  1. Norman is a great zone cornerback. It remains to be seen if he'll be a great player in another system. Jacksonville plays a similar zone CB scheme to Carolina so I think that would be a pretty good fit.
  2. Carolina couldn't trade Norman because he wasn't under contract as he didn't sign his tender, this is why they could rescind it. In my opinion this is a mistake on Norman's part. There's a limited market for him at this point so he's going to get much less money than if he played under the 14 million tag for a year and became a free agent next year.
  3. I like Cirque (I've seen most cirque shows on the strip, just not Zumanity) but like eball O was my least favorite. Ka was amazing and the one I've seen multiple times. The original Naked City Pizza is in a bar and super super sketchy. I drove by and decided not to stop about six years ago. They have a new location now on Paradise that I think would be significantly better.
  4. Square Cash > venmo and PayPal! Hammer, absolutely love the prepay idea. This will be my first home opener in five years and I can't do it without a great spot at Hammers!
  5. Teams that feature great RBs often do so because they are lacking at the most important position in the game, QB. And you can be reasonably successful (playoffs), but that's about your cap. Minnesota this year was a great example of that, Bridgewater was very meh yet they still got to the playoffs. When a team gets half decent QB play with a great runningback, those teams can be successful. Kaepernick and Gore is a good example. When teams get cash strapped for the crazy expensive, star QB that top notch RB becomes expendable because you can win without the RB (even though you're better with him). As a result, the top RBs are going to be biased toward losing teams because those teams don't have great quarterbacks, it's hard to get quarterbacks, and they're trying to find another way to win so they'll pay the top backs. With the biased introduced as a result of the cap I don't think success is a great way to evaluate positional impact. We just don't see a lot of great RBs on teams with a top QB today because they can't keep everyone. When you do have that combo, you can dominate (Seattle with Wilson and Lynch comes to mind).
  6. I'm a fan of drafting Dak. I think he's a great fit for our football team and throws the ball better than expected.
  7. This include Thursday Night? That's what I'm starting to plan for, I think TNF and a tailgate would be amazing.
  8. I'm coming up for this game! See you all there!
  9. Do the Bills back themselves into a corner in the draft a lot?
  10. Jordan :( :(
  11. What QB that is realistically available right now or on their roster gives the Jets a better shot at winning than Fitz?
  12. There's a ton of offseason left but if they don't sign Fitzy they ain't winning.
  13. Our highway system is awful. The worst intersection in the country is MLK and 35. Unfortunately there's not a lot of options to fix it because Austin is landlocked. I bought a house on SH 130. I pay a lot in tolls every month but Damn is it not worth it to have 85 mph speed limit half the way to work lol.
  14. I love Texas, not planning to ever move. Not a native but have lived in Buffalo, Orlando, and now Texas, and Texas wins. Orlando was terrible. I love the people and the culture here in Texas. I've lived in both San Antonio and Austin over the past 13 years and they're both great cities, but Austin is my favorite. Natural beauty, amazing tech industry, average to low cost of living, no state income tax, fantastic food, great bar scene, great people, all of the live events that take place all the time here, the big festivals, I love it. And it's amazing that fifteen minutes from my house are small Texas towns in the middle of nowhere with amazing bbq. The one place in Texas I'd be hard pressed to move to is Houston. The rest I absolutely love.
  15. Not true. I've been experimenting on myself for years.
  16. ILB is a huge need. Good to see them addressing the depth. Hopefully we can use the draft to get the impact players we need.
  17. Bill Polian has talked a lot on Sirius about how there are generally only 15 or so truly first round rated picks in a draft, and then a whole bunch of guys as second rounders. If you're picking where the Patriots have picked, trading back is a sound strategy because your board is likely bunched up and there's a team looking to hop back into the first to get their guy before the day ends and other teams reevaluate their draft boards. However, if you are constantly drafting in the top 15 and have an opportunity at one of those top tier talents, trading back isn't a great strategy. Chances are you need those impact players and you're passing them up on your draft board in order to pick up more quantity but at significant less quality.

  22. Congress has all the power from a domestic policy standpoint anyway. Remember to vote against your incumbents everyone.
