My girlfriend hates me because I usually can pick off major surprises or outcomes of a TV show or movie well before it actually happens. My prediction is that Matthew (the new guy at the 4400 center) is Jordan Collier. How? Probably something to do with his powers that he never manifested. Everything that Matt did and said, screamed Jordan to me. Also, I think the powers that be should set up a TV/Movie Forum, where we could post much of this stuff. There are always a lot of posts about movies and TV shows, I think it would make sense to have a forum dedicated to it.

They said they put much thought into getting rid of ties but at the end of the day, it will make it more exciting for fans.

I agree it's easy to switch team rosters but they probably make the physical copy of the game way before the ship date. I don't think rosters will be set until a week or so before the season.

With 50% of the league's players going to switch teams in the next month and not to mention the impending rules changes, I wonder what EA Sports is going to do? They can't possibly release the game like they usually do, a month before the season starts. BTW: The game looks like the best hockey game ever. I haven't bought the last 3-4 years because it was the same game with a different year as the title.

Get well soon man! I was sick like that once before, you need to drink lots and lots of Gatorade and slowly move on to foods that can stay down, even just a loaf of bread. I'd recommend going with the Gatorade Endurance Formula, that will make up for lost fluids.

I honestly don't think the league will try any shannagins simply because they will win either way. However, if I had to guess, I don't think the league wants Crosby to go to a Canadian team simply because non-chalant hockey fans in the US won't watch the Vancouver's or Calgary's play on US tv. I would also say that markets like New York already have a huge fan base so I think the NHL benefits more if Crosby goes to a team (wishful thinking) like Buffalo because it then makes another team marketable that wasn't before hand. EDIT: I think the only way the NHL will be hurt is if Crosby goes to a city that doesn't deserve hockey like Atlanta or Nashville. Atlanta already has two of the best young players in the league and nobody really cares.

No news on scheduling as of yet. I know they made some changes to the structure of the schedule as part of the CBA, so they are probably working on it as we speak.

There's no way the blue ice is going to happen. High-Def TV experts told the NHL that the white ice is the best thing they could have for HD. If you've ever watched a hockey game on HD, you'll know what exactly what they mean. The white ice is so clear and the puck stands out beautifully. Bettman is actively trying to make all broadcast HD within a few years.

Swingers is a movie a friend turned me on to a year or so ago and it easily became one of my favorites baby. The T-man (Vince) was awesome in in. BTW: What happened to Jon Favreau? He gained about 100 pounds. I will say this, I loved the chemistry Vince showed with Owen. They mesh well together but I think it has a lot to say about Vince's acting abilities, he meshes well with just about everyone.

I've had my DVR for a couple of months now and because of it I have been introduced to channels other than ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, ESPN, etc. I gotta say that the quality of shows on networks like USA and Sci-Fi is fantastic. USA does an awesome job with their show programming. I'm hooked on The 4400, Dead Zone and Monk. I never thought I'd be a Sci-Fi guy but I love the Stargate shows on that channel. It's nice to see some quality TV shows in the summer other that the reality crap that the major networks spit out.

I can't believe no one posted anything about this movie. It's as good as Old School. The one liners Vince Vaughan delivers in it are priceless. If you haven't seen it, I'd recommend doing so ... now! "And if we're really lucky, we'll play a game of 'just the tip'."

Tonight's show was easily one of the best TV episodes I've ever seen. I'm hooked on this show like white on rice. Considering their budget, I think this show is as good as LOST. In fact, I think it's a perfect summer relief for not having LOST. BTW: I just hope that Jordan isn't really did. He was one of the main character's I loved.

I'm 99% sure that the playoffs won't be 20 teams. The 16 team playoff structure worked great. Playoffs were never a problem in hockey.

He's working as a co-host for the Fan 590 in T.O. among other things. He still works for ESPN too I believe.

So I was watching "Walkabout" yesterday after it sat on my DVR for a while. That was the episode that dwelled into Locke. If you look at the scene where he first starts to wiggle his toes and walk, do you know what was around him? The monster ("fast moving black smoke"). I'm starting to wonder where else that thing appeared.
