  1. Jerrod Johnson, TAMU seems like a keeper to me. Great strides developing under a WCO coach in college and gave Texas all they could handle this year in their game.
  2. For all of you talking putting down Dungy and I believe for the original poster, the only black head coach that was on tv yesterday talking about players needing to be guided and giving red flag guys a second chance was Herm Edwards. So, before this thread can careen any further into absurdity, at least please try and insult the true author of the quotes and then come back to Dungy? God Bless.
  3. Sullivan and Co Talking about Day 1 for Bills Take a look at this video and I'll bet you that you will never take this guy's opinion with anything other than a snicker again. It's like in the waterboy when the coach imagines his nemesis as a baby....classic.
  4. To be fair Cynical, you also leave out that he was the 1B to James Davis in that game, which gave him even less touches. At the time, Bowden I believe let Spiller only do third down and outside work (unlike Dabo who used him in all facets on offense his senior year). Also, Clemson's defense was a sieve and Alabama ran a ton, which also helped to make that game go by with even Spiller not being able to help (despite the aforementioned KR).
  5. It's on Chris Brown's Blog
  6. Bill, I'm not Darin, but I can tell you what Faulk himself (as well as Barry Sanders) said about Spiller. Not only is a dynamic in his running, unlike say Marshawn (or Willis in previous years) he is patient in the blocking of the run game. It's not the dancing, pit pat like 23 and 21 did, but it's because he understands every member of the line's blocking assignment and is waiting for the guy to get out there before he makes his next move. Also, take a look at this video of him with Gruden, explaining how he fits into the Clemson offense on the play they review: Gruden with Spiller
  7. If Pittsburgh doesn't want him, and Whaley, who just came from Pittsburgh doesn't, why should we?
  8. I think they will be able to blend it though Cincy, because most 3-4 teams use a four man line at some point, either for nickel rush and/or run stuffing. So, we can get the best out of the roster defensively while at the same time moving toward the new system.
  9. Especially if they take a tackle like Brown, who has been in a pro set, using pro protection schemes and has gotten better and stronger every year.
  10. Is there going to be a point at which the horse you're beating can be buried, or will you be slapping its carcass around in 2020 as well?
  11. If you have Verizon or Sprint, you can use their NFL mobile to watch it?
  12. He actually was the starter until he got whatever illness took him out for several weeks that off-season that Flacco was drafted.
  13. Obviously he's here for the bean dip. C'mon Promo!
  14. If we're throwing guesses out there, I'd say 2-4 games from the Steelers OR the league. I would say one from each.
  15. Conduct detrimental to the shield I believe is the reason they can. Link 1
  16. 1. Clausen - Cleveland 2. Tebow - Minnesota 3. Berry - San Francisco 4. Spiller - Seattle 5. Bryant - Jacksonville
  17. Don't forget they also said ad-nauseum that Jake Long was a RT. He's doing pretty well at LT, if you ask me.
  18. Good Rush OLB prospect. Uconn's scheme sets up a lot of good blitzes, so he's experienced with dropping back in the zone...
  19. Tyson AluAlu, Cal...
  20. But a TV isn't going to change that here, if that's the case. Ipods, phones, etc all have video capability and if a guy is screwing around, who's going to call them out now? Poz? Nelson? Jackson? To me the article creates a Straw Man that leads to the fans saying "Hurrah! We are finally working hard!" We don't know what they were doing in there to begin with.
  21. Baltimore Ravens New Facility Raven's new facility. State of the art, with a golf course, video games, spa and gasp at least 8 tvs in their weight room. One of the toughest and hardest hitting teams in the league. In fact, those facilities help bring in FAs as well. But, the TVs are why the Bills haven't been in the playoffs. Got it.
  22. Thank you for ruining my perfectly good notebook with the ginger ale I snorted reading this. Made my day.
  23. Give our quarterback, regardless of who it is a line and a competent offensive toolset and they will flourish. Look at Brees' stats the year before they drafted Rivers. Trent can get better. And one thing I took from Simon's rant earlier was that while there are some that take every shot they can at his manhood, some appreciate what he's done given the team's overall issues. Count me as one of them.
  24. I'd go with Skelton over Snead, just because he's never had to work harder than what he thought was his best @ Fordham. He was always the best guy and pushed himself, but in the NFL he can be pushed. Snead on the other hand has had quality coaching and yet he makes mind-numbing mistakes over and over again.
