Hell, that's how I watch golf. I put in on because golf courses are pretty and I don't really care who wins.

Well, I may be provincial, but I have to agree that sort of thing keeps me from being anything more than a casual fan. I watch World Cup and pick a team for laughs. I'm for Croatia this time. Argentina seemed a bunch of bad sports.

Doug Whaley Has Landed a New Job
Dr. Who replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whaley was a hard-working fella who was saddled with coaches he probably would not have chosen and new owners finding their way. On balance, he was a mediocre GM, but I don't think he was the disaster some appear to believe. Regardless, I have sympathy for the difficulty that must be involved in having to speak publicly when one is less than comfortable doing so. Folks ought to just wish him the best in what is not a particularly prestigious position. Those who take the opportunity to get in one last snide dig are pretty shabby, imo. -
Beane interview w/ Fairburn (QB, Shaq, etc.)

Ahh, he was pretty articulate for a zombie. -
If you say it backwards three times will he disappear?

Offensive Line - Any Chance it Holds Up?
Dr. Who replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My main concerns are actually the tackle positions. Dawkins played well, but how will he do next to a guard who will probably be inferior to Incognito? I don't really have confidence in any of our RT candidates. -

I didn't really study up on Teller. What I read encouraged me to think he might be a good guard, but I don't recall anything suggesting he could play RT. (It might very well fit with his skill set, I just don't recall reading about it.) Any indication he was lining up at tackle during OTAs or mini-camp? Personally, I'd be happy if Teller secured one of the Guard positions (I almost wrote G spots and decided against it ?). -
He's doing so well that Rosenites and other dissenters (Hi Scorp) are keeping a low profile. When even Mike Rodak is writing glowing reports, it can't be bad.

Given draft position and expectations, I would guess that Ryan Leaf or Jamarcus Russell would probably rank as a bigger bust than Hackenberg, who certainly cannot play.

I did not. I just picked up the conversation mid-stream. Sorry if I misunderstood.

Kdiggz, if you still lurk here, don't do it!

I am pretty sure the fella that moved to NFL Network (the Sports Science guy) -- along with Trent Dilfer -- indicated that Allen had a quick release on par with Brady. Now I don't know about throwing motion and how that is factored in or not.

I was born a few years later. I like the music from the eighties because it is the music of my youth. I liked Men at Work, Eurythmics, Spandau Ballet, the Fixx, the Police, among others. Topic is eighties music you liked, not whether the sixties had better music. It probably does, but I don't have the same affection for it for the most part.

I really think pass protection is a consideration here. Veteran rbs usually have blitz pickups and the like figured out. With the question marks on the oline, it would make sense to prioritize rbs that can help keep the qb upright.

Josh Allen, Harrison Phillips crash Buffalo wedding

Apparently they don't have bowling alleys in Firebaugh or Wyoming. He'll have to improve his game. 53 will never fly in Buffalo. -

Nice story. Hope those two fellas are a big part of the new wave of Bills' greatness. -
I always liked her. When I saw your thread title, I knew exactly who she was. Hate the groan-inducing double-entendres, but there's still a sense of style in the first Connery films that was never really recaptured in later installments of the series, imo.
