  1. I get mixed emotions It's the way my feelings flow Excuse me I'm only human Sometimes I, I just don't know Every time I move I lose When I look I'm in And every time I turn around I'm back in love again
  2. The term didn't belong to McDermott. He co-opted the term "process" from Nick Saban and pretended it was his. Saban was using that term long before McDermott got here. And just what was his "process" from day 1? Trading away the Mahomes pick and drafting a corner instead? Trading up in round 1 and drafting a corner to play in a zone? Drafting undersized DTs? Trading up to draft a MLB? McDermott is a good game coach imo. He does make some good decisions. He is killing us wrt the draft and nobody can convince me that he does not have more power than Beane. Of course he does, he brought Beane into Buffalo.
  3. Until I read your post I was sitting here having forgot that I bet the Bills to win the Super Bowl while at Mohegan Sun watching a concert. Thanks for the reminder, I guess.
  4. Saban obviously is the GOAT but I cannot understand why he started this kid at QB. He has no composure, accuracy, field presence, nor the ability to make good decisions. He has not changed from last season. Teams can stack the lines and dare him to throw his inaccurate passes. Milroe is a great runner, and I do mean great. The thing is, he often decides to run when it is too late. The center is usually pretty good. On Bama boards, folks are saying he was sick but who knows? The sad truth is that The Tiide were beaten and out coached. I never thought that I would live to see Saban out coached in a college game. I think that they certainly have enough talent to bounce back, but not with Milroe at QB.
  5. Bad sneakers and A Piña colada, my friend Stomping on the avenue By Radio City with a Transistor and a large Sum of money to spend
  6. Bills - 34 Jets - 20 The Bills will coast to victory unless the refs take over the game. The NFL would just love for the Jets to win. Between Aaron Rogers ands 9/11, a Jets win would benefit the league financially. There is no more "mafia" as we knew it to try to influence game outcomes. Now, big business has all of the power.
  7. That night we fell in love Beneath the stars above That was a lovely summer night Remember then, then Then, then, then
  8. The Lions got a steal in Brian Branch with the 14th pick in round 2. Many (including our own @GunnerBill iirc) had him going in round 1. The thing about Branch is that he kept working very hard in college and one could clearly see steady, even game to game improvement. He would have fit well on the Bills but we had/have too many offensive needs to draft him. This post is NOT a complaint. Yeah, I am delighted to find out about his pick 6 against the Chiefs!
  9. Good video. On offense, Bama is exceptionally deep at RB and TE. This kid Niblack looks amazing and they have at least 3 other good ones. That freshman RB Haynes needs more playing time but they have at least 5 good ones. The OL is better than last year. The receivers seem to have improved. Check out Kobe prentice. Milroe was impressive but he will face many good teams. I think that he can do it but if he cannot, I do like Ty Simpson. On defense, this might actually be the best set of LBs in the history of the team, this after losing Will Anderson! The secondary is talented and deep. If the DL can provide some amount of pressure, teams will have trouble scoring. Steele (unlike Golding) loves the attack style defense and these lbs (led by Dallas Turner) are amazing. Texas will be a tough test. They are talented and I am a big fan of Sark. I hope we can shut down his complicated offense. ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Like to tell you 'bout my baby You know she comes around She 'bout five feet-four A-from her head to the ground Know she comes around here Just about midnight Make me feel so good She make me feel all right And her name is G-L-O-I-I-I-I G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria! G-L-O-R-I-A Gloria! I'm gonna shout it all night Gloria! I'm gonna shout it every place Gloria! Yeah, yeah, yeah
  11. His coach drafts defensive players. He places more importance in corner backs than he does in blockers and wide receivers for his GREAT quarterback, players that didn't help that much in 13 seconds. McDermott does not bring out the best in Josh. Josh is great in spite of him.
