WTF is up with that? Anybody else having this issue?
it does that during commercials

Sometimes this doesnt work due to gross misjudgement on somebodys part. Luckily marvs track record to this point is pretty good. Sometimes a team will load up on "system" guys only to fire the coach 24 months later. Thankfully this does not appear to be the case in Buffalo right now. Even if we falter next year theres no way DJ gets axed, unless we are like 1-15. Marv doesnt believe in spur-of-the-moment coach firings as seen in his book. Currently I would describe my feelings about the Bills offseason as optimistic but slightly nervous.
Exactly how I feel as well. Nervous is not always bad. I think the season will only get better as it goes along....
-
What I mean by this is that the new regime has really put the whole "type" of player ahead of the majority favorite. There could be another linebacker or personality type that appease to Marv and Co. other than Patrick Willis. Do I think they would pass on Patrick Willis if he was there at 12? I doubt it but my point is that I would not be suprised if they picked a different LB that really fits THEIR system to a tee. (maybe that is Willis)
It has become very clear that the master plan is under way and they have the remaining pieces already in mind. I have accepted the fact (and like it) that whoever they let go, pick up, draft etc.., there is a darn good reason for it. One of my main problems with this team over the past few years is that there has been ZERO identity. Well, this is fast becoming a youthful, team oriented group of guys out there. You don't want to be on this team, GET OUT! Time for new leadership to step up and move forward!!

I lived there for 8 years and never found a Bills bar...where is Lincoln Station?
Right across from the Biograph movie theatre on Lincoln. Not only a great place to watch Bills games - The Sabres Cup run was out of control!!!!!! I think I still have a tab there.
-
I lived in Chicago for 10 years and my good friend Joe opened up Lincoln Sation. I told him if he makes it a Buffalo bar, I would guarantee 50 people the first weekend. It has been a Buffalo bar ever since!! Tell him the Baumer sent you for a free beer!!!!

So far, the most urgent needs are
Running Back
Middle Linebacker
DBack
Defensive Tackle
I think the way you have to look at it is that RB seems to be the one position that can definitely be filled in the 2nd round. That means that you have to take Dback, DT or MLB in 1st. If Patrick Willis or Okoye is there, enough said. If they are not, you take one of the two DBs that are rated highest. The one big decision is wether or not they spend a 1st on Okoye. If he is there, it is definitely a possibility. If not, the answers are above.
In the end, I believe it comes down to Okoye, Willis or DB depending on who is available. No trade ups or down.

i just got off the phone with my client who bought 30 tickets from me at $3,500 a pop - he left at halftime!!!

Simple answer to the thread title question:
BECAUSE WE WANT THEM TO.
I suppose that sums it up. I know I will be hoping the same thing. I can just see it now though. Patriots get thumped by somebody 35-3 opening day and then battle to get to 5-4 and then run the table. Why does it seem like freakin' 'Groundhog Day' every year
-
Do I hype the Patriots all year long? No, but seriously, they were a third and three completion away from sitting on the ball, kicking the field goal and going to the Bowl to most likely beat the Bears. I just don't understand where all these Jets Bills threads taking over the East come from
Let's wait until the Bills can actually beat New England for once before giving them the division.
-
and with 2100 people on the waiting list for Sabres Season tickets, they aren't going to get far in line at HSBC
Its been said here many times before, people have a hotpocket mentality these days. They want results now, and will not wait. (and don't start with the 7 years since a playoff game BS, cause the current regime had no control over that) They are going into year 2 of a rebuilding process with a new coach and gm
The current regime IS Ralph Wilson. How can you say that the current regime has nothing to do with it. Who do you think hired GMs who in turn hired crap coach after crap coach?

My apologies for the "STFU". It was meant for fans in the general sense, not you personally. By the way, at $46, the Bills average ticket price is still $20 less than the NFL average! We have it good.
PTR
Accepted. And I do agree with you - I will continue to pay whatever it takes for season tickets year after year - the problem is that many others (who are on the fringe) will want to see upgrades before spending even MORE $$
-
The fans have a responsibility to show up. Otherwise STFU.
PTR
Wow, so insightful - do you always have this kind of etiquette when dealing with opinions? Get a grip punk....
-
A 7-9 record made them the 12th worst, so out of 32 teams, I'd hardly refer to them as having one of the worst products
I beg to differ when you are one of only three teams to have missed the playoffs over the last 7 years.....
-
Have you heard of places like Detroit, Arizona, Oakland?
Those fans would love to have an organisation like the Bills or atleast the Bills success (even though there hasn't been much)
The tickets were raised because, like every year, the NFL continues to grow and the prices go up. The Bills have the cheapest tickets in the league, so to now say that because he raised prices $5 a ticket, he muct put a better product on the field is stupid. I think that is the idea every year. Spend what you can afford to put the best product on the field to win games and keep the fans coming back.
Its not like Ralph sits in his office counting stacks of Hundreds all day while the coaching staff and front office huddle around burning garbage cans begging for change to put a team on the field
Have you ever heard of reading what I wrote - I said ONE of the worst products in the league not the worst
-
He won't make a splash. If you add it up a $5 average ticket price x 72000 tickets x 10 games is less than $5 million in additional revenue, or the rough equivalent of Larry Tripplett's signing bonus.
I am not expecting him to rely on the ticket price to pay for players, I am expecting him to make sure the product is upgraded. He still makes close to 20 mill each year in profits and it does not make sense to raise the price if the product is not improved. What does that say to the fans - here, pay more and get the same old non playoff crap year after year.
Give up the name of the stadium and call it even after some corporation pays millions for naming rights.
-
in free agency. It is going to get very ugly if he does not open the wallet up after raising the price per ticket following ANOTHER non playoff year. I hope he knows what he is doing!! Although it is still the cheapest ticket in the league, it is still one of the worst products.
If he wants fans to open up the wallet, he had better be ready to do the same.
-
Does not matter - He is picking baseball over football!!!
-
Wow, he really DOES want to be here!!!
-
6'4 215 - tight end (been jailed 7 times so trade me to Cincy) - kidding
-
When Tanya Harding becomes a DIE HARD Bills fan and plots her next scheme on Tom Brady's left knee!! I can hear Marsha now "Why Meeeeeeeee"!!!
-
Isn't this supposed to be a time where people are enjoying this team right now? Am I one of only a few that truly think this team is going to pull off a playoff spot. I see three of four things happening this weekend which are in favor of the Bills and all I can hear on the radio is how nobody cares!!
Arrrrrrrrgh!!!! There is a playoff spot on the line and I JUST DON"T GET IT!!!!!!! Was I disconnected to this team for a few weeks this season? yes, but I still went to the games and was hoping (really hoping) that these guys would pull together as a team.
You know what - they did and I just don't get all the negativity.
-
I heard the Sabres were leaving town after this season and the remaining games are to be blacked out so the fans don't have to see how horrible they really are
Bills - Sabres - IT'S ALL BUFFALO
