  1. Keep Florece and Poz. Sign Trueblood and especially Boss. Dump Whitner.
  2. I am very sorry Scott.
  3. What leads to making your statement true is the fact that a majority of Americans might not understand the work "libertarian." Then, most others who do understand the word probably have different definitions. For instance.....I am huge on people having rights, but I do not belong to the Libertarian Party. So, am I a libertarian or not? You see? That said, I happen to agree with you. I think that today, people are far less concerned with the rights of others, unless of course it is trendy to support (or not support) one particular group. Even at that, the American public isn't too keen on rights these days. It took elected officials in NY to allow gay marriages, and it was interestingly voted down by the people in the "liberal" state of California. Sorry to stray off topic, but again, I generally agree with your comments.
  4. http://aol.sportingnews.com/nfl/story/2011-07-17/cincinnati-bengals-rb-cedric-benson-arrested-in-texas?icid=maing-grid7%7Cmain5%7Cdl2%7Csec3_lnk2%7C78337 As I recall, there were a couple of posters saying he was "set up" by the police. Well, they must have set him up again LOL!!!
  5. If this is enough for you, so be it. But the blocking (more than the posters) has sucked for 15 or so years and the team is a serial loser during this same stretch. Some can see a correlation. Others cannot, or are kidding themselves.
  6. Good enough for what?
  7. Kirwan takes some heat on this board, but he was dead on with this article and deserves kudos. He mentioned needs at RT and TE, and said that Trueblood and Boss would be great additions. Imo, these 2 would come to town and make this a different team. Neither is a superstar, but both of them are big, tough, and exactly what this team needs to contend offensively. Thanks to the OP for posting it!
  8. No, they really cannot. The only way for the Bills to be competitive this season is to find a right tackle, and hopefully a tight end. I think that the defense will be better, but it might take a few games. Maybe half a season. They will need to score points early on, and they haven't been able to do so because of their perpetually weak OL. TE? We haven't had a good one since Pete Metz. The above is not to downplay the need for a backup qb. It's a shame that they shunned Ryan Mallett.
  9. I know, thus the smile emoticon. It would be SOOO freaking great if one of these underachievers could step up. For instance, the Bills could win an extra game (at least) if Spiller could even approach the level of a first round pick, let alone a number 9. I have very high expectations for Dareus and hope that he will break this trend.
  10. I appreciate the fact that we are having an abstract conversation, but the above is a reach and a half.
  11. I agree with this entire post, other than the assertion that Antwoine Winfield is a "shut down corner." You might want to re-think that one and come up with a name such as Deion or Mel Blount.
  12. Gailey is a very good offensive mind. He is a smart man and like him or not, so is his quarterback. Jauron is a defensive backs coach who is good at teaching a painfully bad defense to his players. One that had Aaron Schobel covering receivers when he was the only pass rusher on the team. One that went backwards and never attacked and was built upon defensive backs (that weren't all that). As for Nix, please go to drafthistory.com and tell me how he could be any worse than Levy/Jauron. Anyway, I hope that I'm right, but feel very safe in thinking that Nix/Gailey couldn't be as bad as those two. It doesn't seem possible.
  13. I understand your complaints, but the above is simply NOT TRUE. In fact, it is miles from being true. The 2006 draft and free agent signings are enough to tell you each and every thing you need to know about Levy/Jauron. Those two crippled this franchise. They wasted great draft picks and spent tens of millions of dollars on free agents who sucked. If Nix/Gailey are total idiots (which I do not believe), this would qualify them as being 10x better than Levy/Jauron. They were utter disasters; it's beyond words how horrible they were at each and every aspect of running an NFL franchise. And btw, I hated the Spiller pick as much as any Bills fan in America. I am NOT giving Nix/Gailey a clean slate. I also see your point about not drafting blockers. You are right! But, Levy/Jauron, as much as some do not want to hear it, were in the Rich Kotite category of losers. Sad but true.
  14. Thank you for a perfect post.
  15. Kevin Boss would be nothing less than a perfect fit for this football team. His teammates named him "6'7" Kevin." Boss would walk onto the field and improve run blocking and pass protection. And, he is a clutch receiver. A throwback type to Pete Metz. Combine Boss, a RT (hopefully Trueblood), and Gailey, and the Bills just might have a credible offense. One thing I do know is that with those two, the Bills would not be losing 12 games. Of course I am dreaming, but it is a pleasant dream indeed.
  16. Sure.....read the thread. One poster (thanks to whoever deleted it) suggested that smokers commit suicide. Another stated that his wife was forced to take a shower because she walked by cigarette smokers. I don't view it as "personal," because it isn't. I am saddened by the lack of tolerance by too many Americans, and distressed how people are like sheep. You know, just supporting everything trendy. Anyway, the link is very cool footage. It defines what a hero is imo. And, it does well to depict real life in the "big city." Be well, and keep channeling me.
  17. Want to see what a hero is? Check out this video. Listen to what the newscaster says at the very end. I hope this brave man isn't suspended or fired for smoking. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/06/24/nypd-jumper_n_884406.html
  18. Scheme or no scheme, the line was overall was small, weak, and not particularly quick. They were helped a great deal by having a very mobile qb. Trueblood is a big angry monster. He is what the Bills need. Jmo.
  19. Good info, thanks a lot. I have talked to Buc Fans who like Trueblood a lot. I would be absolutely thrilled if they sign him, even if it takes huge dollars. Throw in Kevin Boss and they would account for a couple of wins imo.
  20. Too bad he didn't declare himself the failure that he is and resign. He might be competent to manage a car wash.
  21. The following is NOT to insult you, so PLEASE do not take offense. I could be way off base, but my guess is that you are FOR the trendy issues of today. I would like to know your stance on marijuana and gay marriages. Btw, these issues do not terribly concern me one way or the other. It seems like you, and so many others have been indoctrinated. And, your post above paints you as quite submissive. That said, I enjoy the interaction. It is a good thing to consider the views of others. Be well, and GO BILLS!!!!!
