As much as it's fun to call the coach of our team ball-less and a coward, don't forget he played several years under the very types of coaches some want to replace him, thrived and was a pro-bowler. Just sayin'.

Jason Peters Interview on ESPN.com
LynchMob23 replied to LynchMob23's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well I'm just passing along info here, but for your argument's sake, yes, the divisions are skewed. However, I'm asserting that their division is more schizophrenic - they'll have one top team a year, but the other three will either do poorly or beat each other up for a photo finish. And because of the overall weakness of the NFC, they'll get guys in easier. My key weakness however in this is the 7-9 records the past 3 years which would not have gotten them in even in the NFC West. My point is, there's more to the "we're in the SuperBowl talks" than just the Bills suck and the Eagles are God's gift to football. Take from that what you will. -
Jason Peters Interview on ESPN.com

Well, the fact that anyone in the NFC East has won the division (with 3 of them getting in last year) compared to the last few years of Patriots and maybe the Jets...with the Dolphins jumping in last year. And most of the times the sprints are done out of the fans' sight. Either during conditioning indoors or privately. -
Apparently ends interview distracted by Mort's Bus Two parts stuck out... One would say having such a simplified playbook would lead to learning the blocking schemes easier...oh, wait.... I love the Eagles and Andy Reid is a phenomenal coach. But because the Bills play in a tougher division and couldn't back into the playoffs (remember, the Eagles were "out of it" by Thanksgiving) he's taken the "we're in it for the SuperBowl every year" route...fair enough.. Thoughts?

Now need another rotational guy for preseason

Disagree there John. I think because of pre-season he rightly decided it makes no sense injuring yourself on a meaningless int, as opposed to several times he made the tackle after a Romo pick last year alone (Steelers, Eagles and Carolina I believe are a few off the top of my head...) in regular season.

Agent threatening his WR will re-enter draft in 2010

I think Parker may have wanted him to toe a fine line between staying in "shape" (and by that I mean working out and having the cardio to prep him to be in football shape) and not injuring himself sitting on the couch eating bon bons. I'd like to think Jason pushed himself throughout the process, but I seriously doubt it, other than a few wind sprints and the treadmill.

I did miss that quote - apologies! I think you're right too about Chambers/Walker. I'd rather have the strength of Walker/Wood on the Right with the Levitre/Chambers on the Left. I was actually talking to a friend that our protections against 3-4 or really good 4-3 Defensive Ends may be at times the Tackle (whomever that is) blocking down on the 5 Tech and the LG (Levtire) kicking underneath and handling the first thing that flashes across his face. Some Bills fans may remember that technique as the one that killed our chances against the Pats on SNF with Holcomb - Gandy did his job, but Bennie Anderson wiffed horrifically, allowing the sack/strip/fumble td that killed our hopes that time. With a mobile / nasty interior schemes like that have a better shot of working...

I'm not usually one to jump into these forays, but Peters didn't want to be here. That was obvious by his showing up right before game one of the year. That's why they couldn't go with the no huddle set they wanted to run - if he showed up say two weeks before they had a shot. You win with a great line, but you can win with an okay - good line as well. Offensive line is one of the few group positions in sports where you can have 5 individuals collectively cover for one another (or bring one another down) and I enjoy watching them work. If the Giants can take a Center and make him a Super Bowl winning LT, why can't I trust in the pre-season our swap has a shot? By all means Bill and whomever thinks Jauron and Co need to go get that out - but can we at least see how the lines look against real comp before we go for the pitchforks and rail against picks of days gone by?

Do you have an antivirus suite that is particularly aggressive? That may be the culprit as well...

I've been fairly successful with selling my pair outside of the games I go to. The last few years I've been able to pay for the next year entirely with the proceeds from the year before, even with the toronto game. And I have a few sent via ticketexchange as cash deposits to help with chrismas fundage.

I had the same problem with Firefox - it turns out ad block plus sometimes blocks out sites java wise. If you add the Bills page (and any other page that is giving you issues) you should be fine!

Two-a-days are now over for the Bills?!
LynchMob23 replied to Biscuit's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And do not forget, just because they're done with two-a-days doesn't mean after practice they can party til the cows come home. They're going into the classroom and learning what exactly they're supposed to be fixing the next day and doing so without burning the candle at both ends so to speak. But if you want Jauron gone and think this is the method by which you can expedite the process, by all means rave on. Personally, after 16 games we'll know if he's a goner or not - and if bringing up two-a-days or lack thereof assists your mindset, then God bless. -
DiGiorgio out for season/waived
LynchMob23 replied to Delete This Account's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As much hate as Skooby gets for things...he's right on in this case: DiGiorgio waived; Hardy and Hawthorne to PUP -
Yup, David Carradine told them not to thai em too tight...Whoops. Boosh!

Who is the best QB in next years draft.
LynchMob23 replied to jax bill backer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To be fair, JP would do the same thing talking about teams he faced. I think the difference is there's a belief Trent will pull the trigger on the "smart" play. -
Tyler Dunne sez Nic Harris is da man
LynchMob23 replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While we were putrid in sacks, tackles for loss were far better, which I can see. Especially if a team ran ran and then passed on 3rd. -
In talking to Coach April at an clinic here in Pittsburgh, he said Leodis is a very cerebral runner, which led to him taking a while to get the scheme - he is looking for where the blocking is, what hole to hit and how fast to get there, albeit at a very fast clip. Roscoe is more instinctual, he will attack the punt team and force them even if they're in position to account for his suddenness and speed. To him, they're the perfect pair at return for each type of return - and why I personally thought they wouldn't trade Roscoe this off-season at least.

When you look a the Tampa style (Kiffin/Dungy) defenses, there are a number of times when they will use zone blitzes, particularly up the gut and into the line of sight of the qb. Just remember, a Tampa 2 team is rarely in that defensive call more than 15-25% (down from a 1/3) of a time during a game. We, for instance use a ton of cover 4 and cover 3.
