Come down off your throne and leave your body alone Somebody must change You are the reason I've been waiting so long Somebody holds the key But I'm near the end and I just ain't got the time And I'm wasted and I can't find my way home

Now the time has come (Time) There's no place to run (Time) I might get burned up by the sun (Time) But I had my fun (Time) I've been loved and put aside (Time) I've been crushed by the tumbling tide (Time) And my soul has been psychedelicized (Time)

Pats give DeVante Parker a Big Extension
Bill from NYC replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't dispute anything you said above. That said, older athletes can lose it all at once. Also, injuries are slower to heal as we age. Trust me on this. Rogers is great and is a HOF QB but his skills will deteriorate sooner than later. Anyway, it's just a hunch. -
Blue sky, Sunshine, what a day to take a walk in the park. Ice cream, Day dream, till the sky becomes a blanket of stars. What a day for pickin' daisies, and lots of red balloons. And what a day for holdin' hands and bein' with you. Lazy Day, Just right for lovin' away. Lazy Day, Made for a stroll in the lane, Baby, you and me (Baby you and me) And the honey bee ('Neath a shady tree) Lazy Day, Lazy Day, Lazy Day 'N' you 'n' me

Pats give DeVante Parker a Big Extension

It wouldn't really surprise me if you are correct but imo the Jets will finish last. It is hard for me to picture Rogers having a complete season. If he can stay healthy, I think that he will make another 50 million dollars next year, so it is hard for me to picture him taking so many risks, especially given his age. He might want to sit out some games. What Rogers will certainly do is stir fan interest for the Jets and the NFL, at least for a while. Also, if he does a tab of acid before games, it might throw his timing and vision off just a bit. -
She talks kinda lazy And people say she she's crazy And her life's a mystery Oh but Love grows where my Rosemary goes And nobody knows like me

McDermott & Beane Extended Through 2027
Bill from NYC replied to BritBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Can't you see how contradictory this post is. Do you wish to change the wording perhaps? You state that "McDermott has the overrule power" (you even stated that this is "clear" ) but Beane makes the personnel decisions? Really? -

No but "Sysyphean Bills," "Pills and Bills," and "Pass the Pipe" are still battling for the lead. -
McDermott & Beane Extended Through 2027
Bill from NYC replied to BritBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
For once we disagree LOL. I think that the drafts and even free agent signings are far more influenced by McDermott than Beane, and for the very reasons that you state above. McDermott entered Buffalo by trading away the pick for Mahomes and drafting a corner. He traded up in round 1 for a LB and another corner. I even think that the Von Miller deal (not a terrible one mind you) was engineered by McDermott and executed by Beane, and I feel the same about the Oliver contract (and even his draft selection.) McDermott is mostly about defense. Some of the above moves harmed the team in terms of leaving Josh short of weapons. We really do need Kincaid (who looks very good to me from what little I have seen of him) to develop rapidly and help the situation on offense. -

My compliments for a funny, original screen name. In fact, I'm going to place that particular handle in my top 10 all time TSW screen names. Bravo! -
Yeah I think that I led that parade. I once saw Mallett throw a 50 yard post pattern.....flat footed and standing still. The ball was never 15 feet high. There was no air under the ball and the pass looked like a relay from a major league outfielder. The man had what was easily in the top 5 QBs that I ever saw in terms of arm strength in terms of distance and his fastball. He had problems as a kid but was at this point a HS football coach. I hope that he got his life together. RIP.

Josh Jacobs grew up in Oklahoma and at one point was homeless and living in a car with his father. He played well in HS football and was a 3 star running back. At the last minute there was an opening at Alabama and Saban offered him a spot. Josh worked his ass off and was a very big asset to the team. Josh is not THE most talented RB in the NFL but he can run, catch, and block. He plays bigger than his size and goes all out on every play. By all accounts he is a good man. He does have a DUI arrest which was stupid of him but I doubt that it will happen again. I am glad that he has made millions of dollars and I hope that he makes millions more.

I too am not a clothes horse and have made several purchases at Men's Warehouse. Imo they sell great stuff but to me they are quite expensive. And yes, they were very helpful. -

Why not buy your first house at 56 years old

Good luck and best wishes! -
I've been thinking about our fortune And I've decided that we're really not to blame For the love that's deep inside us now is still the same And the sounds we make together Is the music to the story in your eyes It's been shining down upon me now, I realize

I went in the exact same way. I respected them back in the day but never thought to go see them. Have a great time and do let me know how you rate the show. 👍

I am hoping that Steely Dan tours again, even without Becker. Fagan still sounds great and they have 10x the catalogue of TFF.

I saw Tears For Fears on Saturday night up at Mohegan Sun. Their old hits were OK; I would say about 70% of what they once were. Their new stuff was quite forgetable. I am thinking that they are trying too hard to stay what they think is relevant (if that makes any sense). Overall the show was not worth the money imo and I do not recommend going to one of their shows. Of course, this is jmo.

I have a friend in town, he's heard your name We can go out driving on Slow Hand Row We could stay inside and play games, I don't know And you could have a change of heart Rikki don't lose that number You don't want to call nobody else Send it off in a letter to yourself Rikki don't lose that number It's the only one you own You might use it if you feel better When you get home

Thanks for this. What happens if the player takes drugs, etc. and gets thrown off of the team? Btw I am under the impression that Alabama set up a fund to which fans can contribute. I plan to make a modest donation lol.

Turning back the pages to the times I love best I wonder if she'll ever do the same? Now the thing that I call living Is just being satisfied With knowing I got no one left to blame Carefree highway I've got to see you my old flame Carefree highway You've seen better days The morning after blues From my head down to my shoes Carefree highway Let me slip away, slip away on you
