  1. I would be surprised if GMTM moves McCabe. He looked really good in the World's and is developing nicely. Pysyk seems to be the one they are not as high on, though I think he is a sound and underrated player.
  2. Dexys midnight runners "Come On, Eileen."
  3. Calling a brief portion of OTA practice news is somewhat inflationary of the concept. And how many first round qbs end up as adequate backups or worse? Apparently there's no statute of limitations on being "reminded that our first round selection was a bust" for some folks. Let's also be reminded we traded back, got Kiko, which ultimately became McCoy. Or perhaps people should get past it and stop the repetitious whining.
  4. It's mean and childish which is a fair amount of posters on the internet and one presidential candidate.
  5. Well, don't you think he is thinking of the Penguins getting Mario Lemieux and then getting Sydney Crosby and then getting Malkin and subsequently winning multiple Cups and how it would have been nice for the Sabres to reap the benefit of being the worst team the year a McDavid becomes available? The logic is implicit, but it's not hard to surmise.
  6. That's fine, too. I am in the skeptical, but hopeful camp. If it doesn't turn around this year, I expect the Ryans to be gone. The kind of relentless negativity I object to is broader than being dubious about Ryan.
  7. I agree with you. I post on four sites devoted to the Bills and read a few others. Sadly, this site is actually generally more positive than the others, imo. Personally, if I was convinced in the way many of the negative posters appear to be, I'd find something else to do with my time.
  8. Guffalo, A beloved animal is one of life's purest blessings. The pain of loss is very difficult, but it is the price we must pay in order to love deeply. I always think that is part of the meaning of the beatitude, "blessed are those who mourn." The callous are not hurt, but neither do they love. You and Tyler are richer for having known one another. I personally believe you will see her again.
  9. It was my impression that he is a self-proclaimed "insider," so presumably he doesn't need transparency. Must just be looking out for the rest of us
  10. Really? Go watch The Four Falls of Buffalo. Watch Scott Norwood and how Bruce DeHaven and Vic Carucci talk about him. Watch how true Buffalo responded when the team came back from Super Bowl 25. Listen to how Norwood talks today and the pain he still feels. Only an absolute classless jerk would hate on Scott Norwood, as classy and decent a fella as there is out there.
  11. Don't forget about this guy . . . http://buildingtheherd.com/film-room/glenn-gronkowski-scouting-report/
  12. Seen this argument numerous times. Seems to me the nature of the injuries and prognosis for future health is significantly different. Supposedly Lawson will be 100% going forward. One can't say that for Jack and Smith. Hence, Lawson did not fall as far. Ahh, I'm repeating Big Cat. Nice girl at work started talking to me and by the time she had stopped, what I had to say was redundant. Still, why can't you see the point? It seems obvious.
  13. Any thought of bringing Jarius Wynn back?
  14. Your begging the question is ironic. You are just as dismissive of opposing views as those you criticize. And no one is more or less correct about an upcoming season that hasn't happened. Nor are past seasons with different players, owner, and general manager indicative of the future, though apparently blanket pessimism is "realist."
  15. Okay, perhaps I'm just not following the concept. Somehow having #49 and two fourth round picks equals the impact of the #13 pick in the draft? The logic of that escapes me.
  16. I don't really care about anyone's idiosyncratic approximate value chart. If you trade #49, #117, and a 2017 fourth (usually counted as equivalent to a 2016 5th round pick,) there's no way that is getting you the #13 pick.
  17. I think he is indirectly talking about Vasquez.
  18. Nice article by Vic all the way around. Rooting for Striker and Jones.
  19. Or one of the young guys makes a leap forward. I was thinking about trying to get Anthony Davis, but apparently he made negative comments about Roman and there are residual fears that he's just a headcase, so it doesn't look like that is a possibility.
  20. Well, my eyes are old, but it looks like someone has done a crude photoshop to make it appear that Bellicheat is watching Lawson and Ragland.
  21. Does look like a solid scheme fit. Simpler reads will help a lot, too.
  22. Pretty sure it was Jarran Reed.
  23. Assuming GMTM doesn't package the #8 as part of a deal to acquire an established D like Fowler, there are three LHD likely to go in the top ten of the draft. The problem is Chychrun and Juolevi may go before the Sabres' pick. I like Sergachev, but Murray seems to dislike drafting Russians. I was just pondering where we might go if it's not D at #8.
  24. I know we need wingers, not centers. Any thought of taking Logan Brown and making him a power forward type? If Chychrun is gone, I'd think about it.
