  1. He's a really nice W R. Couple of bad plays on Sat. He will be fine.
  2. The route was taking Brown out of bounds, not to the end zone. The only way that's a TD is if Brown runs a 3 yard deeper route. That's never a TD.
  3. That was a bad play, but you see Knox drop back and make eye contact with Josh, so it was on their minds...Josh just didn't get it out of his mind as he was spinning and went down.
  4. Brown is a good receiver--those were just two bad plays. I'm not worried about him. Knox and Morse had no-blocks on the Allen run to the right. Williams dropped a TD. Allen fumbled when the tackler breathed on him. To quote McDermott, those plays showed they are not Championship Caliber...yet.
  5. He at least sometimes has another job. What is Morse's excuse?
  6. If all they do is pick up the one guy, they are instantly in FG range with a 1st down. This play stuck with me...with two blockers not only getting beat but actually not even reacting to the tackler.
  7. McKEnzie fell as he started his comeback. That was clearly the route. He would have been in the play (maybe not making the catch given that he's not a great WR), but Roby only had a clear shot because McKenzie had fallen.
  8. A little contact on his leg but that is not usually going to draw PI. Should have been a catch or at least closer to a catch than it was.
  9. 100%. I actually thought the second one was worse. NFL receivers can't run out of bounds before the ball is thrown. Brown is a good player who didn't have his best game. I don't remember a lot of bad throws by Josh but I do remember some bad plays like the lateral, both fumbles, and the first of the two back-to-back sacks...the second he had no prayer--and of course the one near pick 6 was his only really bad throw. He had some smart throwaways. McKenzie fell down when he turned to drive to the ball on the other near INT. The two in the video above were perfect. The TD ball to Williams was hard but should have been caught. Josh was not the reason we lost. He was also not the reason we won but I don't go into next year with a big concern at QB. Get him some more weapons. Fix RT. Get a backup RB. McKenzie slipped out of his turn. Not Josh's fault.
  10. Were you more right about wanting DK or more wrong about declaring Oliver a bust? Drafting a team of what-it's could get any team to the super bowl.
  11. You seem like a bright guy. You should send Beane your resume.
  12. Watson is the better QB now, but Allen is "my" QB and I wouldn't have it any other way.
  13. Our schedule will be the same as every AFCE team except for 2 games. It will be tougher but no tougher than our other division opponents. We are better setup for the next 3 years than any AFCE team.
  14. And he was, for most of the season after the Pats game. Even for most of the game yesterday. He's learned, but he will still have to bite it back. Don't shortchange Daboll though giving up on the run yesterday and forcing Josh to play hero.. Instead of facing 2nd and 5 in the 4th quarter and OT, Daboll put the game on his shoulders (and he nearly delivered).
  15. Right. Watson won his first playoff game yesterday. You don't always start with a win. I look around the NFL at a lot of dreck QBs. Allen may not be a world-beater at the moment but if someone out there thinks there's a free agent or 22nd draft pick QB better than Allen and the future he has, you're high. I hear this a lot. They won this year because they had a team built to win with defense. They have yet to have a team built to win on offense. Next year should see an improved offense...many returning players and 1-2 new faces at important positions like RT and WR1.
  16. One thing that makes it better. They were never beating Baltimore in Baltimore.
  17. You are comparing apples to cranberries. Duke would probably need to beat someone else out. Foster is a big part of ST.
  18. Foster is a starter. He makes 2 or 3 great plays a week on ST. That is why he's on the roster. Duke would need to beat out another player.
  19. Watched The Phantom Menace tonight with the family. It was way way way more fun than I remembered. It gets a bad rap.
  20. Ask a ten year old.Bet they loved it. Just like the 6 year old me loved The originals. Adults need to find their inner kid. The movie was great fun!
  21. Last two plays of the game and people think we don't need Morse at center? Let's hope he's ok.
  22. Guess I wasn't. That season tied things up nicely in Watchmen. Looking forward to Season 2.
  23. I can remember a few bad plays yesterday but no large chunks of yesterday's game or even this season where that is true. Yesterday against the NFL's best defense (can we stop forgetting that), he threw for 200 yards and rushed for about 50 more. The line was terrible. There was no running game. And they were still on the 8 yard line with a chance to tie it...when we went QB sweep, missed pass, and then 2 plays with zero blocking.
