Come the frack on! I was just starting to really love that show, just like Journeyman. As soons as it gets really interesting, they pull this sh-- on the viewers.

Everyone knows Atlantis is now sitting off the coast of San Francisco. You just can't see it cause it's cloaked. You have to be cool to understand.

Lets discuss the Obama Stimulus
PTS replied to drinkTHEkoolaid's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I told my liberal friends since day one that Obama will bring America down to our level. And that's bad for America. Maybe good for WNY? -
My fiancee met ESPN's Merril Hoge at a corporate function last August and after his speaking engagement she went up to him to ask him what he thought about the Bills chances that season. He pretty much dismissed her question, instead he couldn't stop talking about what a thug Marshawn Lynch is and how glad everyone at CAL was when he turned pro. He didn't deny he was a great running back but he said he's going to cause nothing but problems off the field. Something tells me this won't be the last time Lynch is in the news for all the wrong reasons.

Major Plane Crash in Clarence Center (50 dead)
PTS replied to PTS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I had such an experience back in 2000/2001 when I took in a late flight from Philadelphia. I was originally coming home from DC but my flight got cancelled because of a blizzard in WNY. They flew us to Philly instead where we were supposed to wait until the morning to get back home. While at the airport, I found out that there was only one flight going into Buffalo that night and it was out of Philadelphia. The flight was on a different airline however. I went to their ticket desk and asked to see if they had any room and how much it would cost. It was a huge Boeing jet that "needed" to get to Buffalo that night -- why I don't know -- and the lady said there were only 20-30 people on it. She said she'd give me a ticket if I really wanted to get back home. I did and boy was that an intersting flight. Each person had about 10 full rows to themselves. Upon arrival, it was beyond a white out when we were approaching. The wind was bad as well. Out of nowhere I see Walden Galleria Mall right outside of my window, and I mean right outside, not under us. I braced myself because I thought that was it right there. I knew we were way too low. As soon as that happened, the pilot got on the comm to tell everyone to hold on as he went full throtle and pulled up real hard. We flew around WNY for about an hour before coming in again for a much easier arrival. As for as your point, living in Clarence Center, we've noticed for years that planes are very low when they land at that point ESPECIALLY in bad, cloudy weather. There are times when it sounds like it's going to crash into us. -

Here's the ATC audio. The last response from the flight crew was at 16:07 into the file. No distress calls at all. http://archive-server.liveatc.net/kbuf/KBU...-2009-0300Z.mp3 -
Major Plane Crash in Clarence Center (50 dead)

I'm a little over a half a mile away from the crash site. The plane would have flew directly over my lot on it's way to the airport. I heard an extremely loud noise for 5-6 seconds. I thought it was a plane about to fly over us because they do get very loud when the sky is overcast like it was tonight. After those few seconds, it went silent. I thought it was strange as I was expecting the plane to fly over us but I didn't think anything of it since I didn't hear any secondary explosion-type sounds. Then the "parade" of Emergency vehicles rolled by and we figured something bad had happened. My fiance's mom called seconds later and said a small plane crashed. This is surreal. My lady is freaked out. A few more seconds and that could have been our house or one of my neighbors. It's just unbelieveable. -
I posted in the main forum. I live a half a mile away. I heard a strange noise at around 10:15. I cannot believe this.

I heard a strange loud noise outside and 10 minutes later my fiance's mother called and said a plane crashed near us. We can see the smoke and red sky right outside our back windows. There's nothing but fields between us and where the plane crashed. Flight 3407 originated from Newark. Reports are all 48 people on board are dead and at least one on the ground. Prayers go out to all families affected by this tragedy. Sad day in WNY. http://www.buffalonews.com/home/story/577959.html

I'd say if you pluck 10 of the biggest anti-soccer posters on TBD and put them in a World Cup game or any game in the EPL for that matter, eight of them would walk out of the stadium after 90 minutes wondering why the hell they hated the sport. The other two would be passed out drunk like any other Bills game. The key to soccer in America I think is the supporter/fans groups like Sam's Army. These groups are really starting to grow strong, even at the MLS level. It's nice that the USSF finally is doing something to promote this. I can't tell you how many people I've met over the past five years that came to a USMNT game because their friends made them. Now they are fans for life.

