  1. I was thinking more of a 1st round ILB. So what if you can get good ones in the middle rounds, let's trade up to get one!!! Yes, and they were both 1st rounders to play in a zone. One he drafted after snubbing his nose at Patrick Mahomes. The other he traded up for. Utterly shameful and waaaaayyyyy above league average. 😉 I do however get your point. This year I expect a 1st round safety because we "need" one.
  2. This happened once before When I came to your door No reply They said it wasn't you But I saw you peep through Your window I saw the light I saw the light I know that you saw me 'Cause I looked up to see Your face
  3. Well my mind is goin' through them changes I think i'm goin' out of my mind Every time you see me goin' some where I think I could commit a crime She had me runnin' She had me cryin' She had me runnin' She had me had me had me cryin'
  4. OK, sure. I am guessing that cap hits can be spread out with guards as well, no? Either way, we need blocking more than we need Edmunds imo.
  5. Sark is an offensive genius imo. I wish that he was staying in the Big 12.
  6. He is probably asking 20 million per season. I am missing your point.
  7. Maybe we can get a really good guard for half of the money Edmunds wants or even less.
  8. So I give you my eyes, and all of their lies Please help them to learn as well as to see Capture a glance and make it a dance Of looking at you looking at me The black-throated wind keeps on pouring in With its words of a lie that could almost be true Ah Mother American Night, here comes the light I'm turning around, that's what I'm gonna do Goin' back home that's what I'm gonna do
  9. I've got an answer I'm going to fly away What have I got to lose? Will you come see me Thursdays and Saturdays? (Hey, hey, hey) What have you got to lose? Chestnut brown canary Ruby throated sparrow Sing a song, don't be long Thrill me to the marrow
  10. You keep your distance via the system of touch And gentle persuasion I'm lost in admiration, could I need you this much? Oh, you're wasting my time You're just, just, just wasting time Something happens and I'm head over heels I never find out until I'm head over heels Something happens and I'm head over heels Ah, don't take my heart, don't break my heart Don't, don't, don't throw it away
  11. Easily the most beautiful woman to ever grace this planet. I saw her in person when she was in her mid 40's. She was looking SO good that my forehead started sweating and I couldn't move my knees. She must have noticed because she actually gave me a big wink but when she turned around to walk away, she (and her bodyguards) were laughing at me. RIP to a legend, the very picture of pure beauty.
  12. I don't want to draft a safety early but as an Alabama Fan who watches every game, I think that Brian Branch is a better player than Battle. Battle is bigger and stronger than Branch but the quality of his play diminished last season. He is good mind you but Branch excels at every phase of the position. He even reminds me a bit of Poyer. Jmo.
  13. Yet another example of you being dismissive of great coaches. You called Saban a "JAG" in the NFL in spite the team's refusal to bring in Drew Brees, and the things he accomplished as the DC on the Cleveland Browns. Now it is Sark's turn in the barrel. So be it. He will probably never return to the NFL because the the enormous salaries being paid now to college head coaches. It is easier to coach in the NFL than in college imo, especially now due to NIL. That said, I am guessing that many NFL teams would be glad to hire Sark. If you don't believe me, ask Brian Daboll, Kirby Smart, Lane Kiffen, or one of the other coaches who had their careers saved by Saban. and are now multi-millionaires.
  14. You raise a great point Promo but the NFL really is a QB driven league. I honestly believe that if Josh Allen was the QB of the Eagles, they would be so good that it's hard for me to visualize them ever losing a game. I am fan of Hurts. There are many wonderful things to say about the man. He is a good passer, a great runner, and NEVER loses his cool. That said, I wouldn't place him in that elite class, at least not yet. He has the best roster in the NFL (imo) and still fell just a tad short to a HOF QB (and a HOF TE). Call me crazy but I think that Josh is as great as Mahomes, or at least VERY VERY close. To not surround him with great weapons and much more blocking is criminal. How much were we thinking about cornerbacks last night? The Chiefs would have crushed our defense which despite McDermott's love, isn't nearly as good as the Philly defense. Not even close. In any event, the OP is correct. I too long for the days of the Steel Curtain, etc. but until I see differntly; those days are gone. Again, we absolutely MUST get Josh more protection and weapons. There is no rational alternative. As always, jmo.
  15. In oh so many ways (My independ-) my independence seems to vanish in the haze (But) but every now and then (now and then) I feel so insecure (I know that I) I know that I just need you like I've never done before Help me if you can, I'm feeling down And I do appreciate you being 'round Help me get my feet back on the ground Won't you please, please help me
  16. Sad, but there is a realistic possibility of this happening.
  17. I like Gibbs but like any other back, he needs blocking. I think that he will be gone by the mid second round because he can also catch. What do you think?
  18. Absolutely! Players such as Erik Williams and Leon Lett were unstoppable. Emmit Smith ran behind one of the best offensive lines of all time and their passing game was also great.
  19. I too would make OL the top priority. I have been posting as much for more than 20 years.
  20. I hear what you are saying but I want us to draft both. If it means trading down to do so, so be it.
  21. I agree but I appreciate Yolo.
  22. Yes, by far. The Bills Team that lost wide right was clearly superior to the Giants. They were outcoached. Our coaches just did not rate with Parcells and Bellichick. Period. This will be on of my few posts where I do not add "jmo." Minnesota was beat by a fairly good to big margin in every Super Bowl except when Pittsburgh beat them 16-6. That said, the Vikes could not move the ball and were overmatched against the Steel Curtain.
  23. … Stand up in a clear blue morning Until you see what can be Alone in a cold day dawning Are you still free? Can you be? … When some cold tomorrow finds you When some sad old dream reminds you How the endless road unwinds you … While you see a chance, take it Find romance, fake it Because it's all on you
  24. It is only a matter of time before Sarkisian builds a high quality team in Texas. I think that he is the best offensive mind in all of football. When Saban retires I hope that Sark coaches the Crimson Tide. As always, jmo.
