  1. Rothlisberger carried Miami of Ohio. Why didn't JPL do that same at Tulane? I watch college football more than the average guy and follow the players very closely. That draft season, I watched Big Ben play a few times and and said time and again that he's by far the best QB in that draft, better than Manning and Rivers. JPL wasn't even on my list, probably because their whole team sucked. Either way, Bills took a huge gamble and right now we're holding a 10 and a deuce with the dealer showing a face card. I don't like our odds.
  2. For one JP was great at Tulane but Leinhart is God at USC but that's not the point I was trying to make. Great QBs -- and most players for the most part -- that come out of big time, NFL-like programs such as Miami, USC, etc have an easier time adjusting the the NFL game. I guess that's the point I was trying to make and I didn't explain it better.
  3. I could live with that if this team made the playoffs in the recent years but I don't know what NFL playoffs feel like anymore. Every year since TD's been here, it's been "wait for next season." Same crap with the Sabres, the Peace Bridge, and anything else that needs to be done in Buffalo. I'm packing my crap up and moving to New England.
  4. Carson Palmer went to USC. JPL went to Tulane. Big difference. Plus, comparing JPL to Palmer is like comparing Canada's military to America's military.
  5. Strong rumor has it M&T Bank gave Ralph's daughter -- the person who would retain ownership of the Bills when Ralph passes -- a HUGE cash loan. When Ralph passes away, she will then need to transfer ownership of the team to M&T or she'll have to repay the loan plus a ridiculous amount of interest and fees. Bills ain't going anywhere.
  6. You say tank the season like they have to TRY to lose games. You need to be somewhat good to tank games, this team isn't good at all. The beginning of our schedule is a lot easier than the latter half of our season. Plus, even though Matt Leinhart will be the next Peyton Manning, TD would never draft him because that would be admission he screwed up with Losman.
  7. Did somebody call me? We're doomed. We'll be lucky to go 6-10 without Spikes. No offense plus weakened defense equals low draft pick.
  8. This team won't make the playoffs this year, mostly because of the decision to go with a "rookie" QB. When we dumped Bledsoe I was pissed because even though I didn't think Drew was that great of a QB, this team could have made a run with him at the helm. My entire thinking was based on my belief that JP isn't ready to lead this team now or in the near future. I, among many, were told constantly that I don't know my football and that TD knows best. During the off-season, I warmed up to this decision as I bought into the whole "this is better for the team argument." However, now I'm off that bandwagon. I'm not drinking the TD Kool-Aid anymore. I might not being making hundreds of thousands of dollars to run a football team but I can see a bad decision when I see one. JP is years away. I watched at RWS today as this kid stared down an open receiver only to throw to one that was covered or even double-covered. He's not good enough for this team and he won't be for a while. Drew's no spring chicken but I guarantee he would have done better. There is NO way we'll make the playoffs this year. TD has made a lot of good decisions as GM but just as many bad ones. When we don't make the playoffs this year, his ass should be sent packing.
  9. I like your theory, makes sense. I think Walt left Vincent with Shannon for a specific reason. Walt is obviously pyschic and maybe he knew Shannon has those untapped powers as well, even if she doesn't as well.
  10. I missed that episode of America's Next Top Model where they find out who can really blow their coke.
  11. Three, possibly four, others survivored in the back including Analucia and Rose's husband. They are somewhere on the island. This is confirmed by the producers and cast. These survivors were the ones we heard on the transmission that Boone received before he died. "No, we're the survivors of Flight 815."
  12. Walt on TV: Gibberish Walt reversed: "Press the button. No button's bad." See my sig for a blog entry about the episode's mysteries.
  13. Here's audio of Walt speaking backwards. Audio of What Walt Actually Says During The Show Audio of What Walt Says When You Play It Backwards
  14. Some of those answers can be found in my blog entry for the show. See link above. Walt is speaking backwards. My guess is the Island is some sort of experiment and the hatch area is made to look "homey" for the mental sake of the person living there.
  15. I have decided to use my TBD Blog to recap the clues and details of each episode this season. Here's the link ... Click Here I think many of you will find it interesting. You gotta watch these episodes REAL close, especially in the flashbacks.
  16. http://www.oceanicflight815.com/ If you go the Lost website above and enter the code "theislandiswaiting" you'll get a one page script from the show for what looks like that next episode. Basically it looks as if something happens in the hatch that freaks Jack out so much that is causes him to have one thought on his mind ... RUN. The real kicker is the last paragraph which I'm pissed I read because that might be a huge spoiler. Next week should be even better.
  17. I'm starting to wonder what is quarantined? Most think the hatch is protecting the outside from what's inside the hatch. But is the hatch protecting the inside from the Island?
  18. My initial thought was he injected 'roids since he seemed to be all about working his body, but the quarentine sign on the hatch could lead to a vaccine. Who knows? They opened up the hatch, and then whole can of worms that came with it.
  19. Let me rephrase that ... what the hell is that dude. I knew it was him as soon as I saw the flashback scene.
  20. I forgot how much I hated when show ends in the heat of the moment. What the hell does it all mean? Who is that dude? What does it have to do with "The Others"? Walt? The hatch mystery for now is answered, but 10 more mysteries are found. I have decided to use my TBD Blog to recap the clues and details of each episode this season. Here's the link ... Click Here I think many of you will find it interesting. You gotta watch these episodes REAL close, especially in the flashbacks.
  21. Damn, that's crazy. You have time to watch all them? I'm struggling now.
  22. In order of priority, excluding sporting events. I can DVR/Tivo off two TVs so my list is long. 1. Lost 2. Boston Legal 3. Stargate SG-1 4. Stargate Atlantis 5. Prisonbreak 6. The 4400 7. Threshold 8. Battlestar Galatica 9. The Office 10. Arrested Development 11. Alias 12. Invasion* 13. Surface 14. My Name Is Earl* 15. Joey * - Shows have yet to premiere. I don't know where I'd be without my DVR. Side Note: I don't have HBO, otherwise Curb would be one of my top shows.
  23. It's not bad, but no where nears as good as Threshold on CBS. I DVRed it myself and watched it late last night.
  24. I rented the first few parts of season one and loved it. Last night's episodes had my laughing hard. It's a refreshing kind of comedy.
