  1. Now with two rookie safeties and Spikes missing some more time, I am really starting to get worried about the Defense. WE NEED SPIKES NOW!!!!!!
  2. Now THAT is funny!!!!!
  3. Well it looks like Spikes is going to be out for 3-4 weeks since he just said on the radio that his injury was just like Troy's so he should be on IR as well.
  4. Every great line has at least ONE total stud who can open up the much needed hole when situations like 4th and one arise. This has been lacking for quite some time in Buffalo. I would say our line is definitely on the bottom half of the league but getting better. Are there going to be any Steve Hutchinson type players that will become available at the end of the year? Did you see what that guy did at the goal-line last weekend!!!! I think it is time to grab that one stud and really take the line to the next level. The supporting cast is here now let's help it out.
  5. I think after week one, many people will realize that the Bills are most definitely headed in the right direction. Oh my goodness, did you see how horrible that Raiders team is?! Buffalo has a lot to be thankful for and it is only going to get better as this team gains some experience. The one huge relief is that we faced one of the best teams right off the bat and we hung tough. For all anyone knew, we could have been sitting here today wondering what Levy was thinking with the draft, who our QB is going to be and how far this team has to go to just become mediocre. Good things are on the way and there are plenty of teams that the Bills will be looking down on when it is all said and done. I, for one, let go a big sigh of relief after Sunday's game. Now, we just have to eliminate the penalties - the talent is there!!!!
  6. The Bills could not ask for a better opportunity to redeem themselves than against Miami on Sunday. If they could just eliminate some of those same stupid, meaningless penalties, a lot of these close hard fought games will start to turn to our favor.... A win in Miami would also create a rabid (or should I say even more rabid) atmosphere at the Ralph for the home opener!
  7. Yes, the Bills are on the right track, yes, the young guys played well and things are headed in the right direction but I did find one thing interesting after that 4th and one play. Anyone who watched the Sabres last season (including myself) will understand what I am talking about here. Do you remember when the Sabres fell behind one or two goals during the game and you just knew that they would come from behind and win it one of a hundred different ways? Well, this is exactly how Patriots fans have been feeling for the past 5 years. On the flip side of the coin, was there one Bills fan on the planet that did not know the game was over after they failed on 4th and one. Be honest, YOU KNEW it was over! This losing mentality has been instilled in this team and it's fans for the past 3-4 years and it is time to get past it. I do not believe this team has the loser mentality of last year's, but I can't wait until I (as a fan) extinguish the doomsday attitude. The Bills have GOT to start finishing off some of these games and I am looking forward to that day with great anticipation. Again, this is more stating the mentality of the fans more than the mentality of the team. Patriots had a fourth and 2 to win the game, you knew they would run the ball and they did - successfully.....
  8. I have been so busy hating on the Patriots for the past few years, I forgot how much Miami and their fans get under my skin. I guess it took the signing of Cullpepper and the hiring of the second coming coach to stir the feelings up again. Ahhhh, good to have things back to normal and routing against the Fins as hard as I route for the Bills!!!! Thank you Steelers for starting the season off on a high note. Speaking of the Steelers, that is one class organization from top to bottom. For a team that I used to despise, I don't mind seeing their fans win as they put their heart and soul into it (as well as the team) each and every week. Time to give the Bills fans what they deserve - a victory against the Pats and a charge to the top of the division!!!!!!
  9. The Patriots have fallen and can no longer handle the exodus of players over the years OR the Bills are a lot better than people expected. I would be willing to bet the house that it is the former. Either way, I would not give a crap as long as they pulled it off - here's to the upset!!
  10. I think you are asking for a little too much for that. EeeeeGad, I forgot about that feeling of 3 and 25 and knowing the opposition would get the first down......
  11. Every single time the Bills had a 3rd down last year where they needed more than 5 yards, I would just wait for moorman to get on the field. It will be extremely refreshing to know that this year, it will be OK to have optimism on 3rd down. I would have much rather paper cut my eyeballs than see Shaud " How Did I make This Team" Williams enter the field. I look for some nice McGahee involvement and deep ball strikes to extend many drives this year.
