  1. And the key is that anyone we draft for pass rush purposes will not show it this year - the average defensive end gets about 3 - 4 sacks his first year, not the 17.5 some think.
  2. Simon Pegg as Scotty pretty much ensured I'd be there!
  3. Too many people nowadays do the "it's red but I'm going to go anyway" and typically people can stop...not this time. Shame. Prayers to the family.
  4. Douchebaggery abounds in that interview. And his soul patch started it.
  5. No worries Lori - just spreading the word!

  7. Apparently, Tim disagrees and thinks that Marshawn should serve all 3... http://myespn.go.com/blogs/nflnation/0-7-1...suspension.html Thoughts?
  8. Terry is Brian Robiskie's dad.
  9. Bill has a point. 2nd year quarterback as a starter isn't the problem. He can be PART of the problem, but not the entire problem. The pass rush, protection, performance of the skill positions, etc are more pressing than Trent as the end all be all reason for the team's success. For the Sports Network or whatever it is to assume it's just on Trent is folly at best and nonsensical. He's shown that when given time more often than not he'll make a good decision. With a solid cast around him it would allow him to take more risks and make the 40% throw deep more than the 90% check to Marshawn/Fred.
  10. BUFFALO BILLS Roscoe Parrish WR Drayton Florence CB Marcus Stroud DL Terrell Owens WR Pat Thomas LB These are all of DR's current clients on the Bills - and why I think TO eventually showed up and Roscoe will probably not be traded, unless that team is going to pay him more than we extended. Drew is one of the agents the Bills like, so they're going to try to keep his clients as happy as possible.
  11. Solomon Wilcots has said it multiple times on Sirius, after having talked to him at the start of the off-season.
  12. As stated many times before, it's a group decision with Brandon / Ralph with the final call. Jauron doesn't have the power many thinks he "wields" over this roster.
  13. Baltimore selects Darius Heyward-Bey, Wr Maryland
  14. I'm here and able for Balt!
  15. Not trying to jump in, but we actually run more cover 3 and 4 than we do the Tampa 2. Do we employ a primarily one gap based defense? Yes - but that isn't necessarily screaming Tampa 2. Eagles and any Wade 3-4 runs a one gap - the Tampa 2 just refers to the coverage behind the rush.
  16. This is Jauron's draft history of the Bears (we already know Buffalo). Each year, he got at least one lineman and many times multiple. If I could I'd look for the FAs acquired, but Ted Washington after we released him was a big part of his COTY defense. Did he draft DBs? Yes. But other than Andy Reid, very few don't every year. 2002 - Chicago Bears Rd Sel # Player Position School 1 29 Marc Colombo T Boston College 3 72 Roe Williams CB Tuskegee 3 93 Terrence Metcalf G Mississippi 4 104 Alex Brown DE Florida 5 140 Bobby Gray DB Louisiana Tech 5 165 Bryan Knight DE Pittsburgh 6 199 Adrian Peterson RB Georgia Southern 6 203 Jamin Elliott WR Delaware 6 210 Bryan Fletcher TE UCLA 2001 - Chicago Bears Rd Sel # Player Position School 1 8 David Terrell WR Michigan 2 38 Anthony Thomas RB Michigan 3 68 Mike Gandy G Notre Dame 4 103 Karon Riley DE Minnesota 5 138 Bernard Robertson G Tulane 7 208 John Capel -- Florida 2000 - Chicago Bears Rd Sel # Player Position School 1 9 Brian Urlacher MLB New Mexico 2 39 Mike Brown FS Nebraska 3 69 Dez White WR Georgia Tech 3 87 Dustin Lyman TE Wake Forest 4 125 Reggie Austin DB Wake Forest 6 170 Frank Murphy RB Kansas State 6 174 Paul Edinger K Michigan State 7 223 James Cotton DE Ohio State 7 254 Michael Green SAF Northwestern State-Louisiana 1999 - Chicago Bears Rd Sel # Player Position School 1 12 Cade McNown QB UCLA 2 48 Russell Davis DE North Carolina 3 66 Rex Tucker T Texas A&M 3 71 D'Wayne Bates WR Northwestern 3 78 Marty Booker WR Louisiana-Monroe 4 106 Warrick Holdman LB Texas A&M 4 111 Rosevelt Colvin LB Purdue 5 143 Jerry Wisne G Notre Dame 5 144 Khari Samuel LB Massachusetts 5 147 Jerry Azumah DB New Hampshire 6 184 Rashard Cook DB USC 7 221 Sulecio Sanford WR Middle Tennessee State 7 253 Jim Finn RB Pennsylvania
  17. And Demeco Ryans...funny how these guys were super close to signing and then all of the sudden they're with him... He's also Greg Jennings' (Packers) agent - and wants more money for him...
  18. Or compare him to Orlando Pace and Walter Jones (who he wants to be paid more/as much as) - who would hold out, show up right before week one and still dominate without a snafu to be seen.
  19. Good stuff as always Tipster! I think Roscoe will stay - the yardage he acquires in the return game (even without touchdowns) gives field position few others can, regardless of his WR role.
  20. It's 14th in overall defense, not rush.
  21. I hear you - but he's to date one of the few media friendly members of the team and to me I'd rather them try to be loose than tight and screw up. And as for Parcells, for all his ways, he's one Norwood-made kick from being just another coach with a ring. Don't get me wrong, he's a great coach, but he's the opposite of a guy like Sporano - all business, no family. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/10/29/sports/p...y_parcells.html This is an article from back when he was Cowboys HC. It's sad that as old as he is, as great as many think he is, he has no one but his football people now. That my friend is scary.
  22. It's not what we want Bill, at the end of the day it's what they want - or in Jason's case, what he wants... With regard to Walker, if the coaches have graded him out as fine - I don't know why him making a video has any impact - especially a 5-8 min short, on his preparedness for games. If that was the case, Jabari had the same thing for 2 years and then just last season a full half hour show. Heck, you look at a number of teams and some of their players have shows, just because they want a life outside of football where they can have fun. Personally, I don't care what he does in his off time - and to be frank why should any of us, barring laws broken?
  23. His agent: Drew Rosenhaus. Perhaps his positive relationship with B-LO not only allowed the TO signing, but gave Stroud confidence he didn't have to get a contract right after the trade, because they're good for it?
  24. Didn't see a roll call link in that other subforum - Balt's here (though not picking til tomorrow)
