Anyone down to help me with a football pool at work?
Bill from NYC replied to Gman10's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think that the Lions are great. I picked them before the season to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. They should win easily imo. -
They say that all good things must end someday Autumn leaves must fall But don't you know that it hurts me so To say goodbye to you? Wish you didn't have to go No, no, no, no And when the rain beats against my window pane I'll think of summer days again And dream of you

Non Bill, unheralded, under the radar favorite player.

I also place Curtis Martin in the class of a "statistics compiler." I am NOT saying that he wasn't very good, because he was. I just think that his greatest asset was endurance. Of course, jmo. -
Sly look that we keep the promise, ladies And make me get off Take it from girls with our imagination So we can get off Call me up at your place, I can love you crazy In the heat you will understand Danger and excitement, that's what makes a lady Find out what she wants in a man

Here is a Hall of Fame LB. It took him forever to get inducted. I was very young when he played but I always thought that he was great. He was one of the best LBs I ever saw play, easily in the top 10 imo. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Brazile -

Not really under the radar but Davonta Smith. He's not the biggest or the fastest wr, but he is spectacular. What he could do with Josh Allen throwing to him is unthinkable. -
A Grateful Dead song by perhaps the greatest living guitarist. It doesn't get much better than this imo.......

As I said before, as a Crimson Tide fan, Tua is one of my favorite non-Bill players, and perhaps one of the nicest people in sports by all accounts. That said, I never want to see him play another down. He probably should have retired before this incident. Still, I have no sympathy for the Dolphins and I'd love to see Jaylen Waddle escape from Miami, perhaps to Buffalo for a few high draft choices. I can dream, can't I?

I see that worried look upon your face You've got your troubles, I've got mine She's found somebody else to take your place You've got your troubles, I've got mine I too have lost my love today All of my dreams have flown away

I have watched Tua and have been a fan of his since he threw his first pass at Alabama, let alone when he threw the best game winning, clutch TD pass I for one have ever seen. There is no team or player that I am capable of rooting for against the Bills and this includes Tua, but by ALL accounts; the man is a wonderful person. Nick Saban once said that HE is more polite just from having been around Tua. I wish that he retired before this horrible injury and hope to NEVER see him play football again. I pray that he heals 100% and goes on to enjoy his life, because this is more important than football. Get better Tua and God bless.

I know this super highway This bright familiar sun I guess that I'm the lucky one Who wrote that tired sea song Set on this peaceful shore You think you've heard this one before Well the danger on the rocks is surely past Still I remain tied to the mast Could it be that I have found my home at last Home at last

Everybody's smoking, and no one's getting high Everybody's flying, and never touch the sky There's UFO's over New York, and I ain't too surprised Nobody told me there'd be days like these Nobody told me there'd be days like these Nobody told me there'd be days like these Strange days indeed Most peculiar, Mama

When Alabama was the National Champion in 2021 they had what I consider to be one of the best teams in college football history, especially on offense. That said, there was NO WAY that they could have beat the worst team in the NFL, and I even posted this at the time. College teams just cannot defeat NFL teams.

Tyreek Hill apparently arrested this morning…

You make excellent points that are quite fair. Nobody says that you have to adore police officers but acting like a mature adult when dealing with them will almost always produce better results. -
Random talking head says something about the Bills

It's true. Josh will be considered an all time great in the future. His talent is virtually unmatched and unlimited. -
Boys - take it right on down to the gator Oh boys - gotta take a side elevator Can't you hear those hip cats call Come on boys let's have a ball The jip-jam-jump is a jumpin' jive Makes you dig your jive on the mellow side The jip-jam-jump is a solid jive Makes you nine foot tall when you're four foot five

I don't think so. They play other lesser teams and will work their way into the playoffs. That said, it doesn't seem fair. They should just join a conference (Big Ten) and face real teams. Jmo.

Thanks, that makes me feel a little better. The truth is I can't recall you ever being wrong about an Alabama prediction.

What are they mad about? Seriously. -
The score of the Alabama game didn't reflect what happened on the field. Bama did NOT look good. I was not at all happy. The RT was stunningly bad. They were penalized constantly throughout the game (to include a targeting penalty which seemed unintentional but I guess intent doesn't matter). They let receivers get open and were lucky that the opposing QB was a lousy passer (but excellent runner). At this point, QB Milroe is vastly overrated imo. Great runner, questionable passer and decision maker. 21 of their points came late in the game. The opponent was tired and worn down. They play a real team next Saturday (Wisconsin) and will HAVE to improve to have a decent chance of winning. Again, ignore the score. Jmo.
