  1. Please stop. I'm trying to resign myself to disappointment. OTOH, please be true
  2. Switch Mayfield and Rosen and that is my order. Hope we trade up to 2 for Darnold or Allen. Too bad majority of this board is convinced Allen is already a bust.
  3. Darnold and Allen are my first two choices. I would like to trade up to 2 in order to secure whoever the Browns pass on. Unfortunately, unlikely to happen.
  4. Maybe Mason would be a top 3 qb in an ordinary draft. Typically, there are only 1 or 2 worthy of consideration in the 1st. I think Andy Dalton is his ceiling, so not a fan. It's possible one or two of the big 4 drop, but I prefer not to take that chance. A move to 6 or 7 is probably the sweet spot, as you suggest.
  5. Unlikely they are four failed qbs. If you are waiting for a can't miss, perfect qb, you are going to wait a long, long time. And even then, unless you are picking 1 overall, you will wait forever. Historically, top of the draft has a 50% hit rate for qb. It's considerably lower later on. This is potentially a very strong qb draft. Bills set themselves up to take a shot and it's time to do so. Radical pessimism about the position is a prescription for continual irrelevancy.
  6. They passed on Watson and Mahomes, traded players to acquire draft capital for an unusually deep draft for qb at the top. It sure as hell is a failure if they get frozen out on a top qb prospect.
  7. If we can get to 2, we should do it. I'm not yet convinced the Giants are stuck at 2. Further, if they aren't taking a qb themselves, I cannot really fathom a choice that would justify rejecting what they are likely to get back for the pick.
  8. No way I offer more than 12 and 22 for 5 to start. I might expect 12, 22, and 53 to be the price, but opening bid has to be lower than you expect to pay.
  9. First of all, I clearly said for me he was plan B and that I prefered the top four, so it doesn't really equate to "pick him over all the rest." Secondly, I think the claim that he is Tyrod 2.0 is lazy and wrong, but have fun with that.
  10. Rosen is more polished, but has durability issues. Imo, Darnold's ceiling is higher, so he's my first choice.
  11. Jackson is my plan B, so there is separation for me. Nonetheless, I won't be deeply disappointed unless we miss out on all five.
  12. If true, they won't trade up. I hope you are incorrect in your surmise.
  13. Saying you are adapatable to the strengths and weakness of whichever qb you end up with does not necessarily imply they don't have a strong preference for 1 or 2.
  14. I think the view that the top 4 have Andy Dalton as a ceiling is an outlier perspective.
  15. Did you just call Kay Adams scum? Pistols at dawn.
  16. We're picking at 22, so it's already inaccurate. Maybe Edmunds falls to 12. No way Smith makes it (my preferred lb). Still think we end up trading up for qb.
  17. Guess we'll have a better sense a few years down the road. Right now it's hard to get a read on the fella.
  18. Still time to redress the situation. If they settle for what you postulate, they are dopes and it won't sit well with the fanbase (nor should it.)
  19. I really think they are aggressively trying to trade up, though this may simply be my own hope coloring perception.
