  1. I think it stems from the fact that Goodell is hired and paid for by the owners. He would not want to bite the hand that feeds him, even if he finds said hand attached to a videocamera...
  2. One thing to keep in mind: Mike Vick couldn't go to Toronto for any of the Bills games - convicted Felon.
  3. I'm sure if given the appropriate media limelight in his heyday, Cookie Gilchrist would have been our TO.
  4. IF he could help via the Wildcat, WR/RB/Slash, sure, bring him in. Everyone deserves a second chance and unless the number 32 is coming off the wall of RWS, we should remember that.
  5. Gaither would be the starter out of that group. Fokou was a draftee this year and I got zilch on Jordan.

  7. I think that is akin to Clinton Portis if that is the case...which to me seems less scary and more weird.
  8. He's already undersized by height, that should be enough. And with the 260, he'd be a heck of a third down rusher with Schobel and co.
  9. Assuming Youboty can put pressure on his PF, he may be a good candidate to do so.
  10. I agree. Because of his relentless nature, who can tell how many "hustle sacks" he may have acquired in those close match-ups? Additionally, re: impact - I think if he can lower the overall snaps of the DE rotation as a whole with his presence, we'll have a fresher Schobel, Kelsay, Denney, SP. Johnson and Maybin - which would in fact allow for more overall pass rush than last year. How much more is the question.
  11. Ah Gotcha. As a young coach myself, some of that stuff does get a little rough. Luckily, I haven't encountered anything that ridiculous yet. I just cannot believe the people mentioned deprived the kids of such an experienced coach!
  12. Just read the article Lori. Is the coach upset that it was written?
  13. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2009/05/19/d...ve-finds-a-job/ DE Hargrove finds a job By Chris Brown - Posted May 19th, 2009
  14. From Tim's Article : http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afceast/0-8-69/...-OTA-recap.html "Langston Walker on moving from right tackle to replace Jason Peters: "I'm a team player. They asked me to do it early and I'm doing it, no arguments. End of story, really. Walker on embracing the new role: I have to. Like you just said, I better. There's no secondary draft, and I don't know how many left tackles are out there in free " Well done Langston, well done!
  15. Don't forget it's Kugler and Ray Brown, so that's 17 years of NFL Lineman nasty being imparted on these kiddos...
  16. We have - see Bledsoe, Drew and the insanity with his arrival (parade, pep rally, sacrificing of virgins...the usual)
  17. Keep in mind 5.94 mil of that is the rookie pool, so really we have 7 to play with minus fred's contract (if not already accounted)
  18. Dean, Yeah this is referring to that - originally the cap from last year to this was raised by 12 million. In addition, because certain conditions on the floor last year not being met, the cap raised another 900+ k. So this isn't an additional 12 - 13 mil, it's what we originally had + 900k - Fred's deal.
  19. (In Ed McMahon Voice) HIYYOOOOOOOOO !!! (/voice)
  20. PTP, No harm received and I agree - I don't know for sure if the cops involved were white. But I do know the area. In fact, to be honest I'm surprised that McIntyre stayed there after getting into the NFL. I have a few relatives who can't afford to get out of the area and have had encounters I never would have thought of involving cops so I just assumed. As you said, it's not yet true; however, for a person to be brought to a possible victim without a lineup and just "is this him" is shady at the least. To me, this case is far worse for Corey than for the others I mentioned in my original post. Assuming he is innocent, a crime, no matter how benign of a sexual nature follows you. If only in a dumb joke on a message board or on the field during a game. If this woman was victimized and not by McIntyre, then the police should say so and be prepared for their work to be called into question and perhaps for Corey to have a suit filed against them.
  21. I just personally feel Donte, Marshawn, Ko, Heck even Bruce had responsibility in what happened to them arrest wise. What could McIntyre have done differently? Move away from his home town area? Bike on a machine? I get the whole "our image is tarnished", but this dude's biking while being black and paying for it. Who will fight for him when this bitty's found to be insane?
  22. IF they play Trent like they did this year (sit on everything underneath and play 2 cover over the receivers) that would leave: TE - Seam, Dig/In/Out RB - Arrow, Slant, Out, Seam As routes, PLUS a qb sneak every now and again (RB too). He will have options, despite what you may think about Schonert or despite Trent...
  23. 2nd and a 5th, maybe a 4th with incentives. With the bulk of his cap and bonus being owed by KC, we could be in a situation cap wise like we were with the Pats when we got Bledsoe.
  24. And don't forget that the Rams front four isn't as good as ours when you analyze them. Back when they were pretty good, heck even when they were adequate Fletcher shined. I have no doubt Pisa would here as well.
  25. And got paid a little more by the Saints, after dilly-dallying with negotiations with the Bills and other teams. Not a slight against him, but he didn't get in the big money pool and the Bills had to move on Florence.
