  1. That's actually exactly who I was thinking about given the way that draft fell. Kudos to you sir!
  2. Quoted for truthery as the kids say. Simon, outstanding sir. KD, well played.
  3. If you take a look at any of the Eagles/Cowboys games you can see the "best" of Jason Peters. I find it funny that it was a chuckle fest when the Bill had to trade Peters and now the Eagles are slashing prices to get McNabb out because they've let it fester this long in public. And Fez, most national radio shows (sirius in particular) praise Schobel as a guy that is a good player in this league. Kelsay I hear a lot about for his contract when they talk Bills, but not Schobel in the least. Maybe in local forums...
  4. Like the draft Astro - question about pick 4 - is there anyone at Rush LB that's available instead of Neal? I don't think the OTs or DTs (unless for Rush LB) should change....
  5. I think Gailey's goal is to have Roscoe try and get some of that luster he lost back as a slot receiver. With him there AND a scat back that is a lot of speed (without even talking about Lee) on the field at one time.
  6. Favre was cut by the Jets, so he doesn't count toward the net gain vs net loss with FAs. Darren Sharper I believe is why they got the 5th rounder.
  7. It's not so much an indictment of Mitchell so much as trying to get depth and competition at every position. Right now by default Maybin will start. By bringing in Porter, much like with Davis he will compete with Maybin, Schobel, Kelsay, Ellis and perhaps Veek for an OLB spot.
  8. That's "Frankenschteen"! - Sorry, saw the movie earlier this week...
  9. There can be some situations where Kawika plays LOLB and blitzes, as he is good at shooting the gaps. However, I don't think he's going to ply his trade there full time.
  10. Right - they lose a year of time available body wise, but contract wise, no payment/contract follow through if no football.
  11. That's the big thing for the players B.harami - if there's a strike, they don't get paid. Same for a lockout. Which is why the League's 4 billion dollar war chest is going to lead to them having to suck it up and get this deal done.
  12. Bannan is a former Bills player that Buf didn't want to re-sign when he left. He also wanted to re-locate as close as possible to Colorado, since he wants to live there permanently after he retires (former Colorado player) and most of his family is now within 2 hrs of him. Jamal Williams is now being paid about the same, if not a little more to play his old team twice a year and not be too far from his old home in SD. Jarvis Green has experience with the system 3-4 wise McDaniels wants in Denver and gets paid more than the Pats presumably offered while not having to play his former team (which he has no animosity toward, like Williams for instance) at most a few times every couple of years. Don't forget they're all at or approaching 30, so they want to build something for a retirement. And that's not even factoring in that some of their wives/spouses wouldn't want to move to Buffalo Shanahan style.
  13. Teams, including the Cardinals amongst others, are already looking at bringing him in. They apparently think that the personnel around him in Cleveland and the coaching wasn't exactly golden.
  14. And Ugoh isn't the starter because he's far more talented than Johnson, with half of the work ethic and a ton of brain farts during games.
  15. He's on Sirius now. Wants to play for a SB Contender.
  16. Last week they had Clausen up there and the week before Bradford. I think it's just there as last year to give fans a few of the popular college players' press conferences.
  17. How much of this contract is guaranteed? If we pay him 3 mil to start this year and cut him for a replacement next year, did that do anything other than fill the gap and allow people to rail on a pro personnel guy in Whaley who has been viewed universally around the league as qualified?
  18. He was the Director of Pro Personnel. So he was their John Guy. They actually offered him a raise to stay, but he came here to try and re-build the Bills.
  19. I don't think it's just the draft with no free agency, but it may be akin to what Bruce Allen of the Redskins mentioned in MMQB today, Referring Article
  20. Depends. If you want him at the real, functional weight that can help the team, he looks fine for week 3 or 4 of a workout. If you want him bloated and pro-wrestler like, his frame won't support it and it would be via PEDs. So I like this one personally and he hopefully will top off around 240-250. Which at 6'4 and with his long arms is a good start.
  21. Seattle Link Roto
  22. Correct - it's not a traditional trade, but teams can say "even though I should receive by rule the #6, I won't challenge the contract if you give me the #14". They'd both have to agree and send it to the league.
  23. When they get him to sign, the Broncos and Seahawks can negotiate on the compensation. Even though they're supposed to take the #6, Denver may want #14 back.
  24. Most people are reporting that he'll be a Bear by this afternoon, so let's relax a little until he shows up in Foxboro.
  25. Trades cannot occur until the first day of the new league year (Friday) which is why, if true this trade has not gone through/been mentioned. Since he's in his final year and Breaston, Doucet and Fitzgerald are all under contract and still dynamic, a 3rd would be a good start for them for trade bids.
