  1. He was the Bobby Murcer of the NFL. Murcer was a very good player but he replaced Micky Mantle in center field. Schobel replaced Bruce, an obvious all time great. AS was about all we had in terms of pass rush for much of his time here. He was also lined up in ridiculous formations. The man even had 10 sacks in his last season but he was obviously fed up with the stupidity of Bills management.
  2. You know, I initially thought otherwise but when I looked up their stats, they were much closer than I thought. Mario Williams (11 Seasons): 97.5 sacks 399 combined tackles 16 forced fumbles Aaron Schobel (9 seasons): 78 sacks 483 combined tackles 21 forced fumbles
  3. She's come undone She found a mountain that was far too high And when she found out she couldn't fly Mama, it was too late It's too late She's gone too far She's lost the sun She's come undone
  4. He does, but it won't be easy against Taylor and Anderson.
  5. Me too but it will be tough competing with Ken Anderson and Otis Taylor who both totally belong in the HOF.
  6. Sounds like someone who would be quite beneficial to be around.
  7. The above is virtually beyond dispute. Getting old happens quickly, and there is nothing like having some money in the bank, safe investments, and yes.....in your pocket. Today, people are having weddings all over the world and expect guests to spend thousands of dollars to attend. I equate going to one of these to flushing money down the toilet. I know a guy who threw himself a birthday party on some island in the Bahamas. I wouldn't even consider going. I have seen folks go to Europe, or even fly to Alaska to fish for salmon. They post pictures on facebook and pay the interest on the credit card. That is fine for them but I'll pass. My advice in this category: Unless you have lots of extra cash that you don't mind spending, do not own a car that is not under factory warranty, and if you buy an extended warranty, get it from the auto company. The "check airbag" light came on in my car. Without a warranty, the cost was $955.00,' and this was 2 years ago. Air conditioning repairs can cost more than 3,000 dollars, perhaps even 4K. I pay for the warranty and buy a new car just before it expires.
  8. You were doing well until the end. You see, if Nathan Peterman could "manage the game, play after play, like Brady and Mahomes," HE would even "win all day long." Keeping Josh healthy should be the #1 priority of McDermott. He doesn't focus enough on the OL so it obviously is not. The #2 priority should be providing him with weapons. He does an inadequate job at this as well. Call me crazy but if Josh continues to take these risks he will almost certainly sustain injuries. Hey, jmo.
  9. Some say that you're sure to find True love and peace of mind At the end of a rainbow There's no sign in the sky to follow 'Cause that's the way love goes Baby, that's the way love goes And so there's a rhyme That says life will soon be fine Love is just what you make it Keep on lovin', you'll soon discover A mighty love
  10. The above is pure common sense. Hey, I too confess to enjoying watching Josh run. He is big, fast, strong and athletic, and i'm thinking that DBs have to stay back because the man can flick a football 50 yards from his wrist. Still, when he takes off it leaves a knot in my stomach because at some point, he will get destroyed. It is all but inevitable. Derrick Henry is much stronger than Josh. It isn't close and even he is probably slowing down considerably at the age of 29. Like you say in other threads, QBs are protected these days. Owners cannot slip players money to pay fines for flagrant fouls like they did in the old NFL. I can only imagine the careers that QBs like Dan Fouts, Ken Stabler, and Bert Jones, etc. would have had with these new rules but I digress. At the same time, RBs are getting slaughtered and do not last. There is way to much brutal contact for them to hold up. The last point I will make is a sad one. Without Josh, the Bills stand very little to no chance of winning, let alone making it to a Supperbowl. The roster without Josh doesn't suck, but it wouldn't really scare most teams. This is why I get so pissed off when the Bills neglect the OL and WR positions on draft day. If they continue to do so, I truly believe that Josh is going to get really furious down the road and I won't blame him.
  11. I woke up this morning baby I had you on my mind I woke up this morning baby You know that I felt so fine You know I need you You know that I love you This is my pledge of love to My pledge of love My pledge of love Darling, darling, darling to you
  12. People would be shocked if they knew what is going on in schools. In NYC, principals are judged and rated on how few criminal incidents are reported. If nobody (parents, students, etc.) notifies the police, most school administrators will not report knifepoint robberies, stabbings, felony assaults, etc. They prefer to handle it "in house." They don't want the bad publicity. What is the ultimate gain for these principals? A do nothing job at the BOE in Brooklyn on Livingston Street. If the true NYC school crime rates were exposed, they would come close to the NFL injury rates but that will never happen.
  13. She moved in like a friend, started loving me And I thought I'd found my heaven in her arms But the morning when I woke-up I was here and she was gone Now I'm hanging on Maybe you can tell me How a love so, right can turn out to be so wrong, oh my darling? How a love so right, can turn out to be so wrong
  14. To the many folks who think that moving will completely change their lives: No matter where you go, there YOU are.
  15. Every night, I still hear All your sighs very clear Now love's gone, gone away As I once heard you say Now I've cried just a little 'cause I loved you so And I've died just a little 'cause I had to go Away
  16. I fully agree. I do not wish him death. This would be due to my religious views but as far as caring.....please. Who else should I care about, Ted Bundy?
  17. New York City took me with the tide And I nearly died from hospitality Left me stranded, took away my pride Just another no account fatality I kept on looking for a sign in the middle of the night But I couldn't see the light, no, I couldn't see the light I kept on looking for a way to take me through the night Couldn't get it right, I couldn't get it right
  18. Drove from Paris to the Amsterdam Hilton Talking in our beds for a week The newspapers said, "Say what you doing in bed?" I said, "We're only trying to get us some peace"
  19. Well mother don't you stop prayin' Father keep right on prayin' Don't you stop prayin' for this old world is almost done Keep your lamps trimmed and burning Keep your lamps trimmed Keep your lamps trimmed and burning For this old world is almost done
  20. Prayers up. May God bless this boy and his family.
  21. Lay me on the ground And fly me in the sky Show me where to look Tell me, what will I find? What will I find? Yeah Yeah Yeah Whoa, Heaven let your light shine down Whoa, Heaven let your light shine down Whoa, Heaven let your light shine down Whoa, Heaven let your light shine down
  22. Tua is a great guy. His teammates at Alabama loved him. Even the ever so serious Nick Saban would rave about him at press conferences. Saban once said that Tua was so well mannered that being around him was making him more polite (perhaps a dubious claim). Here is a clip of Tua talking about dealing with Coach Saban; it's one of my favorite Crimson Tide videos.
  23. You do know what they say about great minds lol! And we both chose excellent songs to boot. 👍
  24.
