Sorry, didn't see it. It's $199 but you get $100 back over 10 months on your bill. OPPS: Now I see the question wasn't directed toward me. Funny, but that's what I spent on a HD DVR from Dish last weekend.

To be honest, I don't think I even remember watching that game or even caring what happened. My hatred for all things TD spilled over into the team itself. There's nothing wrong with being a Born-Again Bills Fan.
-
Sure this team has sucked for what feels like an eternity and it probably will suck again this year but I abandoned them and wished them nothing but the worst last season. I did something a true fan should never do. However, I had a HUGE beef with the old administration and what they did to our team. They tainted my love for the Bills. The stentch of TD has almost wore off but I still have a beef with Ralph as I think he is the sole reason we haven't done much in the past decade. However, I'm starting to feel good about this group (Marv & Company). Marv knows how to win and althought he might not be the greatest pick for GM, he deserves a chance. He makes people around him better. Hopefully that translates all the way down into the field. That being said, I'm back on the bandwagon. I don't expect much this season so anything over five wins will be great, but win or lose, I won't completely fall off the wagon this time. Well, as long as Satan himself doesn't return. These are my sins, I am truly sorry for having sinned against you.

Go to the County Clerks office. Fill out the paywork, pay the small fee and presto.

I got hooked into this franchise last year around this time and since then have rented all eight previous seasons and watched the last two on The SciFi Channel. I didn't know that two weeks ago SciFi Channel announced that they will not be ordering any more SG-1 episodes and that Season 10 will be the last for the record breaking show. Stargate Altantis -- however -- will be picked up for Season 4. Looks to me like SciFi Channel is biting off the hand that fed them for five years and made their network a household name. Maybe they can show more Wrestling on the SciFi Channel. That should have been the first warning. http://www.savestargatesg1.com

Buffalo needs a sports station that can tell us the Bills are awesome, JP is Jim Kelly resurrected, and Super Bowl XLI here we come! Anything other than that is garbage.

Man, that guy had the whole world in his hands and he pissed it all away with bad decision after bad decision.

FINAL UPDATE: Mortgage has been approved by Citi, SONYMA, God, George W. and SDS! Closing date scheduled for early next week which I'm not too happy about but all things considered I'm glad this process if finally over. I'd like to thank everyone for letting me vent in this thread!

Bottomline is anyone that thinks we'll be any good with any of these QBs is delusional.

Ladies and gentlemen, I'm happy to report some good news finally. I received a phone call at 7:30pm tonight and here's what I was told by CitiMortgage... Apparently my mortgage was approved earlier this week but at the wrong interest rate. CitiMortgage sent it back to the SONYMA (New York State) for correction. My loan specialist said that the people over at SONYMA were very vague about the situation but it appears as if they tried to force a higher rate on me which the bank didn't accept because I was locked in. Long story short, SONYMA promised Citi that they would be sending final approval and notice to proceed with closing first thing Monday morning. I guess I shouldn't get too excited yet but the fact that my loan specialist actually called me this evening has me feeling a lot better. Now I must get the lawyers to close on or before Wednesday and I might actually not incur any extra costs as the sellers were able to work some things out on their end.

Darcy stated that Briere WON'T be traded. Golisano has caught the fever. This team is gonna be awesome.

Thanks to everyone for their support and to LabattBlue ... not the poster, but the beer. I needed this thread to spew out my anger. JimBob, thanks for the long post. I did actually build a network of people around me and not just those who were agent-recommeded. However, when all is said and done, I won't be dealing with any of these people again because I feel like they could done more to speed this matter up. It wasn't until my lawyer called me three weeks after they should have received a commitment letter that I released something was f-ed up with the bank. Now, my lawyer and agent just tell me to sit and hope for the best. I heard that three weeks ago from them as well. I spoke with my loan specialist today. The State of NY finally got back to her however -- this just keeps getting better by the day -- their computer system is down because of internal issues they are having in their building. They promise to send the final approval over as soon as they can get their system online. However, I'll know I'll be re-reading this post in two days and something else will still go wrong with SONYMA. This is what I get for committing to stay in the State of New York! You'd think they'd be itching to collect my hard earned money already.

