If it was on WGR, I'd ask PTR (PromoTheRobot). He's WGR #1 listener.

Sabres to Bills: Your percentage interest
PTS replied to The_Real's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love both teams equally. If you are referring to how much you focus on one team or the other I think it's a matter of what time of year it is. Bills games mean more than Sabres regular season games. Although never possible, if on the same day the Bills played in the Super Bowl and the Sabres in Stanley Cup Finals one win from the Cup and someone told me I can go to either game free of charge, I won't go. I'd stay at home and bring two TVs together and relish in my wet dream. -
You might want to check the Department of Energy's website. Snopes is actually wrong this time. Which makes me wonder how right they are about other stuff.

No political statements in this post. This information is something that everyone should know. Oil companies need to report each month to the US Department of Engery where they purchase their oil from. Fox News reported today which five oil companies do not purchase oil from the Middle East. Companies That Do Not Import Oil From The Middle East: Sunoco Citgo ConocoPhillips (76) Sinclair BP What's The Difference? The report stated that the money you spend at gas stations that purchase oil from the Middle East does go to charities in the Middle East that are being fronted by Terrorist groups. Seriously, share this list with everyone. Mobil -- where I used to get gas -- is one of the biggest importers of Middle Eastern oil.

There was a erroneous report on CNN Europe that Belgium's National Guard was nearing the French border. Most of France went underground.
-
Hate is such a strong word. However, when talking about France, strong isn't enough. "I despise the French!"

Whatever dude, get over it. I still stand by what I said, Ty Law was in town. Just because they didn't sign him doesn't mean he wasn't here. I guess I was wrong about the Sabres jersey thing too, huh? Oh Coach -- by the way -- did I ever tell you what a DICKerson you are. You're the reason the Bills associate WGR with Satan. Go eat a donut. Who loves ya baby?
-
The WGR website is an obvious extension of the station. On-air, on the website, it's all the same.
-
Look for yourself. Go to the WGR website and see if you see "Buffalo Bills" mentioned anywhere other than in a news article. The WGR Bills Report is called "Buffalo Football Report" and it's not like WGR is reporting on UB football. There are no Bills logos anywhere as well. News articles are the only way WGR can say Buffalo Bills because that's freedom of press. Now look at every other radio/tv station website that isn't part of the Bills TV/Radio network and you'll see they have much more freedom with the Bills.

What an expert. In fact, I think you can also say this... "Given a solid quarterback and good skill players, an offensive coordinator will find ways to attack the FILL IN THE BLANK TEAM defense."
-
No way, Shaud is the #2. That's why he barely played on Saturday. They wanted to see the guys fight for that 3rd spot.
-
Our defense which gave up 17 points in two games against supposedly offensive minded teams is only third in points allowed this preseason to Dallas' 13 and Seattle's 15. BTW: Dallas and Seattle have only played one game so far. We are #1 in Yards Allowed with only 224.0 per game and #1 in yards per pay with 3.5 yards. Granted, the only thing we can take from this for certainity is that our depth on defense is great, but for all of you worried about the GB's 1st drive, calm down. It's only one drive. We can't stop everyone from scoring all the time.
-
Which came first, the chicken or the egg? What's my point? My point is the Bills -- because of The Coach -- don't let WGR do their job as a radio station without making it extremely difficult. If WGR does anything Bills related, they usually get letters from NFL lawyers saying don't do that again. It's a battle every day for WGR just to be able to say the words Buffalo Bills on air.

Went to the game tonight. A couple of things
PTS replied to The_Real's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You went to the game and you didn't even mention the WAVE that went around the stadium about 20 times. Haddad will make this team. Period. -

Good move on the Sabres end... WGR: Sabres Change Times For Two December Games
-
Everyone is getting heated and they have no reason to yet. Mark my words, OLN will drop down to the basic tier channels. ESPN didn't care for hockey. This is a good thing. Plus, the NHL network will now be available in America.
-
Comcast will most likely make OLN a basic package channel for all outlets. They need to get into as many households as possible to get ad revenue up and to keep the NHL when the deal is up in two years. This is a big move by Comcast to step up against the market controlling ESPN. I read an article from Canada a few weeks back saying ESPN could awaken a giant if they pass up on hockey. In the end, if all works out, OLN will turn into ESPN-type channel and that will drive the prices of cable and satelitte down because ESPN charges ridiculous rates that are passed on to you and me.

Here's a forwarded e-mail I got that I thought I'd share with everyone...

Rian is booting the ball on kickoffs, he also looks physically bigger than last year. Hopefully all that crap that TD said about him looking great is true.
-
With the way this team ended last season on a great stretch and as along as JP keeps it simple, this is gonna be a great season! Opening Day can't come soon enough! Bring on the Colts scrubs!
-
Even if they shorten the pre-season, players would just get hurt in the first few weeks of the season. Because of the nature of the sport, I doubt there is anything you can do to prevent injuries.

He graduated with a degree in Business Adminstration in 2003. He's only 24. PGA, for whatever reason, hires very young, probably because they are very attached to the job and family would get in the way.

My buddy has been there for about eight months now I believe. It's a great gig if you like moving around. He went from Rochester to Nashville to New Jersey in the last three years. He wants out though, wants to come back home to Rochester. They pay him hansomly, give him a free car each year (sponsor's make - so it's any Buick he wants this year). He gets a few months off and goes on to the next gig.

A big Oak Tree broke apart and fell on some specators following Tiger's group at The PGA Championship. Not sure of the severity of the injuries, but it was a pretty big branch. One of my good friends is the "DA MAN" at the Championship. He's the Head Tournament Coordinator this year. I saw him running around on Headline News a few minutes ago. He was second in command when the Championship was in Rochester two summers ago. Tiger is on the verge of missing the cut for the first time ever in a major as a pro. Lefty is in the lead.
