  1. As a Texas alum, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Charlie Strong obviously had to go, but my attitude is very much prove it towards Herman. I would've rather had someone proven but if he really is the second coming of Urban Meyer, then awesome. I'm not excited at all but time will tell.
  2. Guess what team the NFL wants to win the super bowl this year?
  3. And they'll still play at least 3 out of every four years, and it'll be more balanced, and you get more high quality matchups each year between teams currently dominating their divisions.
  4. I'd like to kill the divisions, have two conferences, do 12/16 conference teams and 4/16 cross conference every year.
  5. Denver struggled against Cleveland last year, had to beat them in OT, and went on to win the Superbowl.
  6. I have no idea why people want Tyrod to fail. Good lord enjoy the win, the defense played great.
  7. I grew up in Tuscawilla and went to WSHS. Live in Austin now. Apparently we're on similar location paths lol.
  8. I'd pronounce it Hey-bear
  9. The guy that wrote this runs a Vikings blog.
  10. Polish one off, you'll be fine.
  11. Interesting article from a Vikings blog, good to see an outsiders opinion. https://purpleptsd.com/2016/11/12/a-year-and-change-later-tyrod-taylor-is-thriving-and-joe-flacco-is-ailing/
  12. I'm going to Duffs for lunch in Southlake, TX
  13. 1st and Goal: Run to McCoy. 2nd and Goal: Sack 3rd and Goal: Sack 4th and Goal from the 15. It wasn't Tyrod that didn't pull through there.
  14. I feel bad for TT, he played an amazing game and got totally undermined by the rest of the team on the last four downs. One run (when we hadn't been able to run the ball after Wood went out), two terrible OL plays that led to sacks, and one pass attempt from 4th and goal. I have no idea how you expect a QB to overcome that and the refs.
  15. Did you watch him play this weekend? Burned for 3 awful touchdowns.
  16. P1. WR P2. S, CB P3. Rest of the needs We've got to get our weapons and DBs fixed to be effective. I disagree. His average $s will put him towards QB #20, behind guys like Tanny and Kap. It's just not that much money for an NFL QB. They can draft a 1st rounder at $5mil/year and still be spending less on the QB position than Luck, Brees, Palmer, etc.
  17. Didn't we just do this thread last week?
  18. I have an anova but haven't used it a ton... What's the best method for a good sear that you guys have found?
  19. Has he? I don't see many people saying he's the long-term answer and calling for him to be given his huge contract. I see a bunch of people saying "best we've got/had for a while".
  20. I'm not convinced as TT as a long-term QB, I don't know if he's good enough because he's not a QB that can win a shootout and you need that sometimes in the NFL. I do know he's the best option we have right now. Guys like EJ are even more dependent. EJ can't escape pressure like Tyrod does and EJ doesn't have the threat that TT's legs do. Right now, even if EJ was a better passer, we have zero weapons to take advantage of it. The state of the offense is dire and it starts with the worst WR group in the entire NFL. We have zero weapons outside of Sammy and Sammy is hurt.
  21. Bills weapons on offense vs New England: Tyrod Taylor's legs. Bills weapons on offense vs Seattle: Tyrod Taylor's legs Shady McCoy (maybe) I don't see how removing Tyrod Taylor's legs helps. EJ isn't a threat to run, we have no one to catch a pass.
  22. This is exactly how I see it as well.
  23. Next time before posting this, go back and refresh your memory by watching EJ games. He's about a billion times worse than Tyrod.
  24. If Shady plays, we have a chance. Seattle has been bad on offense and against the running game. No Shady, we likely get beat. I'm taking Seattle in a close one, but wouldn't be shocked if we won if we have a healthy shady.
  25. The offensive and defensive lines got bullied yesterday. Rex wanted to build a bully? He should look at what Miami did to us. Their OL were constantly on our LBs, and our OL was constantly beat by their DL. Just awful. The best way to being a consistent team is to win up front and we got our ass kicked yesterday.
