  1. I don't really love this pick. Lawson is an edge rusher, the Jerry Hughes role. We already have Hughes! My biggest needs for the Bills were ILB, NT, and WR. We had the best WR in the draft at making contested catches on the board, Josh Doctson. He would have replaced Robert Woods terrible 50% catch rate from last year. We also need ILBs. Know who is a versatile linebacker who plays in the middle? Darron Lee. I hope I end up being wrong but I feel like we could have done better.
  2. Lol I can't think it is but I'm really hoping it is
  3. Lol didn't see Dr. D beat me. Love this image. New fantasy team logo.
  4. The best way to build a long term winning franchise is still through the draft, and Whaley has been fantastic. I have full confidence in him moving forward.
  5. Especially into a boat on lake Travis. Wtf?
  6. 1. Carson Wentz - Eagles 2. Jared Goff - Rams 3. Ezekiel Elliot - Cowboys 4. Laquon Treadwell - Chiefs 5 Paxton Lynch - Saints Bills Pick (bonus) : Josh Doctson
  7. I'd love Josh Doctson. Hands of glue.
  8. He would have probably had more leverage next season at the start of free agency, but I agree with what you're saying. Great fit too with the Redskins defense and good contract structure by Washington. That deal was a win for both sides.
  9. You do when your prior regimes picks suck. The Bills need way more talent at receiver and a pick is way better than overpaying for Mohammed Sanu
  10. I really want Josh Doctson in round 1. Huge receiver that catches everything. He's what James hardy was supposed to be.
  11. Really interesting article posted that argues biases against shorter quarterbacks cause us to set them up for failure. It makes the case that the way shorter, skilled quarterbacks are handled is the issue, not their size. http://presnapreads.com/2016/04/24/how-height-unfairly-sets-up-nfl-quarterback-prospects-for-successfailure/ There's a few Tyrod mentions in the article. One thing that struck me was how Russell Wilson's pass chart was so close to Tyrod. The Seahawks Superbowl winning passing offense was darn close to ours from a pass choice perspective. Roman is doing an excellent job setting Tyrod up for success and I can't wait to see another year of progression.
  12. NT in round 2 makes so much sense, including for this - have Kyle Williams and Marcel Dareus as the DEs, with Hughes as a pass rushing OLB, and you've got a pretty good front-7.
  13. Really great article by Kevin Massare here: Buffalo Bills Drafting Offense – The Great Debate In that article, he makes the case that the Bills should go offense at #19. I'll admit, I didn't realize how much I actually liked our starting front-7 until I sat down and reviewed it. It's a lot stronger than I *thought* it would be. We definitely have some depth to fill in, but I don't think it's as bad as we all assume it is when we think defense is a given. #2 WR might be the biggest hole on the team. Robert Woods isn't good enough (but a darn good slot receiver), and he's our best option. We have to replace the production of Harvin/Hogan, and we don't have a great talent to do it. I do like Hankerson, but he's an ideal #4 WR, not a #2. I'm becoming a fan of a potential trade back, as there will likely be multiple good WR options at #19, grabbing an extra pick for depth, and then going WR/NT in the draft. If I look at our starters, the biggest holes are WR, RT, DL. Let's get two of those in the first two rounds to really make this team stronger. BTW, in case you guys don't read the article, Matt Miller is reporting that the latest draft buzz is the Bills going WR in round 1. https://twitter.com/nfldraftscout/status/723725773513756672
  14. Wow that's a really smart contract. Don't lock him in long-term in case the coaching staff changes (Gruden will likely get 2 more years anyway), they have a ton of cap space next season, and it'll take him through 30 years old. It's a lot of money ($18.25 mil/year), but super smart contract and they have a ton of cap room next season. Now they just need to sign Kirk long-term so they can spread out some of that cap hit. Props to the Skins on it. I like it more structured like that for sure.
  15. I agree - "More Versatile" would have been better language for me to use. And players that can play in multiple schemes (like Gilmore) will get interest from more teams, dragging his $$$ up. That's what I (poorly) tried to get across. Unfortunately, Norman is a fantastic fit for the Redskins' scheme. They run cover-3 like crazy, and are almost exclusively zone play for their DBs.
  16. Voted but he's got a ways to go!`
  17. Ugh. Gilmore is a better all-around CB than Norman too. This sucks.
  18. Denver has two of the best Corners in football, Chris Harris and Aquib Talib, and they're both better than Josh Norman.
  19. Doesn't mean a ton without looking at deal structure and guarantees.
  20. It's also skillset. Norman has only been a zone corner and usually those aren't that important to a scheme.
  21. Pat Kirwan was talking about how he's not worth near as much as man corners like Denver's duo today. Denver's are making 9 and 8 million respectively.
  22. The Flyers were in the playoffs when their fans committed that atrocity.
  23. Forbes is like a high class version of Buzzfeed.
  24. Hmm... Wonder if Norman could stay in Carolina. Reminds me of when the Giants rescinded Plaxico's tag, he got a new agent, and then signed with the Giants.
