1. There is only one way to end this...tell him sign the fkn contract and show up to camp by tomorrow 8 AM, or he will sit out the entire year. If he doesn't show, show him you mean it by suspending all negotiations until next year. No empty threats.  We'll get by without him. I rather not have him at all than signing him in Mid-or-late August and giving in to these greedy bas-tards. Some team has got to stop the madness. It might as well be us. The media hates us anyway.

I would love to see that but I think it could prove damaging if we ever wanted future FAs to come here.

  2. I believe that when this season is over, you will look back and see huge strides in most every position on the field. The key word with this team is potential which Mularkey would not know what to do with if it was standing right in front of him - ohh wait, it was.

McGahee was not even used on third down for Christ sake. Talk about clueless as a coach.

Receivers on this team are freakin' speed demons who (with the right QB) could create some major problems. Our offensive line is going to take a year to gel but when the time comes, it will be just fine.

    Special teams - enough said

Tight ends have not been used in ten years and now we have one that blocks and one that could prove to be a nice chain mover.

Defensively, Spikes is hopefully back with Crowell and Fletcher - not bad if you ask me.

Our defensive line is a big? but could it be any worse from last year - doubt it.

With a Coach in here that has brains and who players trust, there is no reason that after a year together, these guys can't make it work.

That my friend is why I believe this team needs a leader for WHEN it all comes together. (not to mention the recent draft which many say we stole some pretty good up and coming talent in later rounds)

  3. Plamer sat one year, started the next and played well his first year starting and played very well last year, his third year in the league and his second as the starter.  No one is suggesting that JP had to make it to the pro bowl his first or second years or even this year.  I do think however that he has to have a good year this year and show marked improvement as compared to last year.  By asking that, we are asking no more from him than was asked of Palmer.

Really, if JP finishes this year with the same level of performance as he did last year, I guarantee that we will all be advocating that Marv consider another option or at least have a "plan B".

I agree - substantial improvement must be seen on JP this year to validate him as a work in progress. Playoffs are a pipedream, but asking JP to prove that he deserves more time is not......

  4. And yes, I think the youth movement and talented acquisitions that have taken place over the past few months has this team moving in the right direction. I believe that there is a lot of excitement building around this team for the next few years and until we find that QB that has eluded the Bills for so many years, it will never transpire into something special.

I really want to believe that we have one of these gems in camp but something just tells me Bills fans will still be waiting for THAT guy. Any other choice but Losman to start this season will truly tell me that there is a bunch of garbage behind center. That being said, cummon JP it is NOW OR NEVER!!!!!!

  5. So as a fan, you are willing to give him a full season, even if it results in 4-12? Nothing wrong with this mind you. I do however wonder if the coaches, teammates, and other fans will be as patient, although certainly many factors are involved.

I would be willing to give Losman the full year just to finally move on to the future (whoever that QB might be). I guess if Losman cannot beat out an average 10 year backup, than we are in a lot more trouble than expected. JP weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere waaaaaaaaaaaaaaiting...........

  6. than the experts out there. There is not one piece of information about this team that slips by this board. That is why I have never taken any offense to all the so called experts out there saying how horrible we are.

When they were all saying how Marv Levy was such an off the wall comfort pick as GM, the people in Buffalo knew the kind of guy that was coming back to town. We all see what this team is like on a daily basis (more or less). I think there is a sense of something good building here that a lot of folks outside of the city could NEVER put a finger on.

    Kepp moving forward boys!

  7. Both of your scenarios are a reach.

    732234

Both scenarios very well could be a reach but I had to come up with these numbers to see where people stood on the subject. (Coasting with Holcomb and being middle of the road or letting it fly with Losman even if it means going down in flames.)

I would rather go down in flames and rid the team of this 2-3 headed experiment. Hopefully Losman comes out to shine....

  8. I would rather put a glowing hot poker in my eye than go 8-8 with Holcomb.  Holcomb is a mediocre known commodity while JP is a talent of unknown limits.  I'd rather go down swinging than hitting a slow roller to first.

    732224

THat is pretty much how I feel about the situation. Let's just hope that Losman can step it up enough in camp.

  9. What do you think makes the most sense? I believe that Nall is not going to win this job so I pose this question for the other two. I would rather find out once and for all what this team has in Losman. Going 8-8 means absolutely nothing to me if that includes not making the playoffs.

What are your thoughts? This 4-12 stat does not suggest that Losman equals bad record because I think Losman has a chance to reach a respectable record. I just want to see who else (if anybody) believes that Holcomb just postpones any REAL success for the future of this team.

  10. And so the question needs to be asked.....

IF the cohesion of this team was SO BAD last year.....and we were early favorites to be a wildcard last year due to talent......

    Well?

It only stands to reason that there is enough talent to make the wildcard THIS YEAR if those problems can be fixed.......

Patriots....a little less dominant each year now that coaching staff has been dismantled and losing players......

Fins.....look an awful lot like the bills who had a winning record and then fell apart the following year......

    Jets....suck

    hmmmmmmm

This is an extremely good point!!!!
