They'll bench you, bring in competition, and straight up drop your ass if you suck.
You got to motivate your players these guys seem great at that.
Yes. They tried with with Dareus, didn't work, buh-bye. They set the tone early.

Well, we still save money cutting Star, even if it's just $2M, it's still money in our pocket. If we cut Hughes, we'd end up spending more to cut him than to keep him and pay him.
That all said, after the last couple weeks (especially yesterday), and if they keep playing like they have been, both will be around next year and rightfully so.
There's no "saving" because they'd have to pay his dead cap space AND hire a replacement.
I think bringing in Liuget and Taylor woke up Star. Same thing that may have happened to Oliver. One thing this new group isn't shy about is benching guys who aren't performing.

Great take.

from 20-29 chase is 4-4
30-39 3-3
40-49 Chase is 5-9. Yes 5-9
50-59 1-1 Too small of a sample to say he's consistent from long range.
From 20-39 Hauschka is 3-3
30-39 4-5
40-49 7-8
50-59 1-5 Yes 1-5
My point here is Chase isn't any better that Hauschka. In fact where it really counts(40-49), he's been inconsistent. Hauschka doesn't have the leg Chase does, but he's a lot better in the 40-49 situations. Chase isn't any better than Hauschka, so I doubt the staff will let emotions get the better of them. If they can find a better kicker, fine, but Chase isn't it. It was really amusing how this board wanted Chase after kicking a FG in the Seahawks game only to lose that game with a shank. Did Hauschka miss in the Browns game? Sure, but Chase lost a game the same week and isn't any better. I'll take the consistency in the 40-49 range over Chase's shaky showing. IMO Chase isn't any better than what we already have.
Yes all this. This has been a rough year for a lot of kickers. There is not a lot of talent on the 32 teams, let alone kicking at the local high school field staying warm.
Hauschka is our guy for this year.

No. He's referring to my dislike of the Oliver pick. Which I've already repented for.
But you're in this Allen thread calling early judgers "mentally and emotionally weak?"
Be careful of the blowing wind!

Lol owning Joe unintentionally.
Did he beat the dead horse of "Josh as bust" nonstop on the board for months?
Funny he'd be here in this thread judging people so harshly. The beam in his own eye.

This has been a terrible season for kickers. If you've been watching, Hauschka is not the worst option and I feel certain that there's no one bagging groceries who will be better.
Next season bring in some competition and see if he gets back his focus. I believe in the guy but I also see him struggling. I would not be surprised if he gets his mojo back for next year.

Exactomundo. People who judge "busts" based on early performances say more about themselves than anyone else.

Jerkoffs gonna jerkoff. It's not a Josh Allen issue. It's something those people carry with them.

Hughes has a $9.5M price tag next year if kept on the roster. But if he is cut, he costs us $10.85M in dead money. So no way does he get cut next year.
Same with Star, though he's probably around for 2 years given his contract.

The puppeteering in The Dark Crystal should keep puppets alive.

Better than any of the woke-ified movies they've put out the past couple years, for certain.
I'm also a sucker for Mandalorian lore, so, there's that.
Star Wars movies are woke? Is BB8 a stand in for native American cultural appropriation? Streeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetch.
Sure you don't mean wookie-fied?
New show is light fun. Emphasis so far on light.

I thought Zay would get a little resurgence with the Raiders. Guess not. 18 catches for 157 yards, and that includes his games with Buffalo.

Translation: the receiver ran the wrong route. That was a strange play. It didn't look like a wrong route or a bad read. It just looked like a physical mistake where one got away. It was into the wind and if it gets away by 2 feet, that can turn into 4. That INT didn't bother me so much as it was clearly just something out of the ordinary.
The one Denver dropped was the bad throw of the day...it was going towards the scoreboard side on the Bills sideline. That was Josh's only "bad" throw yesterday.

He also has the worst compliment of skill players I’ve seen in awhile, especially with Edelman banged up all season and likely on the decline himself.
Odd that they got rid of Gordon but-
They had Newhouse starting at LT
The ground game hasn’t been great in supporting him
No Gronkowski, No more Gordon for whatever reason, N’Keal Harry was banged up most of the season, Sanu was injured, Dorsett injured...
Lots of factors into Tom’s “decline”
Yeah this. The 4th most yards in the NFL right now Tom Brady...imagine how awful he'd be if AB wasn't a nutjob.

Developing into the best QB we have had since Jimbo.
Sort of like McDermott being within spitting distance of 3rd best coach in Bills history.
The QB position has been a 23-year nightmare.

4th most yards passing in the NFL. I wish we had a QB as finished as Brady.
(Not a knock on Josh. He's awesome. Just saying, I've seen this Brady is finished thread before.)
As a die hard Wyoming fan why the negativity towards Josh?

No worries. The next game when he throws for 150 and has 2 picks, they will all be back.
