The Allen-Diggs Relationship in Decline?
Bill from NYC replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall
Let's not forget the other draft picks that we had to throw in to get rid of him. >>>The Buffalo Bills traded four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans for draft pick compensation Wednesday. The Bills received a 2025 second-round pick (via the Minnesota Vikings) in exchange for Diggs, a 2024 sixth-round pick (No. 189 overall) and a 2025 fifth-round selection.<<< -

He has a point to some degree, but the LT is more important than the RT because of the blind side, and playing LT does require more agility. That said, Anderson was a great player. There are other cases to point out. Erik Williams was one of the best football players that I have ever seen. He was the best blocker on one of the top two or 3 offensive lines of all time, if not THE best. He had a famous game in which he neutralized Reggie White. The man provideded with Aikman tremendous protection, ond opened up huge holes for Emmitt Smith. Erik is not in the HOF, probably due to a DUI and a domestic arrest for assault. These would seem to be very good reasons to exclude him but I for one have never seen a better RT. It was as if they had an Orlando Pace playing the right side, and he played a HUGE part in the Cowboy's success in those days. Of course, jmo.

In the songs I've been singing, quite often a phrase Comes close to the feeling of you But I never suspected that one of those days The wish of a song would come true You love for real, you show the feel Of everything that touches you

Sitting in a transit all night long Playing clubs and rocking right on The road's much too long since I've been wasting my time Wish I was home again sipping my wine And I'm gone, gone, gone, I don't care Cause I'm gone, gone, gone, I don't care It's where I'm from, I'm on the road againf

Well I taught that weeping willow how to cry cry cry, Taught the clouds how to cover up a clear blue sky. Tears I cried for that woman are gonna flood you big river, And I'm a gonna sit right here until I die. I met her accidentally in St. Paul, Minnesota, She tore me up everything I heard her drawl, that southern drawl. Well I heard my dream went back downstream, cavortin' in Davenport, And I follow you big river when you called.

Lamar Jackson sent home sick with illness

It is, and so is the flu. Suddenly we have numerous cases of summer flu which isn't really that common. -
That is great. You are certainly entitled to this opinion. I'm not trying to force you to accept mine. I will however say that there are examples of coaches having the final say in the draft. Pete Carroll, Belichick, and Parcells come to mind. Tell me, do you think that Beane and McDermott have 100% equal authority to make a draft selection? Obviously this would seem impossible. If one of them does have more power (even if it is 51% - 49%) who would you think could make the final decision?
-
And you know this exaclly how? Does Beane have scouting experience. Was McDermott a DC? When McDermott traded the Mahomes pick (for a scant return) and drafted a corner, Beane was not employed by the Bills. This was a sign of things to come. Would you have time to admit your many errors? And btw, someone is not necessarily wrong because they disagree with you. Did this ever occur to you?
-
Well, maybe we should also remember that McDermott traded out of round one to draft Coleman. He traded UP for Elam and Edmunds, this after trading away the Mahomes pick in order to draft a cornerback. Everybody is 100% entitled to his or her opinion, but it is certainly a reach to believe that McDermott does NOT care more about defense than he does about offense, this on a team with the GREAT Josh Allen.
-
Cowherd NAILED it!!! Josh lacks the coaching or team builder that Mahomes has. Reid and the GM know how to build a team around a great QB, whereas McDermott is more concerned with defense. Josh Allen is a GREAT, HOF level QB. If McDermott doesn't drastically improve he should be tossed out of Orchard Park. He has an utterly fantastic QB and consistently fails to maximize and prolong his talent.

I don't mind when you say That you're going away I just don't want to be lonely And I don't care if you share Only moments a day I just don't want to be lonely I'd rather be loved and needed Depended on to give a love I can't give When you're gone, when you're gone I just don't want to be lonely I'd just rather be loved

Why does it bother you that the man has many children. I have a hunch that he can support them. Which is your stronger motivation, jealousy or bitterness? -
Like a snowball rolling down the side of a snow covered hill, it's growing Like the size of a fish that the man claims broke his reel, it's growing Like a rosebud blooming in the warm of the summer sun, it's growing Like the tale by the time it's been told by more than one, woo, it's growing Everyday it grows a little more than it was the day before My love for you just grows and grows Oh, how it grows and grows And where it's gonna stop I'm sure, nobody knows
-
How can you just walk away from me When all I can do is watch you leave? 'Cause we've shared the laughter and the pain And even shared the tears You're the only one, who really knew me at all

Great post! Another WR who had the talent but lacks the stats was Isaac Curtis. They had to change a rule for players to cover him. Curtis ran a 9.3 40 and had great hands. Injuries, the era he played in, and his team (Bengals) did not help his chances. The fact that Otis Taylor has never been voted in is a disgrace imo.
