning of his name in the same sentence. With Bruce and Reggie has to stop.
  15. ..... He is fundamentally unsound. Fundamentals are learned early on. It is not about his ability to avoid the speed of an NFL passrush. Many slower, less athletic, weaker QBs had/have the fundamentals of sidestepping, stepping up in the pocket...sensing the rush as well. And the ability to quickly shift and throw off the proper foot is a 'fundamental'.Throwing off the wrong foot--esp those end over end pathetic jobs---is not a good sign. Hopefully his pluses--which I have previously mentioned..and some seriously quick learning---will make this guy a good NFL QB. Lets hope so.
  16. Cohen certainly has the look to play Mercury. And he can do the quasi -campy personality as well. Im sure the height thing can be overcome just like when Tom Cruise played Jack Reacher. Both involve almost a foot difference in height. Cruise did an amazing job. I can understand May and company not wanting this to turn into some weird SBC project,however.--It could be damaging to Mercury's memory. There is a big generation of young people who never saw him live or werent even around to understand the guys magic. The LIVE AID concert was one of the best rock performances we have seen.
  17. he can make ALL the throws?? he hasnt shown that at all. When under pressure he cant sidestep and throw properly.he throws off the wrong foot --and some of those passes...uglyyyyy and pathetic as well. he better learn how to sidestep the rush .and learn it very quickly. thats something he shoulda learned in grade school.Granted he has pluses--like not being panicky, having a reasonably strong arm,and a certain cool out there...and of course he is very big and strong.
  18. RJ was surrounded by huge talent at USC.If u saw him play college ball you know he was not a good qb and that Matt cassell coulda had just as good numbers. he was a dumb QB back then--which was why he lasted to the midrounds.Of course he had an excellent arm...but had no more QB judgment in college than he did in the pros. In true Buffalo fashion---Buffalo jumps on him and offers him 25 mil after 1 game. --So maybe disaster was a strong word. But those with eyes to see could tell that he didnt have it.
  19. i think dan manucci and gary marangi were the same guy
  20. anyone who saw RJ in college knew about him--what a disaster he was. Of course Buffalo didnt(doesnt?) actually work that way. The Bills didt bother that much with that boring film stuff--because he had a good game in TB(?).
