I bought an ACE bandage yesterday and it definitely helps. I will now begin the three hour task of trying to get a hold of my doctor's office. I'm just worried because I had what I was told was a "sprained wrist" when I played hockey up in Canada about six years ago. Turned out to be a broken bone and I had to have surgery to fix it three years after. I went to the same Doc that the Sabres and Bills used.

I can stand with all weight on that ankle with no pain but if I lean to one side or the other, the pain is bad.

I rolled my ankle real bad this Saturday. It swelled up to the size of a softball. I iced it for two days and the swelling is very minimal right now but there is bruising under my ankle which I noticed this morning. I can walk but gingerly and with an obvious limp, I hope I just sprained it but am fearing that it might be broken. Anyways, should I wait it out? Go to the ER (which will cost me a $100 bucks) or call my doctor? Can he have me sent anywhere else other than an ER to avoid the cost? Insurance sucks now!

I'm inclined to tell a story about a Geography class I took at UB with my friend who is an Army Ranger. Three of his Ranger-mates were also seated in class with us. This tree-hugging professor kept ripping into Bush about the Kyoto Accord that he won't accept and for good reason. It places the burden of world pollution on the US. This would go on for weeks and then he made the following statement... "We spend millions on sending our people to countries like Iraq to kill innocent people but we won't spend millions on help the world environment." One of the fellas -- and you can tell he's in the Army just by looking at him -- got up in this giant lecture hall and said "Support your God Damn troops, they're the reason you can go to sleep safe at night." He then walks out of class but before he leaves drops "I'm not going to sit in hear and listen to your anti-American bull sh-t." Couple of the tree huggers that sat in front we're in disbelief. I was rolling on the floor laughing! The Professor just drop his head and never mentioned anything about troops, Bush, or anything of that nature again for the rest of the semester.

You know damn well that the show is going to suck us in, reveal some mysteries and then have us shocked by a bigger mystery which we'll have to wait until fall to be revealed.

I was watching a re-run of The Bowman Cup at HSBC Arena from last month on TV. The Blue Ice and the Orange Lines were horrendous. The blue ice was very distracting and the orange lines were more than hurtful to the eyes. I hear it looks good in person but on TV the colors are RJ. Bring back the white. On a separate note, I watched the Hannan-4OT game against the Devils from 12 years ago. Boy that was awesome, hockey was fun back then. Every Friday on HTTV, they have Sabres rewind, replaying the best games in club history. This Friday, they replay the whole Buffalo-Ottawa Game 7 Derek Plante game. That early 90s Sabres team should have won two cups. They were stacked.

Not that it's TV, but WGR should be returning to streaming in the coming months.