I'd say family but I have played and continue to play competively since as long as I remember. My dad's father was a decorated referee in Poland/Europe. My mom's dad played for a top-flight Polish team. My dad played for the old Buffalo Stallions. Soccer is in my blood.

Feilhaber is not on the roster. He completely fell off the radar after his incredible goal against Mexico in the 2007 Gold Cup Final as well as his stellar play in Copa America that year. He ran into injury and laziness issues and his play has suffered. In the meantime, a slew of new talent emerged to push Benny to the backburner.

Should be another great game between two bitter rivals. This will be my second USA-Mexico WCQ in person. Last one in '05 was great. This time around USSF alloted far more tickets to supporter groups like Sam's Army. They have asked fans to wear red which might be a challenge since the team's current kits don't include a red version. Although there are rumors based on the marketing Nike put out that a red jersey might make it's debut for this game. I don't doubt it will be a tough game but USA has had Mexico's number for the past decade. Mexico is banged up and USA should be primed to take advantage.

Best TV Show never to make it past Season 1
PTS replied to RayFinkle's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Ditto on Firefly. That was one helluva show and one interesting idea in mix sci-fi with western. At least we got a movie to end it properly. -
I would be willing to donate $100

Instead of a billboard, why not take out a full page ad in the newspaper? I think that would have a more profound effect. I'd definitely chip in for that. -
Big fracking deal. The loose change inside my car is worth more than the average home in Florida that hasn't been foreclosed yet.

Same here except I was "smart" enough to post that he would be the steal of the draft back in April. http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?s=&am...t&p=1024640 What do I win?

Taking account that fumble in the endzone last week, UB was literally three plays away from being 11-2 right now. They could have beat WMU. They should have beat CMU and KSU.

Nice job UB...Hell, I even like Turner Gill now.
PTS replied to Lv-Bills's topic in College Football
I would have agreed with you before but not after seeing another angle shown on SportsCenter after the game. It looked pretty clear that the ball was well outside of the cone when crossing the end zone. I'm pretty sure they changed the rule in recent years that the ball must be inside the cone before going out of bounds. -
Had UB won last week against Kent State, they very may well have been ranked after this week. That said, I didn't see last week's game but my guess is that they were prepping to play Ball State using Kent State as their testing grounds because Turner Gill's team played them perfectly.

SCOREBOARD READS: Willy 1, Davis 0. Drew Willy will get drafted. If you didn't think so before, you will now. Edit: ESPN Draft Expert has Willy going between 4th and 6th round. And that was before tonight's game.

Interesting Link: Bills Playoff Chances
PTS replied to billsfaninnyc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You can't look at tiebreakers now if we are assuming the Bills win out or go 4 of 5 while winning their three divisional games. If that happens the tiebreakers will be completely different than what we see today. Outside of catching the Jets, the Bills have a possibility of grabbing that final spot over the Ravens. Well as long as they don't revert back into Jauron football. We REALLY need the Broncos to do us a huge favor this week and bring the Jets within one game. -
The game won't be blacked out under any circumstance. The tickets were "sold" to Rogers when this deal was annoucned. It's up to Rogers to resell those tickets. As far as the NFL is concerned, all Toronto games are considered sold out as they got their money already. At least that's the way I've heard it explained months ago.

Biggest WIN in UB Football history Friday 11/21/08
PTS replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in Off the Wall Archives
It sucks that WNY doesn't have a regional sports network. I wish these games would be shown for all to see. The locker room is absolutely NUTS right now. I never thought this day would come. -

It's been said that NFL scouts are quite high on Drew Willy and that he'll very likely get drafted this year. Starks and Roosevelt will definitely get drafted just on their raw talent.
