Otis was a GREAT receiver. I cannot believe that he is not in the HOF.

One thing Jeudy is great at is getting open. He runs nice routes and is really good at every phase of his position. I am sure that Josh would find him open all over the field and toss him touchdown passes.

Only you know and I know All the love that we've got to show So don't refuse to believe it By reading too many meanings Cause you know that I mean what I say So don't go and ever take me the wrong way You know you can't go on gettin' your own way Cause if you do it's gonna get you someday

Drafting Has Been A Problem For Decades
Bill from NYC replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall
Right. 2017 was great. We didn't need Patrick Mahomes. What we did need was the 8th defensive back selected in that draft. -
IF the Bills did trade down, Who would you like?
Bill from NYC replied to ghostwriter's topic in The Stadium Wall
If the Bills trade down, I would hope to receive a pick in 2024 in addition to another pick in year's draft. -
Eric Wood/ Last Bills Oline drafted in 1st round/2009
Bill from NYC replied to Figster's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes and they acquired this pick by trading away a certain future first ballot HOF Left tackle, who was the best player on the team. The Bills never really cared a whole hell of alot about blocking. -
I have a friend I've never seen He hides his head inside a dream Someone should call him and see If he can come out Try to lose the down that he's found But only love can break your heart Try to be sure right from the start Yes, only love can break your heart What if your world should fall apart?

Has a woman ever wanted to leave you for working too much ?
Bill from NYC replied to Teddy KGB's topic in Off the Wall
I don't believe this happens frequently. In fact, I would dare to say almost never. My guess is that if she uses this as a reason there are almost definitely other far more serious reasons, or at least 1. Jmo. OK but is she an Oklahoma State Fan? -

I totally agree. Money doesn't change people. It makes you more of what you already are more often than not. -

True. Let us not have any pre-conceived notions that Mixon is a scumbag. -
Is there any defensive player you'd be happy with at pick 27?
Bill from NYC replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Drafting Bijan would be something that Ralph Wilson would have demanded. Players like this thrilled Mr. Wilson because they put "fannies in the seats.' Remember, Ralph needed the ticket/concession income more than most owners. Bijan would make some great runs because of his talent if the OL could give him occasional running room. Then, fans would see this and say he is "good" or even "great." They would rationalize the pick but it probably would not result in so many wins due to the 2010 rule chages and once again, the OL. Despite my blatant pessimism, I continue to watch the draft every year, just hoping for a good one. I don't get as upset as I used to. TSW posters would call me on the phone just to hear my stream of intense vulgarity after for instance the Leodis McKelvin pick lol. Now it's all good. I just continue to hope that we don't repeat the same dumb, costly mistakes. -

Bill from NYC replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Robinson probably is the real deal. That said, how far will he be able to go behind the Bills OL? Derrick Henry certainly is the real deal and he needs room to go downhill and overpower defenders. For decades, the Bills have built their team ass backwards. Now we have the best QB in the history of the franchise and still McDermott just refuses to dedicate the resources needed to protect him, let alone provide him with ample weapons at WR. Now, will this be the year that McDermott goes all out on blockers and receivers? I don't know. Who knows if he will be able to resist secondary and undersized DTs? -

Bill from NYC replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
LOL!!!!! I agree that this is a VERY weak draft, perhaps the worst I have seen in many years. Often (not always) these "RT only" types can also play guard. I agree that #27 is almost always a tad early too draft a guard, UNLESS one was there who I would consider to be a great guard. In 2021, I was screaming for the Bills to draft Landon Dickerson (C). We picked at #30 and selected Rousseau who is good. The Eagles drafted Dickerson and moved to him LG where he looks superb. I wish that he was on the Bills protecting Josh. If we draft a corner who is as good as all time greats Darrelle Revis or Mel Blount in their respective primes, Josh is still gonna need more blocking or his career will be cut short, and there is no getting around this sad truth. -
That's about right. Why protect Josh Allen when there are DBs to be had?

Potential Number 1 pick Jalen Carter Arrest Warrant
Bill from NYC replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
Do we know if Oliver was showing any signs of being intox? One problem with being a police officer is that in most situations, unlike others, you cannot just drive away. If he showed any sign(s) at all of being intox on any substance and they allowed him to be on his way, who do you think would be blamed if he got into an accident down the road and injured or killed someone or even himself? Many sports fans labor under the misconception that police officers relish the opportunity to confront athletes. I could never understand this line of thinking. Oliver (as is the case with most football players) is a genetic mutant. If he decides to resist, the only way to stop him would be the use of some very serious force, that is if you don't want to get killed. I will not name them but I came in contact with a few NFL players in similar situations. One was a DE; one an OT. Both were famous. Trust me, I have never met the police officer who wanted to get into a physical confrontation with them, or a prolonged court case with their lawyers. All I am really trying to get across is that you are correct. The arrest was not necessarily wrongful because the arrestee was released without being charged. -

Potential Number 1 pick Jalen Carter Arrest Warrant
Bill from NYC replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wronfully arrested? The police received a call that his vehicle could not maintain it's lane. Oliver had an open alcohol container between his legs and a loaded firearm in the car. Apparently the chances were great that he was high on a different intoxicant than alcohol, one that he was not tested for. His bloood tested clean for alcohol and the charges were dismissed but I would hardly classify this as a wrongful arrest. What is your basis for saying "wrongfully arrested?" Are you making this a racial issue? I really fail to understand where you are going with this.
