Sure looked like it and like a smart veteran who cares more about winning than stats he quickly pulled it down and covered it bracing for the hit.

Way to be Frank that was a good 2 yd loss.

Agree. I've seen this play run a lot this yer over the league and it seems like almost every guy throws it, and it's usually a horrible decision. Frank did the right thing eating it.

Collinsworth thought it was a pass too. I am on vacation and the TV doesn’t have rewind here.
If it was a pass, that was getting to cute to close to the end zone. They did redeem themselves on the next play.

    I

Next play was a delayed handoff to Motor for a loss of 1. Next play was fg. That 3 play sequence sucked.

Mods: Block him! Clearly Easterner works at PFF.

guy is in every thread complaining about the Bills win. They go to Pittsburgh against a super rowdy crowd. Top defense in the league. Playoff game for both teams. And win.

At least 3 easy drops and  couple others where a good WR play makes the catch.

    I'll take it.

  4. the linemen definitely didn't release. Gore appeared to be holding it ready to throw though that wasn't clear. the strange thing was that the only replay i saw had just Beaseley to his side running his route. If that's the play, why run the shortest and hardest guy to be the wr?

Oh and eff that play call. Josh Allen gets no passes and also can't run the ball from first and goal. WTF?

the spanish commentator thought Gore was definitely passing to Knox on that one. (He was well covered, btw)

Interesting. I thought it was Beas. There was only one replay and it was a bad shot focusing on Gore's hands.

The point is having a receiver who catches passes even when contested would certainly improve the odds of winning, don’t ya think? And being that DW is the only guy on the team that fits that role your statement makes no sense,

Maybe the coaches see him in practice and he's just not what you hope he is. It's not like the Bills are saving him for some reason.

  6. People saying PGH offense is bad overlook that they are getting back their two best skill position players this week. The Bills will not be seeing the same team that has been out there the last few games.

The Steelers have one of the best defenses in football, an improved offense, a great coach, at home, huge game, have won 7 of 8...hard to feel like this is anything but a very hard game.

We tried a few quick passes to the outside and got blown up immediately

WR screens in the NFL don't work well. Most teams are too fast to the ball. RB screens run well slow down the pass rush.

The bomb to Foster that was a 50-50 ball was frustrating to me. Forget the PI, Iif Foster goes for that ball with his hands up instead of trying to catch it in his gut, he will get the call or the ball. The team lacks a guy who can high point challenge for a ball. Frustrating.

  8. Every 50-50 ball Fitz launched seemed to be caught for 35 yards yesterday. Those all could have been 4 INTs on a different day on the way to an Eagles blowout. Credit Parker (mostly) on those but Miami had a bit of a wing-and-a-prayer day.

Also coming into that week vs. the Bills, the Eagles had an inspired gut-check moment. Those sometimes last, and sometimes they are short term. Looks like it was the later for the Eagles.

well written.  I think what bothers us Allenistas is how so many Bills fans gave up on Allen so early.  And continued to call for his replacement even when he showed flashes of brilliance.  Even up to two weeks ago we had people asking for him to be benched.

I remind posters how people used to call WGR and call for Reich to start.

There was no Internet but there were still idiots. The Internet just turned up the volume.