  12. Probably a dumb question since Bruschi has powers similar to that of a lizards tail growing back BUT is he playing with the broken wrist??
  13. I truly believe that this game falls on our secondary and getting pressure on Brady for once. The Bills offense is going to put up a minimum of 20 points - guaranteed
  14. There has to be a time when you say enough is enough!! The Patriots still getting favored by at least 8 points! I know the Bills have not proved anything yet but people around these parts have to think that the Bills can pull this off. Isn't time to put this whole Patriots cloak of invincibility behind us? The Bills are due and it looks like everything they could wish for is in place for week one. Huge underdogs, away, Patriots opener, more Patriots injuries...I am no longer looking at this game with guarded optimism, I am looking for a freakin' victory and nothing less. It's time to knock this monkey (i mean gorilla) off the Bills backs and never look behind. I guess I am just shocked as to how the Pats keep pulling things out of thin air. Can Brady and Coach B really carry the load again???? I think not!
  15. All I can say is that it is good to have the Buffalo Bills back in the center of my heart again. I was really worried after seeing that passion-less organization last year. Whether they win or lose the majority of their games this year, they are going to keep things close and have that quick strike offense that has been missing for so long. Did anyone else get excited when Royal caught that pass and started running with it!!?? Finally, A TIGHT END WITH HANDS THAT CAN MOVE THE CHAINS!!!! Bring on the season kids, there are some good times ahead.
  16. The thing that I love is that the Bills keep improving and they continue to stay under the radar (i mean WAY UNDER the radar)
  17. I know you did not just ask that question.......
  18. Don't worry, I knocked on wood three times after writing this. In all seriousness though, I thought training camp and pre-season were very successful as the coaches and GM picked out the talent on this team. It looks as though they are heading in the right direction and here is to hoping Nall locks up the #2 spot tonight.
  19. just confirming exactly why we need to get rid of the stupid penalties after seeing Browns game again....
  20. You are a very lucky person Texas won the National Championship in 2006 Sabres will win the Stanley Cup in 2007 And the Bills will win the Super Bowl in 2008 Does it get any better than that??????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. I just love the fact that the Sabres are back to the top of the heap as far as excitement goes. It was impossibhle not to fall in love with that team last year. I think the reason some die hard Bills fans are going with Sabres is because Mularkey and crew along with several half a$$ players left fans with a feeling of disgust (I know I was one of them). That Bills team was the first team to EVER make me feel disgusted with the whole organization. Thank goodness respectability has been restored. Even iff the Bills go 0-16 I will still love them. The same could not have been said last year about that sad group. Then the Sabres came along and made everyone forget about the state of the Bills. Both teams are back and I am fired up for both of them. Someone (I don't care who) needs to bring this great city a championship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. so nobody seems to be too concerned about the stupid penalties this team continues to make? It has been a trend for the past 4-5 years........
  23. After watching that Cleveland game, I really did like what I saw on Saturday night. This offense is starting to look like it will have quite a few "big time" plays this year. Our running game is back and JP looks like he is only getting better each week. Obviously this is all fine and dandy but how far can this take the Bills if they keep making stupid mistakes. The coaching staff has really got to lay the hammer down on these inexplicable bone head penalties. They will end up costing this team some wins and ultimately be the demise of this team. I saw SO MANY good things happen on Saturday but the illegal formations and 12 men on the field penalties (those were the two that took points off the board) were horrible. How about giving them a second chance on the field goal!@# Anyway, I do like the make-up of this team and think if they can clamp down on some of the penalties, it is going to be an exciting year.
  24. That is EXACTLY what Ps me off so badly!! These guys need to do their job and let the coaches do theirs. Right on Ganesh!!
  25. There is no link but this is the second time that Peter King has mentioned it on the radio in as much as a week. That guy irritates me more and more each week. (not to mention he is usually way off base). I just wanted to see if anyone else heard that this is the case.
