  1. Almost???? They are already second rate compared to the SEC and Big 10. Did you see what Georgia (and now Colorado lol) did to TCU? Did you see what a below their normal standard Alabama team did to Kansas State? Dabo is very smart not to bring Clemson into the SEC. He has a very deep team every season. They only play 1 or perhaps 2 high quality teams per season. He gets to rest all of his starters and keep them fresh. If one of the starters does get injured, he will be replaced by an experienced backup. With the 12 team playoffs looming, teams will automatically get playoff spots for winning their weak conferences, including the virtually non-existant PAC 12. Do you think that this is fair?
  2. Tell me the cost; I can pay, let me go, tell me love is not lost. Sell everything; without love day to day insanity's king. I will pay day by day, anyway, lock bolt and key. Crippled but free, I was blind all the time I was learning to see. Help on the way, well I know only this, I've got you today. Don't fly away, cause I love what I love and I want it that way. I will stay one more day, like I say, honey it's you. Making it too, without love in a dream it will never come true
  3. Bingo!!! Iirc, Hank Aaron smoked cigarettes. Genetics definitely do play a roll. I have not a clue about how, or how much Josh Allen works out. Whatever he is doing or not doing, the man is a super specimen. He is as strong as an ox, lightning fast, leaps over people, and can probably throw a football more than 80 yards, perhaps even without much strain. Lots of players can do SOME of these things. Bledsoe had similar arm strength to Josh for example but he was not agile and couldn't run. I could name many other QBs who fit that description. Didn't Allen grow up on and work in a farm? People like that must gain strength early on as well (in addition to genetics). Bryce Paup didn't have rippling muscles, but remember how strong he was? He would move offensive liemen away by extending his arms. He grew up on a farm in Iowa. I agree 100% that when they age, athletes must make certain changes to slow down the inevitable ageing process. In fact, we all should make these changes to do so. That said, I am not worried about Josh in that sense. At least not yet.
  4. I have been critical of dumb moves over the years but that does NOT make me less of a fan. I bet the Bills to win the Super Bowl this season and I think it is quite possible with a break or two!
  5. Great post! On any fan message board there will certainly be fans that dwell mostly on the negative. And as you say, the other extreme is equally (if not slightly more) annoying. The problem with both of these extremes imo it it often renders posters like this incapable of an original thought. There are still posters who think that the Jason Peters trade was good. A few might even think that Donte Whitner was a good draft pick. It's all good. In the end we are all Bills fans and we deal with the pleasure and the pain in our own ways.
  6. I KNEW that the OP wouldn't sit well with you. 😁😁😁
  7. Why drink the water from my hand? Contagious as you think I am Just tilt my sun towards your domain Your cup runneth over again Don't scream about, don't think aloud Turn your head now, baby, just spit me out Don't worry 'bout, don't speak of doubt Turn your head now, baby, just spit me out
  8. Yes but I don't think this would help much. I hope that in the future some sort of test becomes available.
  9. Enough for what? If there is a passenger in the car, couldn't a driver claim that it was said passenger who was smoking the weed? To many jurors, this would certainly constitute a "reasonable doubt," despite the testimony of a police officer who claimed to smell marijuana, wouldn't you say? Many DAs are refusing to set bail for or even prosecute a host of crimes these days, especially in the boroughs of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Bronx. They are not going to bother pot smokers. The governments wanted it to be legalized so they can reap tax dollars from it, just like gambling, etc. I can understand it to a certain degree but meanwhile, the roads are chock full of drivers that are stoned out on weed.
  10. Gotta find a woman be good to me Won't hide my liquor try to serve me tea Cause I'm a stone jack baller and my heart is true And I'll give everything that I got to you, yes I will Easy wind Going cross the Bayou today There's a whole lotta women Out on the streets in red today And the river keep a talkin' But you never heard a word it said
  11. I hear ya. I'm a skeptic by nature and even have a hard time believing in supposedly organic fruit.
  12. And I'm sure that there will not be any time soon because the government wants the tax dollars. That said,at some point they will fund studies to say how bad it is and so they will have an excuse to raise taxes even higher, much like they did with tobacco. I am not pro-tobacco. I wish that everyone would quit smoking today (although the government doesn't want to lose the tax dollars) but; I never did believe the government funded studies that prattle on about 3rd or 4th hand smoke. Jmo.
  13. Well, farmers use them for tobacco. I am under the impression that they cause cancer. If they are used to grow tobacco, why should I believe that farmers won't use them to grow weed? I grow vegetables without them. If I was growing weed I would not spray the plants with pesticides. Now, do all weed farmers use them? I don't know. Do you? Btw, please don't take my post as being snide. I was a cigarette smoker until 8 years ago, so my body certainly took in enough poisonous substances.
  14. So I went to the corner Just to ease my pains Just to ease my pains I got troubles, whoa-oh I got worries, whoa-oh I came home again But I woke up this morning You were on my mind... And You were on my mind
  15. Pesticides? Really, right?
  16. Drove from Paris to the Amsterdam Hilton Talking in our beds for a week The newspapers said, "Say what you doing in bed?" I said, "We're only trying to get us some peace"
  17. I can't say that I blame you. I doubt if you are spraying pesticides up there, and your future seeds would appear to be at least somewhat more safe than those laced with pesticides. That said, I make no claim of being an expert.
  18. Speaking of consequences, are they using pesticides on weed? My guess is yes. If so, how will the dangers compare to those of cigarettes?
  19. I had to lay such a tender trap Hoping you might fall into it Love hit me like a sudden slap One kiss and then I knew it Oh, my plans didn't work out like I thought 'Cause I had laid my trap for you but it seems like I got caught What's this whole world comin' to Things just ain't the same Any time the hunter gets captured by the game
  20. You see, I can't understand why Beane gets the lion's share of the blame. I just don't get it. In my line of work, there was always 1 person with the most authority. There wasn't really an "open door policy," nor "rule by committee" back then but I digress. McDermott was hired before Beane and there is no reason to believe that Beane was not brought in by his insistence, or at least request. We all know what McDermott did in the draft before Beane even arrived in town. It was disgraceful. Our drafts have been too focused on defense and negligent of the OL and WR positions ever since. Where are the fingers pointing at McDermott? Again, who has the final say? What I have seen in my work life on occasion was big bosses making very dumb decisions. One was REALLY stupid and cost unnecessary injuries and bad blood. He blamed an underling, who got in trouble. I think that McDermott is doing precisely this. Would Beane have traded Boogie for next to nothing sans the approval of McDermott? Would he be allowed to? Would Beane have traded up for Edmunds and Elam without approval (let alone encouragement) from McDermott? What am I missing?
  21. Marv Levy might be sitting by the phone.
  22. When he is in charge. You don't think that he was a McDermott pick and that McDermott has the most authority?
  23. Real? OK then. 👍👌
  24. He is one of my favorite players. I REALLY wanted the Bills to take him but of course McDermott puts defense first. That said, we did well taking Rousseau but I really do think that Dickerson would have made a HUGE difference on our Bills. Did you see him carrying Coach Saban on the field after title game?
  25. Your thought above makes total sense, unless of course Leatherwood is injured, or having other problems. In the short video I posted, he was a freshman stepping in for an injured Jonah Williams. He was also a teammate of Eagle guard Landon Dickerson in the 2021 title game. Leatherwood has plenty of experience at guard as well. Again, I have no way of knowing what type of problem he may or may not have but I agree with you in that he really might be worth a look. The NFL isn't for everybody but he was an excellent college player.
