Ravens cutting Tony Jefferson after three seasons

Tyrod Taylor Could Be Chargers New Starting QB
Sundancer replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For sure. He was a good soldier who just wasn't quite good enough at his position. Borderline NFL starter, great backup because he won't lose you games. He just won't win them either. -

I enjoyed Morning Show but didn't expect to. Liked Servant. I will try See. The premise seems dumb and that's kept me away. -
I applaud every school that prohibits them. They encourage groupthink bad behavior and clique-friend groups that are not necessary for quality social interaction. Schools that have banned Greek life suffer no ill effects. Fraternity parties create normalcy around orgies of bad behavior among people with limited brain development to govern themselves. The things that happened at fraternity parties in college had zero analog in parties not in fraternity houses. None, nada, nil. Ban them. Don't look back. The only people making money from them are some central Greek life hub. No objection to the service "fraternities," which are something wholly different.

Dirty John on Netflix is a true story about a man who conned his way into women's lives to his own benefit, and his final scam. It's based on the podcast. It's not my usual fare at all but it sucked me in. Also if you don't know the story, it's better not to google it. I refrained from googling until it was over and I was glad that I did. -
So, Josh Allen threw a fan through a table
Sundancer replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn't comment on you saying anything about Josh, friend. I talked about Josh because it was in the thread. I commented on your first lecture because it typifies the reason "OK Boomer" has caught on. You never responded to anything I said until now. I do love a lecture on a football board. -

Are you auditioning for the OK BOOMER poster boy with this? Looking at the video, (1) Josh is having fun, so can we all just relax? (2) The guy jumped into the table with Josh's hands barely touching him. -
Goodell thinks New Era needs some kind of renovation or a new stadium to drive up ticket prices. I don't really see what New Era is lacking and I've been to some of the new ones. The last thing Buffalo needs is the over-the-top Dallas or Atlanta setup but obviously the NFL likes the optics of those places. As a fan, I have ZERO complaints about New Era. Easy in and out. Food and bathrooms could maybe be a little better but they are not a problem. Box seating is nice. Really not sure what Goodell thinks is lacking from a fan perspective.

I didn't find this at all, and he was very active in the community in his brief stint here. That he didn't think Brady would last was just an incorrect opinion (and it's great that he tells the story now that Brady is the greatest QB ever) and that he didn't want to pass the mantle of the team he lead for a decade in the playoffs is what you'd expect from any franchise QB.
-
A sew stadium isn't going to drive up the amount that WNY will pay for a game. That's the limiting calculus here. I don't see Buffalonians forking over 5-10K per seart for PSLs and increasing the ticket prices by 85%. I don't think Roger gives a crap about the new stadium. He wants the higher ticket revenue.

Bills need a 4th quarter song

We did that chant in the 80s in high school. Not sure you can pin anyplace as owning it. -
CTE doctor turned salesman: the "selling" of CTE

That's just his story and it is interesting. Football still has a big problem and it's real. -

I can't stomach Sandler's silly movies but that's not all he's done. If you're on a 90s kick of twist-y movies, you might try Momento. -
He's just a big dude. That is not a basketball build, which is why he could be a phenom, given his off the chart leaping ability.

Which team is Joe Montana is rooting for?

This is like asking if Thurman roots for the Dolphins when they play the Bills. -
Sammy Watkins: New Teams, Same Bad Attitude

Today marked the second game of the season he caught a touchdown. I don't think anyone is ready to anoint him reborn. -

This is good to see. I'm 4 episodes in. Reminds me in some ways of The Leftovers, which is the best show I've ever seen in the "people dealing with the unexplained" category. Someone above mentioned Bloodline. That was a good show. Dark, but good. -
If he has a good year this year, he'll be a head coach next year. Let him show what he can do with an offense that will largely return next year. He had crap to work with year 1, year 2 was better but everyone was new. This should be a good year for him to show his chops. I expect a top 10 offense. Not necessarily top 5 but at least they should be consistently good.

Me too. then I took an overseas trip and struggled through season one. I vowed to do not more and didn't for a full year. another long trip and Season 2 was a million times better as was season 3. It's solid sci fi. But that first season is nails on chalkboard stuff and some of the bad acting remains. It's enjoyable. Light but fun. The Expanse aliens are well done and different. It's one of the upsides that pulls me through some of the stiff acting. On another note, The Two Popes caught me totally off guard. It was great. -
Really liked what Beane had to say today

Yes, from top to bottom. Continuity is so friggn' important. You will not always get a Belichek-level coach/GM or Brady-talent but when you can keep even decent continuity, you will win a lot. The coaching and personnel carousel of the last 20 years is a total disaster. Total. I agree with all of this except that Harrison Phillips, who everyone tagged as ready to have a breakout season, has not had a breakout anything yet. We want him to be Kyle Williams but I'm not sure he's anything close to that. Phillips isn't under contract so they can't trade him for anything.
