I think that folks are bashing the league and the favoritism that the refs are giving the Chiefs more than they are bashing Taylor Swift. She is just making millions and living her life. What's wrong with that? Taylor Swift is not the one ignoring Bills players getting pulled around by their face mask. That would be the referees. She probably doesn't even know it is happening.

The above is a very reasonable take.

Gunner's 2025 Mock Draft - v2.0 now LIVE on p.11
Bill from NYC replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm glad that he chose not to say in school, and I really thought that he would. He just isn't a good quarterback, and I am admittedly spoiled by Hurts, Tua, Mac, and Bryce. When Jermaine Burton had his pro day in Tuscaloosa, he wanted Ty Simpson to throw to him instead of Milroe. People remember him for that miracle pass in the Iron Bowl. It WAS a great play, but Auburn had a stupid defense which enabled it. They only rushed two defenders against the HUGE offensive line of Alabama. Check out how much time he had to throw..... -

I'm no expert but I think that this is one of the worst drafts I have seen in a very long time. There does however seem to be plenty of tight ends, and the Bills don't have a need at that position. Btw where do you see Jaxon Dart going? I think that he will be a good QB in the NFL. -

GB, how much of an impact do you think this game had on Jalen Milroe's draft status? I for one think that even in a weak QB class, his stock went drastically lower. I am not, nor was I ever a fan of his as a quarterback. I have seen him projected as an early first round pick and I just don't get it. I wouldn't take him in the third or even fourth round. -
It isn't like the old days CB. The league doesn't really care about point spreads as much as they care about camera shots of Taylor Swift. They need wins for the Chiefs so they can show her again and again. I will however say that this cannot go on indefinitely. I truly believe that a majority of NFL Fans either think, or strongly suspect that these games are rigged and the Chiefs are getting favorable calls. If it doesn't stop at some point the NFL is the WWE. Of course, this is jmo.

With his 64 million per year salary, and who know how much more he gets under the table? I thought that I was being original. I suppose that I should have known better.

CB, young girls will be watching this game that don't care at all about football. She is as big as (or the closest thing to) Elvis and the Beatles. Advertisers are not unaware of this. As for my prediction, I had not seen it anywhere else. I thought I was being original. 😒

If the Chiefs win, Kelce will propose to her on the field, after the game. You heard it here first lol.

Dave, I always have (and still do) consider you to be a very good poster. That said, I'm really not concerned at all what you think of me, or my posts. If you do not think that this game was influenced by the league, the refs, and the marketing value of Taylor Swift I think that is wonderful. If you think that cornerbacks (and McDuffie is very good) determined the outvome of this game more than the marketing value that Taylor Swift brings to the league, more power to ya. Above, you cite the Houston game. I'm glad that it meant a lot to you. To me it meant zero. There are podcasts galore claiming that our game was rigged, complete with insane spots, and uncalled face mask penalties against the Chiefs. If you think this game was decided by cornerback play, congrats! Finally, yes; I will be unhappy if the Bills draft a first round corner because I think that they have other more important needs. I will however be happy for you. and I'm serious. Again, I would regret the pick but it would be nice to know that at least one fellow fan/poster will be lounging in cornerback heaven. Be well. -

Yes and James Williams, Henry Jones, Thomas Smith, Jeff Burris, Antoine Winfield, Nate Clements, Donte Whitner, and Leodis McKelvin also send their regards. The list of running backs also wanted to say hi but I told them to check in later. -

Yes, you have made this clear. Tre White (in lieu of Mahomes) and Kaiir Elam both say hi. -

One thing time has taught me is that corner (and safety) are always in play for the Buffalo Bills, especially in round one. -

Is Derrick Harmon truly a better DT than Walter Nolen? I know nohing at all about Harmon but Nolen is a monster. I have watched him play for years and he is really tough to move. I even doubt that Nolen will be there that late. In any event thanks for the post. -
In some ways, this is worse than the drought in my opinion
Bill from NYC replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
The above is where I strongly disagree. The teams during the drought could have had Tom Brady as QB and still would have sucked. Why? Because none of those teams had even a decent offensive line. How many good blockers can you name during the drought? Jonas Jennings? He was pretty good for a while and we lost him to free agency. Ruben Brown? He was very good but surrounded by bad players. Jason Peters? He was GREAT and we traded him. I am not going to bother naming them because the list is too long, but our OL consisted of some of the worst players in the NFL. So, who would they draft early? Running backs (with no blocking) and secondary. Today our OL is good, sometimes very good. They can hold off some great defenders, but it is hard trying to block Taylor Swift. The refs don't allow it. They showed fewer camera shots of her on Sunday. The league heard the grumbling that fans were thinking the games are fixed and got nervous. She still got the winning call on the fourth down and we lost. In summary, I would much rather watch the Bills now than during the drought, unless we are facing Taylor Swift. Btw, I am expecting a down on one knee marriage proposal on Super Bowl Sunday. You heard it here first. -
I voted "other." I still think he has too much power in the draft. Good coach but there needs to be a strong GM. Jmo.

A "Tush Push" to the right just once would have been nice....
Bill from NYC replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
Our current OL is very good, but I might have overrated them just a bit because of how bad they were for decades. I know all about Jalen Hurts. He is a very strong player and squats huge amounts of weight. He has been doing so since his early college days. The thing is, Josh is bigger and stronger than Hurts, yet when the Eagles untilze the tush push they are virtually unstoppable. I was expecting the same results from the Bills. It will be quite interesting to see how the Eagles fare with the tush push against KC. I have a feeling that it will work but we will see. I think that McDermott should continue to draft receivers. He should also draft more blockers to add talent and depth to the (already good) OL. I didn't like the trade away from Worthy and posted as much at the time. My position was if they thought Coleman was going to be great, they wouldn't have traded back. As it stands we gave the Chiefs Mahomes and Worthy, and I remind folks that Beane wasn't there for the Mahomes trade. In any event, the Bills played hard. They gave it all they had and they are ours. We will never be out of contention with a healthy Josh Allen. I for one am going to keep the faith and not freak out like I used to. It didn't do me any good. Of course! I was not even confident being up with 13 seconds remaining. Unfortunately, I am not the most optimistic person by nature. I can't really explain it but I feel different going into this game and I'm not sure why. I don't have my normal dose of anxiety, mixed with nervous frustration. I think that we are going to win. We will soon see what happens but I gotta say that it feels good to go into a playoff game feeling this way. Other than the wide right season, have any TBDers felt more confident about the Bills winning a Super Bowl than you do right now? I ask this because I for one have not. I just think that Josh looks unstoppable and the OL looks fabulous. I'm approaching the KC game without the lingering fear of something going bad that has haunted me the other times that we got this close. It really does feel great!!!!!
