He's slower than Coleman.

They did need a RB2. They also needed S, DT, WR. The whole draft has been about need.

Rice is the only WR left I would take in the fourth. I like Van Pran at C and Allen for RB Hammer.

We like smart players with good character and slow. If he's smart and good character, he's ours.

I think Keon is the Gabe replacement. They need a Diggs replacement. He isn't in the draft, but they have to try.

So happy you find it risible. It's the question of what role they play in the offense. Harty was a bust, and they dropped him and added Samuel.

I think he is the replacement for Harty, not Diggs or Davis. He's a higher end Swiss army knife.

Their actions imply that they think he can fill the void left by the departure of Diggs. That's a heavy lift, unless they bring a veteran in to mitigate the risk.

The little I have read on him is that he is young and has potential. Day 3 flier on an edge is about right for this draft.

I guess I'm comfortable with him as a Gabe Davis replacement. I still don't like that where he excels, or has a better chance at success, is as a big slot. Beane was talking about adding explosiveness to the WR room. Is that supposed to be Samuel, because Coleman isn't that? If you add prime and congenial Stephon Diggs to the current WR room, that would be a nice collection. Unfortunately, we are missing the key ingredient.

I just assumed Van Pran was gone. Walker in the fourth, okay. Guerendo or Braelon Allen at RB. I wouldn't mind Kendall Milton later in the draft.

Yeah, I'm just talking about using one pick on OL. I was mainly just adding a piece to the inventory you laid out. CB, RB2, WR are my main priorities. They should take a flier on an edge, but I never liked this draft class at that position.

RB2 is more than an afterthought. They need a bruiser. I'd still like to add OL depth. In general, I agree with your list.

I wouldn't either, but they need another plus talent in the WR room, imo, and I don't think it's in the draft. Maybe Beane does have a post 6/1 trade lined up, I dunno.

It gets you into the playoffs where you lose in the divisional round.

It's a baffling draft. They are still following a Carolina model. I don't like it. And you are correct, the rhetoric about explosive playmakers doesn't match up with their actions.

I was afraid to say it. Braelon Allen. We're building a bully. He's a hammer.

So, he wasn't my guy, but now that he's the pick, I'm looking forward. I hope the positive interpretations are correct. You can make a plausible case, but not everyone who was against the pick is a moron who just looked at the forty time. Some of us watched a lot of youtube and podcasts and read numerous analyses. Anyway, for certain, Coleman has basketball finesse to his game. That's not unimportant. It's what made a TE like Gates so effective. I want the fella to be good. And for sure, he's built for bad weather and playoff football.

That's some solid word play there.