Another Update: I'm physically and emotionally spent. This mortgage has sucked all the possible life out of my body. I called the family friend at HSBC Mortgage and the quickest they can turn around my process is 10 to 14 days. He said at this point, given the factors in my situation, to stick with Citi and have HSBC as a back-up plan. It turned out that my mom's best friend's neighbor is handles CitiMortgage here in WNY and my mom filled him in on the situation. He called me right away yesterday and got some answers for me. He, himself, said he had an incredibly hard time getting a hold of my loan specialist. He made some calls to the right people and he found out that they were very backed up and were reviewing my application yesterday and that the approval would be sent to Citi from NY State today. In the mean time, the sellers people are calling me and at this point I'm screwed six ways to Sunday. No matter what I do, I'm going to incur extra costs and that's the best case scenerio. The seller's new employer is only playing for temp housing and storage until Friday and apparently in Ohio, you can't move in early before closing. Needless to say, my loan specialist has no updates for me today. NY State simply never got back to them yet. This thing has turned my life into a freaking circus. If I didn't love this property so damn much I'd be saying f-it, it's not meant to be.

I think so. Max is a VERY shy individual and I think he likes being comfortable. That might have had a lot to do with it.
-
Year 1: $3.0 Year 2: $3.5 Year 3: $3.5 That my friends is a steal of a deal. Max would have received at or just under $4.0 in arbitration. I've been saying for the last few weeks but I fully expect the Sabres to flat out dominate the NHL this coming season. I don't see anyone hanging with them. BTW: How dare the Sabres make more good news during Bills training camp!

If someone shows me these 10 cities, I'm hoping my city isn't part of whatever reason they are listed together.

You had to figure this would happen sooner or later with Landry in charge of the SGC. The IOA probably pressued the US Government into moving the Gate into a more neutral location. Bottom line is O'Neil or Hammond would have never allowed it to go this far. Wait ... what the hell am I talking about?
-
So Adam, I do believe you said something back in January about the Sabres starting out 0-20. You still holding on to that prediction?
-
Here's more crap coming from WGR (aka Two Sabres Drive). Sabres re-signed Tim Connolly for three years. I can't believe they reported this on the day the Bills signed McCargo.

Thanks for the offer. I actually found out this weekend that my cousin knows the president of HSBC Mortgage pretty well. She seen him do favors for other people with similiar credit and funds and close them out within days. I didn't want to make that call because I was told my approval was imminent, however THAT call has just been made.

An update on my situation. My mortgage application passed two of the three approval processes. It's been at the final stage since last Thursday (I'm told) at SONYMA. Citi told me that they expediated the file and it will take 72 hours to get the approval. It's a week and day later and I've called everyday to check up. Normal SONYMA reviews last seven days at most. I received an e-mail from my loan specialist with mega attitude on Wednesday saying she STILL HASN'T heard anything among other snide comments. I haven't received an update from her since then. Today, after not getting any new news, I decided to call the manager who is now convienently on vacation until Tuesday. With my lawyers help, I have everything else finished for closing. I'm just waiting for my bank to call me back when it's convienent for them to. My lawyer said there is nothing I can do other than watch the bank "F" this process up even more. The lawyer has been calling the banks lawyer to find out from that angle. Meanwhile, I visited the sellers on Wednesday and brought over a bottle of wine to apologize for the delay. They were very nice and understanding. Luckly the guy's new company is paying for temporary housing until we're finally able to close.

Basically, everything in life boils down to money. WGR had probably it's greatest ratings ever the last few months thanks to the Sabres. People calling in want to talk Sabres. Training camp just became boring. Don't get my wrong, I love the Sabres and I love the Bills. I'm equally passionate about both, but 90% of my conversations with friends locally here in Buffalo are about the Sabres. No one really cares about the Bills right now. We don't expect anything from them this year and probably next year. The Sabres team -- however -- is everything Buffalo ever wanted. A bunch of no-names who made the city proud. The Sabres will be elitest in the NHL for many years to come. The Bills have been cellar dwellars for far too long. The Sabres haven't had season ticket sales like this since the 1970s. With mini-packs, they're going to have anywhere between 15,000 to 16,000 seats sold for every game before the season even starts. Most of us fully expect them to dominate this year. So that's why Sabres are the toast of the town. We'll all jump on that Bills bandwagon when it's worth jumping on. Finally, there were more people logged onto TSR yesterday than TBD. So maybe WGR isn't that crazy.

I guess you can include just about all the other local media outlets that posted the same thing yesterday after me before editting it off their sites. I don't know how anyone can watch that press conference and say "Yep, that was the planned press conference." So you are telling me the Sabres send out releases to the media to make sure they get down to HSBC Arena just so they can say the third jersey is the alternate? Everyone already knew that much. And then they say they don't have any samples available? Are you kidding me? Something changed their plans yesterday and my guess is someone higher up stepped in and nixed the unveiling to futher tweak the new uniforms.
