Why I moved my HQ to Philly...
Chilly replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Then perhaps it was worded poorly or everyone that thought that misunderstood, but thats what it seemed like. Because the team seemingly got worse in some areas, better in others, and with a new coaching staff, a number of rookies, and a new system, odds are against them doing any better then they did last year. Pointing to past results as a way to gauge future expectations is nothing new and more then logical here. And thus, based upon the 7-point Party Identification theory, you are a Republican. (This theory, by the way, has lots and lots of results/studies to back it up and what not. Pretty much as close to a law in political science as you can get). So, since you seemed pissed (as any good Republican should be), my apologizes. Not sure why the hell you said that you were raised as a Democrat then: Also, how the hell are you exposed to politics before you are born? Really? It doesn't? What advantages, exactly, does it offer over another region? - Weather? No. - Economy? No. - An aging workforce? Nope. - Taxes? No. No emoticons? No indication of sarcasm? Internet skills ftw. The reason why it was taken seriously, is there are people who really would think that way. The internet lets dumbasses like myself post every opinion ever thought like that anywhere. Because, quite frankly, why would anyone from outside the area want to invest in it? At least California had some nice weather and land going for it. Cause you said you were raised one in your post. -
rofl, I knew I was in one, but I totally forgot that I won it. I'm an idiot I thought I did bad in the TBD one and good in my EA Sports one, but I had it backwards.

If the President can cuss on TV:

I have actually heard the term used in a derogatory way before (or read it, not sure which, but I do recall it). Yeah, its way overblown. -

For that matter, where is the outcry from the African-American community with Romney? Hell, all I've seen throughout this whole thing is one black guy who was mad and quoted by a news agency. No protests, picketing, or anything of substance. IIRC Byrd also nipped it in the butt before the showing was aired, after it was taped, and apologized beforehand. -
Its not like Hiz'bollah is so strong that they can pretty much just push the extremely weak Lebanese government around, and put the country under whats functioning as an authoritarian regime with them in controle, is it? Nah, couldn't be! O wait.....

Oh noes, a Democrat said something stupid several years ago, but since he had a bunch of support from his constitutents and easily could (and will) get reelected, not to mention serving all those years, nothing happened more then a slap on the wrist? Romney got an article posted on CNN about him apologizing/explaining it, and no "repurcussions" of any kind. Here's the article on Byrd: http://archives.cnn.com/2001/ALLPOLITICS/0...slur/index.html The Same exact consequences (nothing) happened to both. But, for fun, lets throw out your buzzwords, phrases, and other such things, shall we? - Liberal Media!!!!111 - Bias!!!!!!!!!11111 - Democrats = different standards!!!!!11 - LOL THEY JUST THINK BUSH IS BAD LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL (edited because I couldn't make the other point that I wanted to in a way that I liked) -
Ah, you might be right, I didn't catch the sarcasm. A lot of why he's not starting in Arizona is because he doesn't have to. They already have a pretty good QB in ol' Kurt for this year. Leinart is pretty average on the NFL level I think. He isn't going to be a star in the league, but he'll be a serviceable QB. I think, to be honest, he'll be recognized as solid but not above average. Not a question-mark, but not much more then average, such as a Trent Green.
-
I completely disagree. Drafting Leinart would have started the 3-year process at QB over again, something that we couldn't afford. Sorry, but as "ready" as all the media and hype has Leinart, I don't believe it.

el oh el You realize you sound like a whiny computer nerd right? Anyway, responding to your post: First of all, get off your high horse. Condescention and whining don't go hand in hand. Oh noes! A newspaper article was negative, whatever shall we do! And on top of that, it was an opinion piece! WE'RE DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED. Guess what? Reality sucks. The Bills had a top 10 draft pick last year, which means they sucked. And you suck for not realizing that this is the case. No wonder why you are a Democrat: can't see reality. The area does suck, and one easy change isn't going to make it better. It would take years and years, and quite frankly, other cities and areas have so many benefits that you have to question whether it would be worth it. I love the people, the food, the comraderie, but look at it from someone else's point of view that didn't grow up with it: it sucks. rofl, did you just compare Buffalo to Stalin/Hitler? Haven't lived there long has you? To the rest of your post: You've oversimplified a very complex relationship between schools, talent, and jobs. School's don't just magically get to place people into companies. They have to build a program first. This takes years, and tons of money. Guess what else it takes? It takes companies to move into that area. Lets just magically throw a lightswitch and make it all better! -
Did the Jets draft the next Kelly Holcomb?

Really? I have seen Ramsey make excellent decisions with the ball and great pocket movement. Gibbs never gave him a chance, and Spurrier's offense is retarded. By the way, Jaws agrees. -
Dallas' DE Greg Ellis is wanting out of Dallas.

Just take a bit of TO and Parcells and Bledsoe and mix them in test tubes and find out what you have! Have you seen those commercials rofl -
Koppen and Harrison will miss Bills game

Very good article. And that pastor is 100% right. I don't understand why the religious right has this idea that if they make everyone act the way they want them to, its a good thing. It pushes people away from Christianity, not towards it. IIRC from my readings of the Bible back when I was in MS/HS, Jesus didn't force anyone to act the way he wanted them to, and its everyone's choice how to act and whether to accept him. -

I was in a TBD league last year, but I don't remember if it was one run by you Rich or not. If it was, I'm down again.

http://news.com.com/2100-1028_3-6099414.ht...99414&subj=news By a 410-15 vote, the House has passed the "Delete Online Predators Act", which would ban access to MySpace, Amazon.com, and other sites that have the following: !@#$ing stupid. I'd like to propose the Delete Offline Congressmen Act, which would ban all members of congress, and anyone who supports this, from being a congress person.
