  1. LOL I must edit that! I took him already Bro! @Draconatoris on the clock
  2. I am going to step outside of the SEC for this pick LOL! The Patriots select Cade Otton - TE - University of Washington. I did so because on video, I like the way he reaches for passes that are not thrown right at him and brings them in. He also looked good at making plays in or near the endzone. So, in this draft, picking in the 20s, we were able to bring in: Treylon Burks - A big, solid receiver who is hard to cover, and has good hands. Darian Kinnard - A very well coached player who was a good OT in college and now projects to guard. Cade Otton - A solid looking TE who would seem to have a decent ceiling and a not so low floor. I feel lucky that all three of these players were still there when I picked. I also hope that this scenario doesn't play out because it would be a big boost to the Patriots. Thanks to Virgil and all participants. 👍 @Draconatoris on the clock.
  3. Peters was with the Giants initially.
  4. 😁 Was Colin Brown as bad as Marcus Spriggs? I thought Spriggs was the worst guard ever. I don't think that he ever completed a successful block lol!
  5. A close friend of mine met Kent Hull in Vegas after one of the Super Bowls against Dallas. He had a few drinks with him; I saw the pictures. He claims that Hull told him that he couldn't do anything vs. Leon Lett and that Lett was just too big and strong. This is not to say that Hull wasn't a very good player. He was, but the game was rapidly changing in terms of size back then.
  6. Correct. It was an idiotic pick to run away from a HOF QB to draft a corner.
  7. Some people really do enjoy pain. https://www.dictionary.com/browse/masochism
  8. I want to help you. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stockholm_syndrome
  9. I had a very high grade on Dak as well. The reason he dropped was because he got a DUI shortly before the draft. I remember countless people defending him, saying that he was really not prone to this sort of behavior. I REALLY wanted the Bills to grab him early. Instead, we waited and grabbed the great Cardale Jones.
  10. I wonder what Marcus Spriggs is up to? Should we change the subject and discuss Terrence Pennington?
  11. Yep. Have a wonderful day.
  12. There were bells on a hill But I never heard them ringing No, I never heard them at all 'Til there was you There were birds in the sky But I never saw them winging No, I never saw them at all 'Til there was you
  13. http://www.drafthistory.com/index.php/years/2013 http://www.drafthistory.com/index.php/years/2017 I am thinking that 2013 was worse, but I'm willing to listen to reason. Agree 100%!!!
  14. Nice pick. He played inside on a very complicated defense and is a clutch player.
  15. I think that it shows what I have said numerous times. This is the worst draft since the one with EJ Manuel. In any case, the Eagles kicked ass imo.
  16. You obviously don't know half of the story or more likely, refuse to recognize the truth. Your pointless quip about "half of the riders being alive' is utterly ridiculous. Are you making a claim that the crime rates are not WAY up? Are you tring to make any point at all or just peddle an ideology? You make it sound as if Long Island is a low income area. It isn't, nor is it unusual to pay in the area of $15K in property tax for a small cape. And btw, the people leaving the city are not your blue collar working class. They are mostly rich white people who send their kiddies to segregated private schools for 40 or 50K per year, per child. So, they can easily plunk down a cool million dollars for a house and pay 30K in property tax and come out way ahead, especially if they have multiple kids. And like you said, the opportunity to work remote changes things. It saves them the HUGE expense of the Long Island Railroad and the dangers of the subway system. As annoying as some of these above mentioned folks can be, they are the tax base. The city is in big trouble but as I said, it has bounced back before.
  17. Lilac rain, unbroken chain Song of the saw-whet owl Out on the mountain, it'll drive you insane Listening to the winds howl Unbroken chain of sorrow and pearls Unbroken chain of sky and sea Unbroken chain of the western wind Unbroken chain of you and me
  18. In this world I'm living in, I see the light Sins are gone, now I know what is wrong and right Morning came on slowly, pushing back the night It's good times now that I can see the light On this road I'm walking, on I see my way Paradise I'm living for each and every day 'Bout the crossroads of the past, nothing more to say It's good times now but we can see our way
  19. I did mean Peters. Thanks for the correction.
  20. Sorry that I stole Kinnard in this round. He would be a superb fit for the Bills imo.
  21. How would you feel about trading down and picking up a #1 for 2023 in the process?
  22. I don't follow every blocker on every team so I will point to 2 more with the Bills. In 2001, we drafted Jonas Jennings in round 3 from UGA. In college he played at center and guard, as well as some time at tackle. He started at RT for the Bills and was surprisingly good to the extent that they moved him to LT where he also stood out, to the extent that the 49ers signed him to a huge (for that time period) contract. His career was then cut short by assorted serious injuries, In 2004, we signed a player named Jason Peters from the Giants Practice Squad. where he was coached by Jumbo Elliot. Mr. Elliot noticed his unusual strength and had a hand in his being moved to tackle. How do I know this? Because Jumbo told me this in person. The Bills moved him to RT where he was a flat out monster and then to LT, where he was the best player on the team and STILL is doing well in 2022. Do note that we let both of these players leave, which does account to an extent for my aversion to the ways that the Bills typically draft. As I said, I am unable to account for every tackle on every team. I also happen to think that you are a good poster. I have no quarrel with you, nor do I wish to engage you in some silly arguement. Peace.
  23. Albert was drafted in 2008 after having never played OT an UVA. He played 9 years in the NFL through the 2016 season and was voted to the Pro Bowl in 2013 and 2015. The rule changes that greatly impacted the NFL took place in 2010. Do you really not consider this "modern" or was your post just a lead in to a joke that was marginally funny at best?