  12. Okay, so your heart is broken You sit around mopin' Cryin' and cryin' You say you're even thinkin' about dyin?' Well, before you do anything rash, dig this Everybody plays the fool sometime There's no exception to the rule Listen, baby, it may be factual may be cruel I ain't lyin', everybody plays the fool
  13. As a lifelong Alabama Fan I understand how you feel. I'm not accustomed to The Tide losing many games but that said, perhaps you might be overreacting. Dabo is a great, championship winning coach. He (imo) is a fantastic game manager. Where he may lack is his ability (or perhaps even will) to adapt to NIL, but this can be fixed imo. Dabo is in a great situation down there. His competetion is virtually non existant, in that Clemson usually seems to have a very weak schedule. Clemson teams are deep with talent and they have 10x the athletes than almost any team they ever face. When Saban retires (and trust me I dread that ugly day), Dabo would be on or near the top of the list of who I would want to replace him. And btw, your season is FAR from over. Now would be a good time to bet on Clemson. They are about to crush the so-so ACC teams that they play, and I do mean CRUSH them.
  14. I understand why the old fisherman Sail along, sail along, sail along. sail along, sail along, Someday he'll be gone I'll take a melody and see what I can do about it. I'll take a simple C and G and feel brand now about it. Shine on, keep on shining, shine on, Keep on shining, shine on, keep on shining, Shine on, keep on shining, shine on, Keep on shining, shine on, keep on shining.
  15. Time was drifting This rocker got to roll So I hit the road and made my getaway Restless feeling, really got a hold I started searching for a better way But I kept on looking for a sign In the middle of the night But I couldn't see the light No, I couldn't see the light I kept on looking for a way To take me through the night I couldn't get it right I couldn't get it right
  16. I am too lazy to look it up. If someone cares to respond, how serious were his crimes? Did he beat up women? Were there any sex crime allegations? Was he doing stickups? Did he cause serious injury to anybody? Or, was he primarily just a drunken and/or drug using a-hole doing harm to mostly himself?
  17. Ain't nobody messin' with you but you Your friends are getting most concerned Loose with the truth, maybe its your fire Baby I hope you don't get burned When the smoke has cleared, she said That's what she said to me You're gonna want a bed to lay your head And a little sympathy
  18. Almost???? They are already second rate compared to the SEC and Big 10. Did you see what Georgia (and now Colorado lol) did to TCU? Did you see what a below their normal standard Alabama team did to Kansas State? Dabo is very smart not to bring Clemson into the SEC. He has a very deep team every season. They only play 1 or perhaps 2 high quality teams per season. He gets to rest all of his starters and keep them fresh. If one of the starters does get injured, he will be replaced by an experienced backup. With the 12 team playoffs looming, teams will automatically get playoff spots for winning their weak conferences, including the virtually non-existant PAC 12. Do you think that this is fair?
  19. Tell me the cost; I can pay, let me go, tell me love is not lost. Sell everything; without love day to day insanity's king. I will pay day by day, anyway, lock bolt and key. Crippled but free, I was blind all the time I was learning to see. Help on the way, well I know only this, I've got you today. Don't fly away, cause I love what I love and I want it that way. I will stay one more day, like I say, honey it's you. Making it too, without love in a dream it will never come true
  20. Bingo!!! Iirc, Hank Aaron smoked cigarettes. Genetics definitely do play a roll. I have not a clue about how, or how much Josh Allen works out. Whatever he is doing or not doing, the man is a super specimen. He is as strong as an ox, lightning fast, leaps over people, and can probably throw a football more than 80 yards, perhaps even without much strain. Lots of players can do SOME of these things. Bledsoe had similar arm strength to Josh for example but he was not agile and couldn't run. I could name many other QBs who fit that description. Didn't Allen grow up on and work in a farm? People like that must gain strength early on as well (in addition to genetics). Bryce Paup didn't have rippling muscles, but remember how strong he was? He would move offensive liemen away by extending his arms. He grew up on a farm in Iowa. I agree 100% that when they age, athletes must make certain changes to slow down the inevitable ageing process. In fact, we all should make these changes to do so. That said, I am not worried about Josh in that sense. At least not yet.
  21. I have been critical of dumb moves over the years but that does NOT make me less of a fan. I bet the Bills to win the Super Bowl this season and I think it is quite possible with a break or two!
  22. Great post! On any fan message board there will certainly be fans that dwell mostly on the negative. And as you say, the other extreme is equally (if not slightly more) annoying. The problem with both of these extremes imo it it often renders posters like this incapable of an original thought. There are still posters who think that the Jason Peters trade was good. A few might even think that Donte Whitner was a good draft pick. It's all good. In the end we are all Bills fans and we deal with the pleasure and the pain in our own ways.
  23. I KNEW that the OP wouldn't sit well with you. 😁😁😁
