  1. My fiance came back from Cinny this week where she paided $1.94 and the highest was around $2.05. Man I wish that was the case in WNY. The best way to solve the economy: bring gas down to $1.00.
  2. I'm no football expert but Freddy Jackson seems as if he's been the better back this season on 1st and 2nd downs. Marshawn is money when the Bills are within 10 yards of the end zone but he seems to struggle for yards on 1st and 10. Freddy ALWAYS makes the first guy miss and I think that's why he'd be better in early down situations.
  3. You need to call the court where you are asked to appear and explain your situation. I'm not sure where you got your ticket but a lot of NY towns now have an easy process that you can go through if this is your first speeding ticket in a few years. Many courts will now send you a form where you can plead guility to non-moving violations, pay the fine ($100 to $150) and be done with it. This is only offered to people who have not had speeding tickets in the past few years. They usually require a copy of your driving record (driver's abstract) from your state's DMV
  4. Early in the game against a team you should beat, you take the points and by points I mean seven of them and not three. I agree with the poster, it sent the wrong signals to the team and I made a point of this in the GDT when it happened. I just didn't like the play when it happened. Worst case scenario, Miami starts on their 1/2 yard line.
  5. I don't know why the Bills didn't go for it on fourth down on their first position. Plus they got away from using Trent when they got in close. Overall the play calling is better this year but there are times each game where I think they still get too scared to take control of the game with a big play.
  6. Tim's a great writer and I won't deny that, but "we" come because the Bills are good. If the Bills were 1-5, I gotta feeling those numbers would be much different.
  7. 1980 must have been a heart-wrenching year for Buffalo sports fans. Both the Sabres and Bills were huge contenders to win their respective championships and both teams fell apart in the playoffs. Figures that I was born in 1980 and have suffered through 28 years of sports misery.
  8. No way does Trent sign a contract yet. He's on the cusp of becoming a super star and the best is yet to come. It would be in the Bills best interest to sign him today but probably not in Trent's. But if the Bills are sitting pretty in the standings in Week 12-13, that may be enough incentive for the them to make #5 very rich sooner rather than later.
  9. I'll put my money that Time Warner is behind this power outage. "If we can't show the game, no one can else will either!"
  10. I loved Journeyman. Kevin McKidd was great in that show. I was disappointed and pissed they canceled that. I don't like to watch new shows now because it seems like they get canceled left and right. Better to wait a season and then watch the full season DVD if it gets renewed.
  11. By no means would I blame this loss on JP as the defense looked like Swiss cheese today, but the fact of the matter is that JP isn't a capable NFL QB. If Edwards is down for any extended period of time now or at any point this season, this team doesn't stand a chance. A lot of people, including myself, felt that at least Losman would be a great insurance policy should anything ever happen to Trent but I think today proved otherwise. JP still has the same issues he's had since day one. He simply doesn't have "it" and he certainly doesn't fit the type of game the Bills want to play offensively. I would think it would be prudent for the Bills to seek out another veteran QB that's capable of stepping in and doing a much better job than JP running this offense. It might be crazy to say but I really feel Hamden could be better suited for our backup role that JP.
  12. I re-watched that play a few times already and it looked like everyone was lined up correctly. What the hell does "ineligible receiver covered up by an eligible receiver" mean?
  13. Kurt Warner has self-impoded yet again. The guy is a hell of a QB until he has that one game every couple years where he looks like he's straight out of High School.
  14. Yeah, I'd like to know too. What are the advantages of deferring the ball?
  15. 1. I never lost faith. This team reminds me of the Sabres of 2-3 years ago. Great young talent with good coaching. Things will only get better for this team. They learned a valuable lesson today without losing the game ... and that's huge! 2. Peters was terrible for 50 minutes today but he stepped it up big time when it mattered ... as did the entire team. He still doesn't deserve the big bucks until he plays like he cares for the entire game. 3. Can we somehow rub off some of Josh Reed's fire on Lee Evans. If Reed was as talented as Evans, he would be one of the best in the league. That guy is always fired up and comes to play every single down. 4. TRENT! That's two weeks in a row he led the team from the depths of defeat. The first three quarters were garbage, but he was absolutely amazing in the fourth. 5. I can't say enough about how awesome Marshawn and Freddy are at fighting for extra yards. Like Reed, they play balls to walls all game long. 6. The interception by Hall was a very iffy call but Lee's pass interference call was a terrible call. 7. Outside of that terrible TD in the fourth quarter, the defense was great today.
  16. TD UB! Earnest Jackson's third TD of the game for Buffalo. Missouri still up 27-21.
  17. Great job Peters! Let's give that overrated punk $10 million today!
  18. ^ - what he said. Vic is obviously a Bills fan.
  19. I said it here before, I'll say it again: McCain will whomp Obama on election day. Obama is running a great campaign but it won't even be close. The majority of Americans that don't fiddle in politics will simply go out on election day and vote for what's in their best interest and not what the media tells them. Let's face it, unless you are poor or an intellectual, voting conservative is in your best interest. As for polls, poll numbers over the past decade or so completely favor democrats because conservatives will not waste 10-15 minutes on the phone taking a stupid survey. So if polls are already showing McCain with a lead, that's a very bad thing for Obama.
  20. Whoa, does this mean that people didn't want to watch these two morons B word and moan about how supposedly horrible our country has become? Big shocker. That rant that Keith had a few months ago about GWB that liberals hailed him for was the worst and most biased piece of crap journalism I have ever seen. Say what you want about Fox News, but MSNBC made CNN look like a conservative network.
  21. We looked but the airfare from Buffalo isn't at a level that me and my lady would consider it worthwhile.
  22. I think it's fairly obvious the Bills didn't have Crowell in their long term plans. While no one can deny he's a better option than Ellison, whether or not he's that much more valuable is a totally different question. Ellison did what they asked of him and that was more than good enough. He didn't make any great plays that I remember but I know he didn't make any mistakes.
  23. I don't care who the QB is for NE, they will still easily handle Favre and the Jets.
  24. Has the OP been banned yet? This thread is just ridiculous and flat out blasphemous.
