Donte Whitner is symbolic of every single thing that is wrong with this team. His selection, attitude and his level of play point to why this team is where it is, and this includes much of what you mentioned. Badol is expressing his opinion about his level of play, which btw clearly cost his team a superbowl. He thinks (and I agree) that Whitner is a mediocre at best safety. Why are you so invested in his opinion of one football player? Why not leave it alone and perhaps you will see his side on other issues? Or maybe not, but at least there is room for interesting, constructive dialogue.

Try watching "Love Happens" and then let me know if there was ever a worse movie.

Great idea!!! Badol, how would you rate Moore as compared to Fitz in terms of talent, and who is a better fit for this team? Also, do you have any thoughts wrt the qb crop in 2013? I for one am not so high on Tyler Wilson. I tried to get excited about Glennon but it didn't work, and don't know enough about Smith or Nassib to make a pertinent comment. Klein is hard to rate. He can run, and even seems to be able to throw some, But his motion is very odd. It seems as if he pushes the ball, and this can't work in the pros. Can a motion be radically changed? How is the kid from Tennessee? PS: I truly hope that we keep Levitre. Imo he is a great guard in this league given the rule changes.

There were just so many horror show blockers, we could spend days talking about them. Pucillo was just about as bad as it gets at guard, and Jerman was the worst OT perhaps I have ever seen at the professional level. He was SO bad tht I once contacted Lori about him. In so many words, I asked her if I was seeing things, and she confirmed my suspicions. Again, I was actually concerned for his safety. Corey Loucheiy was an interesting player, in terms of being terrible. When he ran out on the field, he looked as he could play. It took me longer than usual to realize that he was flat out horrible. The man just couldn't play at all. Same wrt Fowler. He had the footing and his technique appeared to be sound. He too looked like a center, but he was brutally beaten on almost every down. You can't make this stuff up.

Nice catch. Spriggs was God awful, and he didn't even care when he gave up sacks. In fact, one time against Tampa he missed a block and RJ got crushed. He was on the turf actually bleeding, and Spriggs wouldn't help him up. There was never a player I had less respect for. The absolute worst blocker I ever saw on the Bills was left tackle Greg Jerman. He was bad to the point that he was a danger to have on the field. He was brutalized on every play, and the backs/qbs were on their own. He at least tried, but I actually remember being in fear for his safety.

As a long time poster, I have had my share of hits and misses on this board. Remember, I thought tht RJ was going to be great and lead this team to victory. I fully admit this. That said, my biggest meltdown was when they drafted Whitner. I would have been fine with a list of other players in that stocked draft. And, Marv said that there were numerous trade down offers. I stand by my prediction that he will be cut before next season. Imo, if the 49ers do win the superbowl, they will do so sans Whitner.

Yes he did, but he was too small (never believed his listed weight) and too weak (9 reps with 225 at the combines). I hope that Glenn does return to his early season form. It will mean a lot to this team.

Let's not forget his initial hold out, his domestic incident (he was innocent), or his incident with the police (they were mean to, and picking on him).

The next scenario is that he is cut, and says that he is open for a return to Buffalo. I wouldn't be surprised.

I remember watching Watt on youtube before the draft and liked what I saw. But in no way did I expect him to become the best defensive player in the NFL, let alone in his second season. I found his comment about Mario Williams signing with the Bills to be a tad strange. He said (and I'm paraphrasing of course) that they would miss him in the locker room, but not so much on the field. There was no real reason to say something like this, and imo this too points to steroid use. Roid freaks do not tend to use great judgement. If they did, they would find hot, young women instead of old hags like Madonna (Canseco, A-Rod, and probably Sean Penn LOL). I haven't cared about baseball for many years, but do you remember a Yankee, Randy Velarde? He was a pinch runner, and a late inning defensive replacement. An all around utility player. Then, he came in jacked. I saw him hit a home run over the centerfield wall at Yankee Stadium. So yes, sometimes it really is obvious.

OK, but he is at least average, and btw I think that Pears is an underrated player, though his health is an admitted concern. The Bills are weak at SO many spots, it might be hard and unwise for them to focus on RT, at least with an early pick.

True, but times have changed with the new CBA. Elite LTs were often selected in the top 5. Their cost was HUGE. Now, the Bills would at least appear to have that spot, as well as RT sewn up for a few years. Levitre is their best blocker. There is no reason not to keep him, especially when players such as Kelsay, Barnett, and many others can and will be cut.

I don't disagree. My comment was about the "bpa" philosophy. This team, imo, needs a qb and linebackers in order to win. And we could also use some wrs.

With ALL due respect, I can never wrap myself around this stance. For instance, Dee Miliner might be a better cover corner than Gilmore, albeit less physical. He is regarded in most circles to be the best corner in this draft. Do you think that he would win more games for this particular team than a solid qb or lb? I for one do not. I would rather have Rothlisberger (not the best qb in the NFL by any stretch) on the Bills than Revis (said to be the best cb in the NFL). My point is that bpa regardless of position would not allow the Bills enough room to look at it's roster, and decide which players will win football games for us. Jmo.

I totally agree. I don't care one bit what he tweets. But make no mistake, he is a lousy player. He is just another example of wasted resources by inept management. He can tweet away for all I care, but hopefully while on another team. Justin Rogers is probably a better player.

He was very good, and he too was lost to injury. I think that 1995 was one of the best for the Bills in recent memory.

I vehemently disagree. The 2006 draft was stacked with talent on positions of great need for the Bills. A draft should also be judged by who a team passed on. Levy/Jauron passed on great players in 2006 in order to draft primarily scrubs, and gave up an early 3rd round pick in the ugly process.

Fisher is the head coach, and he's a defense guy. He will implement his scheme and Jauron, a Yale man, will be able to teach it. As for Jauron, he was horrible. He, along with Marv, drafted Whittner at #8, then played him 40 or so yards off of scrimage. Then, he used a #11 on McKelvin, only to put him in a Tampa-2, in which receivers are handed off to safeties. He would even drop Schobel, a legit pass rusher, back into coverage. This team is still trying to recover from the Levy/Jauron Era. They beat this franchise half to death.

Levitre is very agile. He played LT in college, and is custom made for the game today given the rule changes. Not only that, he has a history of durability. And, how would he be replaced? Do you want to use a #8 on Warmack?

There are fans who could have done a better job than what we have seen from the Bills front office people, and I am being totally serious. In 2006, it might not be possible to do worse than Levy/Jauron. They entered this draft with the #8, and an extra early 3rd round pick. They came away with Donte Whittner, Josh McCargo, and Ashton Youboty, and this draft was stocked with talent. This is only one example. So yes, the Bills usually draft at the level of a teenage kid who watches a little youtube and has a few draft magazines. Sometimes worse.
