  1. I'm not opposed to that idea, but looking at the LBs as a whole, getting rid of Preston Brown means yet another hole they need to fill. Lorenzo isn't getting any younger, and Humber is also a FA. If you get rid of Preston, the depth chart going into the offseason next season could look like: Zo Vallejo Millano + Draft Picks and free agents. At this point that would be replacing 2 starters and 3 backups. I'd like to see them keep Brown and only spend one high pick on a LB. Supplement those guys with Vallejo & Millano and you've got a decent unit.
  2. Oh wow he definitely plays bigger than that.
  3. Priority from this list is Preston Brown and E.J. Gaines. Matthews would be nice cheap but he's going to get too much $$$ and Kelvin/Zay are the #1/#2 for next year; I would expect him to be gone. Guys that are maybes depending on $$$: Kyle Williams Leonard Johnson Cedric Thornton Jerel Worthy Shareece Wright Deonte Thompson (fits the big WR mold they like) I don't think anyone on that list is really necessary, though they will have to spend resources to build DL depth if they let them all go. I imagine the most likely to get back is Kyle Williams - at his age, he won't be getting a big contract from anyone.
  4. And Jordan Matthews. The Kelvin trade, and the fact that they're 5-2, makes me feel MUCH better about trading Sammy. If they're sitting at 6-2 I'll be thrilled.
  5. Has to be the worst ref in the NFL
  6. Holy crap - never thought I'd see Josh Wink on this board! Love the profound sounds mixes.
  7. I have no idea who is being sarcastic anymore in this thread.
  8. Peterman behind this O-Line would get Trent Edwards'd right now.
  9. I'm very glad Whaley signed Poyer and Hyde.
  10. I walked into the Bills Backers club of Austin today and told my friends "I think we're going to win. I have no idea how, but when a Vegas line is THIS fishy it always goes opposite".
  11. This might be the highlight of that game! Ohh I forgot I've seen them before! That was a cool show. Thanks!
  12. It's a fun strawman to take two opposing voices and act as if they're the same person.
  13. Did he have open receivers to throw to?
  14. Tyrod keeping us in the game isn't mutually exclusive from the entire offense sucking. Tyrod's plays we're the only thing that kept every single series from being a 3 and out.
  15. Watkins stretching the defense would have made this a completely different game on offense.
  16. Really tough loss for us here in Austin, but I'm extremely happy they competed with USC. Ehlinger's gotta be our starter going forward
  17. I lean Hilton here because I don't fully trust Blount, and I think Brisket will be an upgrade over Tolzien.
  18. Oh I like Chris a lot, been following him on Twitter for a while, before he was the editor of Buffalo Rumblings. Had no idea he joined TBN, thanks!
  19. If I cared about Buffalo News' coverage, I would absolutely pay for it. I'm a subscriber to HornsDigest, and very much enjoy the quality content they produce on UT. I pay for a SiriusXM subscription mainly for their fantastic sports content that isn't available anywhere else. What I want out of football content is education about the game. Why are the coaches making Xs & Os decisions that they are making? Why is the offense setup the way it is? What tendencies are they specifically trying to exploit? The guys at SiriusXM are fantastic at this, and there are some smaller Bills sites (like Cover1) going after it too. I haven't seen traditional media do this well yet, if BN becomes this with high quality content, I'm in.
  20. It really is just the Jets. Can't take much away from that game other than they were ready to complete and won a game they were supposed to win. It's a positive for sure but drawing other conclusions against a bad football team is kinda pointless. They were ready to go for week one and now we'll see if they have the ability to beat a better team on the road in week two.
  21. This is quite the straw man argument you posted. I don't believe anyone would have been impressed by NE only winning 21-12 vs NYJ and leaving 10 points on the field.
  22. I watched all of the games yesterday. The entire NFL looked like crap on offense. The defenses were much better overall and week one is always goofy.
  23. Not this morning it wasn't at planet Hollywood. I'm in Vegas.
