If The Bills Where To Move To The NFC
PTS replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
NFC West? I love it. Why relocate the team to Toronto when we can just relocate the entire city out West. I'm thinking somewhere on the coast of Central or Northern California. This looks like a good spot! -
Really? I'm guessing much of that $400k is diamonds and those definitely don't lose value.

dicks's new look was the key to the game
PTS replied to Robert Paulson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dick needs to eat something, he looks too thin. -
Two things from the game... 1. Although I pretty much already knew this, Roosevelt will be playing big time ball on Sunday. He's easily in the Top 5 college WRs. 2. This is not Turner Gill football. Penalties and turnovers are the only thing that has kept the Bulls from being 3-0. That said, it is a very young team outside of the WRs. I hope as this team matures, they find some good WRs to replace Naaman because he can beat a team on his own. In the meanwhile, the goal has to turn to winning the MAC which they should be in the running for.

TG Ranks AFC East Stadiums.

I'm gonna disagree with that one. I personally think RWS is far from good when it comes to the views from the seats, especially if your eyes suck like mine now do. If you've ever been to a game at Soldier Field, there is no comparison. I would argue the worst seat at Soldier Field is almost as good as the best seats at RWS. Ralph's seating is too spread out. -
Well said my friend. I'm sure the Players Union got on Leo but the best thing here is to make it go away. This could get a lot uglier for the Bills/NFL players. What are the kids going to do? Community service? That's pretty much what NFL players do for serious felonies they get away with.

Why do I always have a hard time remembering that game? I simply have no recollection of it. What happened in this game?

GAME THREAD: Pitt vs UB Sat 9/12 @ 12 NOON
PTS replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in Off the Wall Archives
This much is clear at halftime, if James Starks was playing, I think UB is winning this game. Mario Henry was good before he got injured last year but fumbling twice inside your own 10 yard line is unacceptable. Still a lot of time to go but those 14 points I think will be the difference. Why can't Starks get an exemption so he can play next year. I thought the NCAA always did that for injured seniors, or maybe it's just for those in big conferences? -
Thanks everyone for the tips. Some real good stuff here. DrDankenstein: why did you doubt the quality of the TBD community!?! Sure I could go to one of a million Hawaii travel message boards but I feel the answers I get here are far more honest and less biased.

Princeville is the North part of the Island. We're staying at the Grand Hyatt on the South part.

Actually, it's 2 nights + 6 nights + 6 nights = 15 days. We get there before 2pm on Monday so it's like an extra day and our flight home is at 9pm.

Taking the commitment plunge on Saturday and heading off to Hawaii for 16 days starting Monday. Two nights on Oahu, six on Maui and six on Kauai. There's about a billion sites out there with information overload on what to do. Anyone got any personal experience they'd like to share? The only definite right now is that we are doing the road to Hana on Maui. We're staying at the Marriott on Waikiki, the Ritz in Kapalua and the Grand Hyatt in Koloa.

Re-imaging? How can you re-image the BEST show ever? This is going to be a disaster. There is not one second in the five seasons of BSG that needs any sort of re-imaging.

So why was Donovan so slow in the second half? He was diagnosed with the Swine Flu after the game. http://www.fannation.com/si_blogs/grant_wa...-h1n1-flu-virus

Didn't you hear, Landycakes is no more. The guy has been on a tear since the Confed Cup and since calling out Sir Beckham. Yeah, he got outrun on that goal but the whole team looked like it hit a wall halfway through the 2nd half. As expected, the officiating was absolutely one-sided. US got yellow cards for breathing on Mexican players and the only Mexican player to get a card had to choke a player to do so. Not to mention the first goal should have never been if they call the blantant shirt tug that directly caused Donovan to lose the ball in the middle of the field.

It might take some channel searching, but the game will be on for just about everyone.

Somehow, Telemundo (NBC Universal) got the sole rights to broadcast all Mexican National soccer games that take place IN Mexico. ESPN tried to buy the English broadcast rights but NBC Universal wouldn't budge. I'm actually surprised they didn't move the game to NBC since it's in the middle of the day and the ratings for the national team have been better than ever. Apparently mun2 is an up and coming channel in the Spanish-speaking community and they are trying to pimp it with this game. You also gotta love how El Tri made this game during the hottest part of the day in that smog-infested capital city of theirs. As for the game itself, I think this is the year that Azteca crumbles. I really really like the US roster heading into this game. Donovan has been playing lights-out since the Confed Cup. Tim Howard is one of the best keepers in the world. Should be a great game.

You should be getting paid by UB for all the promoting you do for them! I'm very excited and definitely thinking about grabbing some season tickets this year. I gotta say, if Maynard is halfway decent at QB, UB could have a better season than they did last year. Starks and Roosevelt are good enough to start on 95% of the teams in the NCAA; those two should dominate the MAC this season on offense. The defense has to be better than they were last season. Now add into the mix the best recruiting class UB's ever had and this could be the making of a MAC powerhouse. I can't believe how many good recruits Turner Gill pulled out of Florida and Texas. I believe they already have four top recruits committed for next year as well. The most by far for UB at this point of the year. I knew Gill was good at recruiting but WOW that's an understatement. I hope we can keep him around for at least two more seasons but I know that might be asking too much.

My best goal was for St. Francis High School in sudden death of our championship game in 1998 ... for the right to go to the state semi-finals. With about two minutes left in OT, I had the ball about 10 yards out from the corner of the 18 yard box. I saw the goalie was off his line and I placed a perfect bending ball just over his reach and into the top corner to win the game. Best part is I have a VHS tape of the goal from Channel 4 News. The problem is I don't have a VCR to watch it again!

How is this different than any other sport? Isn't the Rose Bowl more prestigious than the International Bowl? The BIG 10 more prestigious than the WAC? The Stanley Cup more prestigious than the Presidents' Trophy.

FIFA Tournaments in order of Prestige: 1. World Cup: Every four years. Obviously the biggest sporting event in the world. 2: Euros: Played every four years in between World Cups. It's Europe's World Cup and considered to be the second biggest sporting event in the world. 3. Confederations Cup: Played one year before the next World Cup. It's really a "dry-run" for the host nation but this tournament is definitely important. To qualify you must win your region's last Cup tournament. 4: Copa America: Now played every four years, one year after the World Cup. It's South America's main tournament. 5. Asian Cup: Like the Euros, played every four years in between World Cups. 6: African Nations Cup: Played every two years. Right after the World Cup and two years after. The one that matters is the one in between the World Cup. 7. Gold Cup: North American's main tournament played every two years (one year after the World Cup and one year before). The one that matters is the one right after the World Cup as the winner goes to the Confederations Cup as CONCACAF representative. FIFA is begging CONCACAF to run the tournament every four years so that it's not always a joke, but the CONCACAF organization is a joke. They play it every two years in the USA to make lots of money from Mexican Americans. This year's Gold Cup was the one in the cycle that doesn't matter, which is why USA's team was their third string team. 8: Oceania Cup: It's the Pacific Islands regional cup and it's on par with your local high school soccer team. Seriously. No matter what, New Zealand wins 15-0 in every game.

What a great performance! I don't like that US hunkered down after taking the lead. They still have this confidence issue against world powers. When they stay aggressive, they can play with the best. As for the red card, it was a total BS call that has a good chance of being overturned I think. The fact that they never showed the replay again pretty much means it was a major f-up by the ref. He pretty much had his hand in his pocket before the guy even fell. Remember, this is the same ref that screwed the US over against Italy in the 2006 World Cup, sending two players off with red cards in the first half alone and waving off a go-ahead goal.
